Ok let's set something straight. The Glazer family is successful in business. They purchased United to maximize revenue, develop the club's marketing, and to ensure United's status as the number one club, commercially and in terms of trophies, in the world. They have the world's most marketable player and a sponsorship deal with the largest sports manufacturer in the world, who also sponsors the player in question. With all this in mind, why the HELL would the Glazers sell Ronaldo? He will move in a year or two, but in the meantime they are maximizing what they will get out of him in terms of goals, trophies, shirt sales, advertising, etc. They are throwing down a dictum to the players and clubs around Europe that United will not be messed about with. It's strong, aggressive business. The club debts are not an issue but if they had to sell something to pay off the debt, they would probably sell the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL). Manyoo have a better upside. Lastly, I laugh at all the players Liverpool are apparently buying and selling. Sad part is, Benitez is only selling the rubbish players he overpaid for two or three years ago, and he will probably buy as many rubbish players again. Ha. To the deluded RS (Liverpool) fan who seems to think that David Villa is desperate to sign for his second–rate RS team. Get a grip, lad. Villa only said he was not interested in the money to sound good. You watch Chelsea or FC Barcelona offer him double the wages your crumby lot could offer and then see him suddenly develop a longing to play football in either of those cities. When are morons like you bitter reds going to wake up and smell the coffee? The Reds have become the laughing stock of English football (behind the Newcastle). No player that attracts attention from the best in Europe would go and play for a team without money, who play in a rubbish stadium and are yesterdays news. Get used to it lad, you're now seen as joke across Europe and I fully expect you to finish below fourth spot next season. Oh yeah, but you have still got that world–beater Barry set to join. Hahaha. BAD NEWS FOR HEARTS FANS
Vlad is now trying to get the cheapest manager he can get his hands on, that will do as he is told, no a chance of Hearts winning anything while he remains in charge, he is only selling the clubs silver, before shutting the place down, to build a hotel in gorgie, this man has no heart, for heart of midlothian, get the fans together, get rid of this so called white Knight,. all he needs now is a swag bag. no wonder Dundee United told him to get lost. I would rather HEARTS were owned by a plumber than a BUMMER. GWD Right, to the people who are saying Liverpool will BID for Quaresma, HE has already stated he has signed for a top European club, fair enough it MAY be Liverpool, but it could ALSO be Chelsea (highly unlikely due to absence of a manager), Madrid, Inter etc. etc., i.e all the teams he has been linked with. However, do you think Rafa would sign Milner or Bently and Quaresma. Perhaps this is just a smoke screen.
On the David Villa rumours:
Someone said that he was the player who speaks good English but is not English, who Rafa was refering to. ARE you HAVING A LAUGH, get your facts straight. Villa STATED HIMSELF that Alonso and Reina had to get the HAT TRICK MATCH BALL off the referee because THEY COULD SPEAK ENGLISH (THEREFORE, Villa does not speak English, or at least very well)
A certain interview with Cesc Fabregas about David Villa which can be viewed by ye all with regard to Villa playing in England see's a very cool and calm Fabregas talking about Villa's Euro 2008 form and then very ackwardly gets out of there when pressed about Villa, IT SEEMS TO ME HE KNOWS SOMETHING, just watch how the interview dramatically changes
I would not be surprised to see him sign for somebody (as a Liverpool fan I hope these rumours are true)
A certain leading Spanish correspondent reckons/knows Rafa is planning a big named surprise signing so
Dossena:
There is a lot of talk that this deal may not go through, for those saying it is a done deal WHY is his name not under players in on ANY football website for Liverpool, I know he is on his honeymoon but surely if he did a medical he could have easily have signed too. DONT be surprised if Rafa is holding out for a certain Wayne Bridge
Lastly, there is no need to diss another team just because you do not follow them.
THIS SITE is for rumours not for people trying to get one over on another team (P. S the Everton fan singing the praises and dissing Liverpool), you finished just as far behind Liverpool as Liverpool did to United so we are no more unsafe as United. So leave it out and just report stuff for your own team "Plus, it well known that the budget this Summer is £15 million + money raised from transfers"
nobody has a clue how much money Rafa has you biased blue nose twat
"in his bid to topple Liverpool from their very vulnerablefourth spot"
i do not know whether you noticed but the gap between the top 4 and the others was bigger than it has ever been this year. Liverpool Arsenal Man United and Chelsea will all move further away
"Lukas Podolski will be one of the 4 big arrivals at Manchester City this Summer. The German DEFENDER"
you my friend have just proved your talking out your arse. lets have something relatively legitimate please.
i believe Liverpool have a lot more money than suggested and that Rafa is only playing the "sell to buy" card in order to get rid of dead–wood. I personally expect two very good signings. there are lots of possible reasons why Villa might join Liverpool, mainly the spaniards within the team, obviously Torres being the most important.
Valencia do not want to lose Villa to another Spanish club. this leaves Italy or englnad, nobody wants him in Italy. he does not want Man United and will wants champs football. he would not go to Chelsea the Liverpool players will have put him off. Liverpool seems his most likely destination IF anywhere
"this is complete rubbish as young on his own is worth £20 mill"
Aston Villa player valuations are absolutely rubbish. young has done nothing to deserve a price tag so high. he is an above average player, but has yet to prove himself against any of the big four, in Europe, or at international. £20 million buys you the likes of Torres, a 30+ goal a season man with international pedigree.
"Chances of him playing in scouse–land are non–existant"
no there not, he has said he would be interested you tool
"Rafas targets
lilian thuram (free"
that is ridiculous, Liverpool already have 4 central defenders. no central defenders will be signed except maybe some young ones for reserves/future, besides thuram has proved he's past it in euro 2008
"According to Guillem Balague, who seems to know a lot about Liverpool's dealings in the transfer market, as fellow Liverpool fans know. Liverpool will sign a desequilibrante player. this means skilful and can produce something magic. I have on good authority that this IS David Villa"
Guillem Balague is usually correct. he has stated Rafa has a surprise, gotta be a top class player and he has also said it is not Quaresma. could be villa, nothing is confirmed
"#1 Left Back Target Wayne Bridge"
well that is not true because dossena was the number 1 left back in Serie A this season and would be first choice for Italy at euro 2008 were he not injured. dossena could be a great buy
expect most of what you ahve heard about Lfc to be smokescreen to cover up the true targets. like eto'o etc. last year when Torres and Babel were the main targets for the duration of the period
Quaresma will not go to Chelsea, him and scolari do not get on, END OF. why else would he start Nani and Simao ahead of him for portugal?
gareth barry, in and out the England team, no experience of European club football £20 million?
Peter Crouch, experienced forward in Europe and in and out of England team £8 million? surely something is not right here with valuations in the PL at present
if gareth barry REALLY wants to go to Liverpool he should say to MON "i want to go, do not price me out of a deal, do not leave me to waste for a year let me go" £15 million and he's gone, sorted.
Jermaine Pennant (on SSN today) has said he's going nowhere this Summer.
"but has anyone noticed the way David Villa runs to Torres with his celebrations"
yes I have noticed, he also runs over to reina. also reina and Alonso helped Villa get his match ball after the hat trick against russia, this was publiches on LiverpooLfc. tv, a story they would never normally include
this is everything I know at the moment. you will see that is all factual. To the Everton fan who seems to think David Villa will not join Liverpool because he will go where the money is. Obviously you do not know much about football in general let alone in Liverpool, as Villa himself has said that he will not go where the money is as he would like to be happy where he is playing and material things will not make him happy.
I for one do not know where he will be going, but if you think about it, how many Spanish players do Chelsea have? None, as far as I know. And most foreign players coming over here do like a fellow countryman to help them settle in.
This leads me to believe that Torres, Reina and Alonso would help him to settle and also try to persuade him to join us. It looks to me, if G&H are willing to put the money up, that it is LFC, FC Barcelona and Real in the hunt, although he also previously stated (months ago) he could not see himself playing against Valencia.
I do not know this info for fact, just going on common sense from what has come from the players mouth.
Also why would you believe Everton have £30 million to spend? What have they achieved and what sort of TV income are they going to be relying on in the future? The EuFa Cup? Another Bitter Blue.
Lastly, all those people posting on here pretending to be foreigners knowing some rumours from "Their Own Country". Most people who live away from the UK can speak better English than most of our own country, so please give it a rest. To the dilusional scouse who beleives they are going to land Wesley Sneijder for 8 Mill? Please do wake up. he cost real nearly £28 million last Summer and I assume after his magnificent displays at the Euros, will not leave Real for less than 40 million per se AVfc to break top 4 next season? : Methinks your head is so far up your tight anu5 sonny, your tiny brain must be scrambled, when will you illiterate Villa fans
start to realise that while your team is under the management of Oh'Neil, they are just another mediocre team making up the numbers in a league that is only going to be won by one of the top four, and the villha certainly do not come into this category, therefore your small club will only be there to make up the numbers until their relegation time comes and then they will revert to their correct position in the English football establishment.
F. W. P. W. A. T. P. Got to love the fact that someone wants to stop hearing "ridiculous" old firm rumours (admittedly some of the rumours posted on this site are far fetched but then these two teams are the only two apart from the big 4 that virtually guarantees Champions League football in Britain) considering this person's big news was two people close to nike are signing for villa, some other posters are just as apt at proving that the imagination of the brittish public is still going strong E. g. the rumours that Bentley would go to Aston Villa, Everton or Tottenham etc, while he has clearly stated he wants to leave Blackburn he also made it clear he wants to play Champions League football, heard a rumour that Boruc would go to Villa Park to link up with his old gaffer that made me laugh considering it was Gordon Strachan that signed him for Celtic not Martin O'Neill. One last ridiculous posting that Arsenal were looking to Makoun when he actually just singed for 7 time French champions Lyon two days ago. Rant over From Guillem Balague's own site:
Regarding David Villa:
". I will give you my prediction: David Villa IS not GOING TO LIVERPOOL. There has been interest from Juve, Inter, Real Madrid, Tottenham and FC Barcelona and I have the impression he will end up going to one of those teams. Pep Guardiola is dreaming of playing Mario Gomez and David Villa together, but that is far from a reality yet. "
Regarding Ricardo Queresma:
"Well, as I said at the time, this is the kind of player that I would love to see Liverpool sign and I feel they could really do with. However, this is not the kind of signing that Rafa usually makes and I do not think he will change his mind this Summer. I do not think he doubts Quaresma's abilities on the pitch, even though the player can be inconsistent.
If anybody on this site is more informed about football in the southern Mediterranean then I suggest you start your own website and get a job on Sky Sports.
LFC Dear DF, you massive person.
were you on drugs when you stated this rumour "Young and Agbonlahor – £8 million+ Hoyte"?
Young was bought for £8 million and has improved tenfold so try at least £13 million and Gabby is worth at least £10 million (remember, this kid only scores against the 'so called big 4 teams')
And to that Rangers fan who refers to the Villa as the 'Vile', grow up you bitter jebend. are you married to a brum fan per chance? is this the reason for the bitterness?
AVfc to break top 4 next season
Celtic to win the Scottish Premier League again. Blah, blah Barry, blah blah, Ronaldinho, blah blah, Villa. Need I go on? Most of these are not rumours I see on here, it is things people have seen on sky sports news or read in any newspaper in the shops. I am a die hard Toffee, and have been since 1984 (thank god we won the Fa Cup that year and not Watford) and in the last five years I have seen our club make steady progress. Now it seems whenever Moyes spots some talent and bids a decent amount of cash, one of the big spenders up the offer E. g Jo who was sounded out for £14 million but is now on the verge of a £20 million mobe to City. Where did that extra six million come from? It's time for fifa to impose a wage cap. The Rich teams just offer more money and get their man. It's just not on Players are choosing wages over European football, that is how crazy it is. I am not too worried who we sign. After all we held onto fifth last season without Arteta and Cahill, and A. j cannot have two bad seasons in a row. can he? I do not think so. Of course I would love to see Arshavin on the left (maybe even that turan guy from turkey), but apart from that, I cannot think of anyone else, maybe a right back to challenge Hibbert. As for people who say Everton are not a big club, each to their own, but most of those saying it have been looking up the table at us, so jog on fools. Hmmmmmmm, no rumours, just a bit of a rant. Come on managers do not reject this. please? taken ages to write. Ems To the bloke who said STOKE CITY were forming an alliance with Australias A league, I really hope not as this is a poor standard football league. And beleive me Archie Thompson couldn,t get a game for PORT VALE he is the most over rated over hyped player in Australia. He is useless. There are some promising young players but no where near Championship level yet let alone Premier League. fact. A league is bottom half League One standard at best Has there been an news on Celtic buying lately.
Rangers seem to be buying early fs.
hopefully few big names come to parlhead this year Liverpool will not sign Nasri or Van Der Vaart. that is stupid. Rafa will spend how ever much Villa quote for barry. Gerrard only wants to play with barry, they play so well in the England set up. barry is a more holding midfielder, like Mascherano. but Gerrard prefers playing with barry as they have an understanding. just see barrys through ball in Englands last match. barry –> Liverpool for £20 million. no more, probably not much less. Villa will have Liverpool ransom. To the geordie fan that posted Newcastle are better then Everton because they dominate the north east, what kind of arguement is that, Liverpool compared to Sunderland and Middlesbrough mmmmmmmmm and do not forget that there is 2 Manchester teams that are not far away form Merseyside For many years I have been a football fan. but I am always appalled at the amount of handling and grabbing of shirts etc. there is between players. Are they playing football? At times it seems more like wrestling. WHY should it be necessary to put your hands on an opposing player? WHY should you need to grab an opposing player's shirt and push or put your arms around him and restrict him? Surely all these things which have bee amply evident in the European Cup Matches are FAULS In my opinion putting your hands on the opposing player should merit a yellow card and shirt grabbing should merit a red card and sending off. I would be interested to know of other fans opinions on this. You Liverpool supporters make me laugh, even if there is a first option on Nasri what makes you think the player would want to move to you. talk about arrogance.
Tricky Dicky Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has been telling Cristiano Ronaldo to move to Real Madrid. Is this because he does not fancy playing against him in the Premier League?. I think so.
With the departure of Ronaldo looming, the same old saga of Beckham and Van Nistlerooy, it sounds all so familiar. Well as we have proved so many times Man United is not a one man show…… So what is next, who will we get and how much is he worth is on everyone minds.
On offer at Real Madrid, we have a bit of R' n R'. Ramos and Robinho. Ramos would be a real buy, a replacement for the wheelchair bound Neville, who has served United well, but time to move over and let the next generation to take over.
Robinho, as much as he had a good season, he last few have not been up to standard and for scoring the 25–40 goal gap left by Ronaldo, I doubt it ……. However if we were to get a forward to get the ball in the back of the next like Karim Benzema or Klaas Jan Huntelaar or if they can pull of the coup of the century, Sergio Aguero. It's time again for the Glazers to cough up again. It seems that clubs outside the top four believe that they will be able to sign top players from abroad which seem totally ridiculous. To be honest I do not believe that teams like Newcastle, Everton would be able promise top players from abroad to sign for their club when realistically they will be unable to progress from last season to finish above the top 4 or win any trophys. So please leave some realistic propsals up otherwise there is not point of this site.
P. D. B Will the deluded Geordie who saw Arteta hopping off a plane at Newcastle, visit a optician and then have a lie down. you are suffering from a condition called wishful thinking,If Arteta ever leaves Everton it will be to retun to Spain not to a place where time forgot to play for a manager who is well past his sell by date. Newcastle Arteta, Arteta Newcastle,
Do not know anyone who works for Everton, or Jim the kit man, although did used to get taught P. E. by a certain Mr. Neil Dewsnip, now head of youth development at Everton, although he certainly will not know Jack, and even if he did it would be more than his job.
We perhaps only need a midfield general to replace Lee Carsley, however preferrably not too defense minded and two versatile creative midfielders who ideally be able to operate wide and centrally, to stop playing Neville in midfield, he can only pass sideways or back.
Everton Transfer rumours from various Everton supporter sites/Rumourspapers, I have put next to player what part they may play next season for us.
Joe Ledley – Squad player
Wayne Hennessey – Squad Player, cover for Howard
Lorik Cana – potentially Lee Carsleys replacement
Michael Bradley – not seen enough
Michael Johnson – cannot see City letting this guy go.
Klaas Jan Huntelaar – cannot see this one to be honest
James Milner – Newcastle do not want him apparently
Arda Turan – plays anywhere in midfield, even wide
Maik Taylor – squad palyer, cover for Howard
João Alves de Assis Silva – we cannot afford this guy
Alou Diarra – another Lee Carsley replacement
Zoltan Gera – squad player, to play after euro tie
Joaquín Sanchez Rodríguez – creative wide man
Mark Beevers – squad player
Modeste M'Bami – Lee Carsley replica apparently
obviously we would not be able to sign all of these palyers, however at this point I beleive it all to be press constructed rumours to create sales rather than expose true stories, apart from perhaps the Ramsey link which has been confirmed by several sources as bid tabled and accepted.
Everton will definitely buy this Summer however Moyes has had his hands burnt mentioning transfer targets in the past, I do not believe he would make the same mistake again. I hope we get our Lee Carsley grock sorted out, and then bulk up the midfield, with hard workers who can create and I will be more than happy.
Newcastle Arteta 10 million, you paid £5 million for Titus Bramble aged 20 in 2002. if we accepted a bid in the region of £10 million think how many teams would be put on alert. yeah bigger and better teams able to offer European football as opposed to hugs and kisses in the cold from old fat tatooed Curry stained Newcastle replica jersey wearing groin cakes. – Leicester City – –
Former Walsall gaffer Richard Money will be appointed as manager by next week. He has already been lining up a swoop for Cardiff forward Robbie Fowler, apparently Fowler is very interested in signing for The Foxes but they are negotiating a pay deal similar to what he has at the moment.
Also Leicester are ready to release a new away strip for next season, it will be an all green strip, similar to the irish kit.
I know all this as my Uncle is a coach at Leicester.
Neil Stanley GRETNA THE END
So the story ends, many people think it should never have began, the wee local English team playing in the SPL,WITH A FAN BASE OF 500. WHAT A JOKE,but not as bad as the BLAIZERS In HIGH OFFICE,that allowed them to represent Scottish football in the EUFA Cup,only to be thumped by another little team DERRY CITY. All you trippers who think Ribery is leaving Munich are a bunch of crackpots.
He's just come off a stella season with the Bavarian giants and possibly will recieve the captaincy.
Luca Toni is not going no where the Champions League is too tantalising to give up and his partnership with Klose is the best in Europe. Dream on.
If anything Bayern will put a bid in for the unhappy Shevchenko but that seems too far fetched for now. Although Bayern have been eyeing him for two seasons now and need back up for Klose Toni and Podolski in the 4 cups they are trying to win.
German League
Champions League
German Cup
German Super Cup
See what happens.
Van Bommel is likely to come to the EPL or a move back home to the Dutch league.
EPL Clubs interested are Aston Villa
the Hammers
Newcastle
Tottenham
Lahm juust signed a massive deal with Bayern so will also not go anywhere. Bayern would be people to sell one of Europes top defenders who is reaching his peak for the circa £12 million you all are suggesting.
Besides Klinsmann loves his German national players.
Hence the purchase of Borowski.
Gattuso may come to Bayern if Klinsmann really wants him he would crush any poverty stricken Rangers bid.
Bayern player who ARE likely to come to the EPL include DemiChelsealis possibly Newcastle, Lucio maybe to Arsenal or FC Barcelona for approx £9 million. Sangol has a good chance of being picked up by Man United but also maybe Arsenal as Wenger loves him. Bayern are restructuring thier defense for the Champions league which makes sense if you loves to fricken Zenit in the UEFA Cup.
Podolski is rumored for a move back Cologne but this is highly unlikely. If he is going anywhere it's to Manchester City on loan but that is not going to eventuate either considering the Champions League German League German Cup etc. all Which Klinsmann wants. Toni and Klose cannot doit alone.
Bayern will spend money Klinsmann is no a tight arse and will want a top class team to take the Champions League.
Materrazi is an option but nothing serious yet.
Alex is likely.
But wait up everyone Big Transfers will happen AFTER the Euro.
