Rafael Benitez has vowed to stay and right the wrongs of this season, he will not leave and he will not be sacked as the club cannot afford it so the club are willing to give him at least another year to get back into the champions league and he has been told he will be given a budget of £20million plus sales, there is set to be a mass clearout of the deadwood in attept to raise funds and thankfully we got rid of Voronin and Dossena in January , players leaving are as follows Yossi Benayoun, Albert Riera, Ryan Babel, Fabio Aurelio, Phillipe Degen, Nabil El Zhar, Sotiris Krygiakos, Diego Cavalieri, Charles Itandje, David Martin, Gerardo Bruna, Damien Plessis, Robbie Threlfall, Martin Hansen, Peter Gulasci, Mikel San Jose, Kisztian Nemeth, Andras Simon and Vincent Weijl all set to be shown the exit door , Rafa is getting rid of about 20 and bringing in about 10 looking for a squad of quality over quantity.

any ideas who though???( whats your verdict ed??)

There is only a need for a couple of quality players to be added for next season, there are far too many good kids in need of games to add more.}

Wow, I wasnt expecting so many Arsenal rumours.. Many are nonsense and can be addressed with a touch of what I call common sense.

For a start, why are people suggesting a complete overhaul for the squad when Wenger has shown many times before that he prefers stability within his squad. He was reluctant to chop and change too much when we were fghting for fourth, so its highly unlikely that hes going to give the same team a makeover now that they are finally challenging again.

GK: Wenger is far more likely to keep faith in the ones he has. Almunia is decent, and on the odd day I wold go as far as to say hes world class.. that's only every so often though. Manonne is number one for me.

DF: Sagna and Eboué, Clichy and Gibbs/Traoré, we simply have the best full backs in the league. As for the centre pairing, this is just my opinion, but I feel both Sol and Gallas will stay. This season weve seen the best of Gallas, and Sol has given everyone a shock. As for new comers, Vermalens arrival means an end to all previous speculations (i.e. Zapata, Sakho etc). The future partnership is Djourou and Vermaelen however. Because of Djourous injuries this season, next season expect to see either Sol or Gallas partner Vermaelen, with the other partnering Djourou in the domestic cups. And with one eye on the future, expect maybe Stefan Savic (19) to come in as Nordveits (19) long term partner behind Vermaelen and Djourou after the departure of Gallas and Sol (1 or 2 years).

MF: Song has made a claim for the holding midfielder of the season, next year he will be up there with Essien if he already isn't there now! Song, Diaby, Cesc, Nasri, Arshavin.. there is no better starting midfield in the prem! With Rosicky, Denilson, Walcott, Ramsey and Wilshere as cover, we shouldnt expect anymore signings. Ramsey will be in and out of the team with injuries and theres no news on Meridas new contract, so Wilshere will definitely play a bigger role. And with the way Jay Emmanual Thomas has been banging them in for Doncaster lately, theres a chance he could be training with the first team next season. Either way, new signings in midfield are highly unlikely.

FWD: From Wengers point of view.. RVP will be back, Bendtner will have had plenty of practise by next season (and will hopefully be a little more clinical), Dudu will be closer to his devastingingly prolific first season form, Vela will play in domestic cups and theres a chance Chamakh will sign for free. Five plyers for one positions.. luckily theyre versatile!

So to summarise:
No keepers
No (first team) defenders
No midfielders
One free striker, Chamakh.
