Crystal palace and Southampton are still very interested in signing Albert Adomah, for Southampton it depends on an offer for Nathan Redmond. A fee of 5m has been muted and Middlesbrough have looked to reinforce before they accept any offer.
Middlesbrough will be adding at least two more additions to the squad tomorrow, in time for the Villareal game.
Saville on a permanent deal and Bamford on a season long loan deal.
Middlesbrough have made some head way in the Jelle Vossen deal, it looks like the extra cash saved on Husband with Main (200 k) going the other way has been added to the previous bid and Genk are pretty much happy to accept it as it will be in the lump sum upfront. Looks like a 4m package in total with goal, game and promotion bonuses part of it.
A friend of a business colleague is dealing with Real Betis on their visit to England and has been chatting in Spain with juanfran, he was made aware of the signings Boro were planning to finalise before the season opener and said he loved what he heard and the facilities but his family is his main concern in England, even though it has been said he still could join Boro he won't be. He is hoping for a top flight club in Spain.
he went on to say that Boro's top transfer targets were Kike, omerou and Vossen, they were the players Karanka wanted to lead the club's promotion charge next season and Karanka has hoped Juanfran would help them with it.
Just Vossen to finalise on that front.
I'm sure someone has said it on here previously but a right back. deal with a top European club is also nearly sorted.
Still no idea on that one, the club seem tight lipped.

Thanks JackLewis2014- just wondering but how sure are you about Jelle Vossen and Genk pretty much happy to accept a Boro offer? I thought Feyenoord were nearly done with a deal? Also good to hear about the new signings for tomorrow and £5 million for Adomah could be wisely invested in more players!

Middlesbrough want rid of adohma, Steele & kamara to make way for bamford and baker on loan, looking to buy saville, and bring in another RB from Spain. Was at Hartlepool friendly last night chatting to higgnet. Adohmas got a bad attitude, steeles wages are more than dimmis and mejias combined and kamara is not in aks plans.

We would be mad to get rid of Albert if he does go it will be for mega bucks and Karanka said he wants two players at every position so Nsue is fighting Adomah for RW plus he can play on the left whilst Muzzy is out but can't wait for Vossen and another two strikers would be class

So 3 loan signings from Chelsea.
Omerou, Bamford and Saville.
Husband from Donny to give Friend some competition and still a right back and forward to come in.
I'm delighted about Saville, Wigan were desperate to have him as Rosler had him at Brentford last season before taking over at Wigan and thinks he is Chelsea's best youth prospect, so he can't be too bad.
If we do actually pull all of this off we will be a strong force next season.
Sources in the club will not give up on the Vossen deal but Main and Kamara have to go first. Huddersfield and Wolves are interested in Kamara but are looking for a cheap deal, the money from the Main transfer is very minimal apparently.
A right back is apparently just about done but Boro are keeping it well under wraps until the deal is done.

Apart from omeruo and possibly kike, our signings so far will not get us promoted. We need some decent strikers, some hard midfielders who win and distribute the ball and a proper right back. agree with Jack Lewis I reckon Vossen is very much on, they are looking at a Midfielder who is an u21 international according to the Gazette, reckon they will get Bamford hopefully Atsu if we got those three and a RB we would be a serious Championship contender, but like Jack says we need to get rid of a few fringe players to allow these deals to go through, I reckon Haliday will go out on loan now we have husband, Reach, may stay but if we get Atsu in he may as well go on loan and I think maybe Whitehead Hines and Burgess will all go out Burgess on loan, the big ones going out could be Steele & Leadbitter but for big money, good times ahead hopefully UTB

Gary Mackay Stevens is back on Huddersfield Towns radar as Dundee Utd are believed to be considering a bid of around 600k from Rotherham and this is likely to be very close to the fee they are looking for. Town had major interest at around the figure previously and are likely to jump in to the race if the offer or a little bit more is accepted for him. Sorry but danny graham got a goal every other game, set up other players, provided an actual focus point for our attacks. Even the players have said they want him back. How extactly is that terrible? More importantly he's not a big risk. £3m less than an overated belgean who'll jump ship, ie rav, merson, first chance he gets. We need championship players. We're a championship club with no money. The whole Vossen saga is getting pulled about in all different directions. You'll only get the truth out of it when there is a confirmation that he has signed for a club (Whoever that may be), so there is no point speculating.

The deal to get James Husband from Doncaster is set to be sealed tonight (According to Paul Dikov). Curtis Main to Doncaster is completely different and has no effect on the James Husband deal.

Patrick Bamford is being linked with Boro but ill believe it when I see it as he was supposed to come to Boro last season and he ended up at Derby.

Northern paper says that deals possibly could be wrapped up for a Right Back, Creative Midfielder and 1 more Striker before the end of this week. Presumably one of these could be bamford.

You talk about being broke yet Gibson is pretty much willing to give Aitor a fair bit of pocket money to spend.

There is definitely a large slice of finance left for another top striker and RB. Plus 3-4 loanees from our pals down South. Obviously Omerou and Husband will be joining this week and Gibson/Bausor are hopeful of a RB and striker before Saturday.

JRM

The one player from Chelsea we should be looking to sign is Lewis Baker, he's an outstanding young attacking midfielder!

Good news that kamara is on way out. He ran around a lot but showed a first touch similar to Brian Deane and he's about a potent in the box as Elton John.

With Main and Kamara being allowed to leave looks like AK will bring in Bamford plus one other striker. Just a shame it's looking like it won't be Vossen.

We will have made a big mistake if we don't get another good striker, say if vossen doesn't come here which he probably won't then spend that money on someone else man there's not only 1 striker there's loads for same price who are good, we'll have made a mistake selling juke cause he would have teamed up well with like if we play 4-2-4 for once if we end up with graham that's not good enough he's simply has no quality why do you think hull and Sunderland aren't bothered when he was here he missed sitters!

Genk striker Jelle Vossen has not been included in their squad to face KV Mechelen and, although the official reason is that he has a slight injury, reports in Belgium suggest that it is almost certainly because he is on the verge of a transfer. Just to clarify the supposed Feyenoord interest, since December 2011 Feyenoord have been under tight financial controls and have only paid for two players. One for £250k and the other for £800k. tommy40996

By their own admission Feyenoord have a big list of strikers they are considering. The manager has said they would welcome John Guidetti back who hit 20 goals for them in 23 whilst on loan from Man City and is rumoured to be available for less than £1M as he is not going to make it in the Premiership. If Bamford comes in, Main and Williams might as well go now because they will not get in front of him. Replacing Juke and Emnes with Kike still leaves a place for a top notch striker and I am still hoping it is Vossen. Probably far to unrealistic, but what a strike force those three could make. Time will tell.

Personally i'd love to have Bamford in. Showed us want he can do in the championship at derby okay mabye he wasn't consistent enough but most of the time he did the job I'd happily have him at boro

The approach for Husband is interesting. Not only does it show we have some money to speculate on the future but it also suggests that we already know how much we will have left when the big deals are done. Does this mean they are all nearing completion!

John 388 I think your being abit hasty if mourinho is recommending the lad he must show talent he's done well on loan other spells and with the speed and creativity out wide given half a chance he could very well I think you have to be realistic by the way we played afew games with 10 men last season and didn't come off very well did we

Bamford did get eight in the second half of last season. That's not a bad record for our sub striker

Middlesbrough looking to sign Patrick Bamford and Lewis Baker on loan from Chelsea this week. Boro are also trying to get Carl Jenkinson on loan from Arsenal but there is also interest from the Premiership.

Why does everyone want bamford!
We need proven strikers who won't just get shoved off the ball.

AS he is good and is proven by derby form end of last season so good second striker only cover anyway. Best we will get unless of cause Vossen who will fire us to promotion.

As well as the double signing of the Costa Rica world cup stars Gamboa and Tejeda Albion are about the announce the senational signing of Adebayor and Jordan Ayew.

The costa rican part is true but as far as the other two go it is definitely a no go. Adebayor is on crazy money which Albion will not cough up which is fair enough and he still has the chance to compete in the Tottenham team and finish within the top ten. As far as Ayew goes, I can't see them bringing him in either due to his playing style being to similar to Berahino. Albion need to bring in a experienced proven Prem striker, a bit like Adebayor but a more affordable Adebayor.

Great piece of business, bags of potential. Don't worry George Friend isn't going anywhere before people start debating, although Andy Halliday is likely to leave.

Interesting to see we have offered Curtis Main to Doncaster for a good rate. Clearing the attacking ranks ready for two fresh faces upfront.

I agree I feel unless we have another striker we should not get rid of main as what will happen if kike gets injured first game and we have to play kamara or fewster as they will be the only ones left.

Smallwood is good enough for the championship, I rate him over whitehead tbh, he isn't as good as leadbitter or butterfield but he is still a tallent, also luke williams and curtis main aren't good enough in their positions, they are not strikers, they can't score in this leauge like a striker should, but they are fast, strong and know how to play a pass, they would be good in tomlins role or williams left wing and main right wing, but let's get off them 3, I think husband is a great singing, aswell as omerou mejias and kike they are all brilliant additions to the squad, if we haft to wait a long time for players of that calliber, then I will deffinatly be patient, UTB

Curtis Main is not good enough. He is 22 now, not a kid, and should be showing much more than he did last season. Lots of effort but no result, 6 goals in 45 games. time to be moved on.
