Last night England's performance against Croatia in Euro08 qualifiers can be at best put as pathetic. Neither the players , nor the manager knew or comfortable with 3-5-2. Lampard, parker specially Carrick was very poor in performance. There was very little service for crouch or rooney. Mclaren dream is over , he cannot play new formations when he does not possess player like gerrard. Croatia on the other hand was nice in their football, neat and decisive.Last word Paul Robinson was unlucky with own goal, but made some decent saves in the match and is still England's no.1 in that position.

im from Bhutan....im a great fan of football....i never miss the live play on TV.well i would like to say Chelsea is a amazing Club in EPL.im sure it would have been better club for them if they could have kept Henan Crespo.every one knows he is a great winner for crucial match.but i still find Chelsea a consintant club.

its bout time england saw sense and dropped rooney and lampard neither of them have done a thing for england (except get sent off in rooney's case!) for far too long to warrant keeping their place. parker and gerrard in the middle for england and someone to provide width on the right (which rules out becks as hes as bad as gerrard for wandering off when england need him wide hes off somewhere else trying to be a hero the pair of them arent whats needed) as for neville at right back the last game showed up his deficiencies as a right back - error prone and too mouthy by far if he's the best right back england have got then every other english player needs to hold their heads in shame at being so poor - though personally i rate young and johnson as better players

Can someone please explain to me what has happened to Liverpool's Defense? Last season their defense was the strongest part of their game and now? I can't make any sense of it as it is primarily the same back four as it was last season. It is also seems that our goalkeeping problem is back again. Reina had an amazing first season, but now he looks as if he's lost all of his confidence. I hope they get it right soon or they forget about challenging for the league title.

To all you saying rooney is talking nonsense about diving.. because you can only remember the unbeaten run damage by the Red Devils!!! and its winning by 2 clear goals. at least he dare to stand out.. how about henry cheat acting in the worldcup against spain and diving act against portugal?? and many more..

Rooney claims he does Not Dive because he is not a Cheat??

No he stands on players family jewels accidently of course ! , then he uses every cuss word under the sun to the officials and then some everytime a decision goes against him, really nice guy then ??? I think Not !!
Behaves like a spoilt child on the pitch and then wonders why the referee's don't like him, way way overpaid and I think very over rated !! and worst of all he plays for MU. I don't believe he does anything for the image of the game or the England Team and at times his behavour is a liability.

To the person who said chelsea are going to win again this year,are u mistic meg or sumat?? the EPL can be won by anyone, with arsenal gettin back in form, united looking great and liverpool getting better its there to be won by whoever wants it the most.

I think some are such as Ballack,Lampard(well lets make it chelsea-due to Abramovic) Rio
But the majority are not because they dont just play football once a week.. they also have to train watch what they do in public,avoid going out to clubs on match weeks, watch what they eat.. etc.etc.

I am a man utd fan and i would just like to say to peple going on about the scholes rooney bans , give it a rest. players dont get banned for no reason ! rooney needs to control his temper .
and i would also like to say to peeople who believe a team is carried by one player for example when rooney was away man utd won all matches first match he comes back we lose to arsenal. oh and also to arsene wenger just because arsenal beat man utd doesnt make them the best team in the prem and it doesnt mean they have more of a chance of winning it !!!

In reply to the geordie lad who wrote that chelsea bought the title, i would like to say this. In the first instance Chelsea have brought some of the best players from around the world to the premiership. Also in John terry we have one of the best central defenders in the world and he was from the youth academy of Chelsea. I would also like to add that Newcastle are a big club who have always underachieved simply because they cannot attract world class players who only have to look at the current squad to see this and jealousy will get you no where

think if Man U fan werent obsessed with every other team they might be able to be real supporters.cryin bout the money chelsea spendin... havin scholes and rooney out (not that scholes is good now),complainin bout liverpool.... it goes on and on.
if only you could concentrate on your own team, maybe the yanks wouldnt have come, maybe you could have made more signings... just maybe..

I am a Chelsea fan and I agree with the geordie boy who wrote in bout Chelsea buyin the title! 20 years ive been watchin Chelsea football club and we were a more honest british team before Abramovich came!
