This is pathetic, I am a Wolves fan and when I see Wolves rumours my eyes light up, then when I see that 15 players are being brought and 15 players are being sold I turn off my computer in disgust. C'mon lads lets be realistic.

Regarding the dhim plastic paddie from the the north west of Engurland stupid comments regarding the Old Firm Game.
1. K. Thomson did not cheat, ifso he would have been cautioned, END OF.
2. Anti football? 6 points clear and still in all competitions, W. S. has bonded a team that plays to it is strengths, END OF.
3. For someone who only watches the occasional Old Firm game and NO other SPL. games you sure have a great knowledge about the pash players who try to perform for the Tic, Stupid plastic or what?
4. You hope Sporting gub Rangers, well I suppose you are just like the majority of plastic paddies,so,who really cares, certainly not us Rangers supporters, for we know and I suspect you know, WE ARE THE PEOPLE.
END OF.

The young 13 year old lad who has been tipped to go represent great britain at the olympics had best watch out. looks like Kevin Thomson of Rangers may be out to steal his thunder. when there has been recent outrage at the amount of players being punished by Uefa for blatant cheating,i will be amazed if this is not followed up. i do not watch much Scottish football, but like most I like to see the old firm scrap it out,but diving and throwing your body that extra few yards into the penalty box to con the referee just plain stinks bad. with no allegiance to either side whatsoever I usually could not care less who wins, but after that and just the whole anti football approach from what was supposed to be the home club I hope sporting lisbon thump them in the UeFa Cup this week. that would pretty much balance things for me there. as for Celtic. how bad have some of wgs signings been? i really believe (and this is the thoughts of most people I know in the north west of England) that he is only still there because he is a yes man who is quite happy to get by on signing who he is told to sign. no one can tell me that a scout actually went and watched the likes of sno, donatti, killen, jvh, naylor, caldwell etc. and thought "they can play". time to get your act together before the rest of the world switch off. do not forget, people do not really get up in the small hours on the other side of the world to watch the 2 biggest teams in Scotland take on Falkirk or Kilmarnock etc,so when you play each other at least put on a show

David Moyes – Pound for Pound the Best manager in the Prem–
Moyes, O'Neill, Wenger, Hughes and Ferguson are the top five managers in the Prem. Redknapp and Rafa are also two good managers but are not consistent enough to break into the top five as of yet.
Wenger is the master of unearthing talent from unknown places like the Ivory Coast and certain parts of France, and gelling them together quickly with the rest of the squad and producing silky stylish football which most clubs only dream of, yet sometimes lack a Plan B.
O'Neill has worked with one of the best managers ever in Brian Clough, and it's obvious he learnt a lot. He evolves with the times. At Celtic and Leicester he managed to get more out of the players at his disposal than anyone thought was possible. His sides are always well organised, well disciplined, hard to beat and a threat going forward. At Villa he has made astute signings in Reo–Coker, Young and Carew, and improved the likes of Barry and Abganlhor dramatically. He has made Villa a real threat to the top four without spending heavily and has brought consistency to a club which usually struggle to find it.
Hughes did a terrific job with Wales, you can see how good a job he did when you look at the current Wales side under Toshack. At Ewood Park he has managed to bring in players on a shoe–string who can compete at the highest level in the Prem, Santa Cruz, Bentley, Warnock, Nelson, Gamst Pedersen and McCarthy all were signed for less than £5 million each, and are all able to play at the highest level. Hughes has managed lift the club to the top half of the table and will be challenging for Europe on a regular basis in the future.
Not much needs to be said about Ferguson, the most successful Premier League manager ever. He has created side after side at Old Trafford with success with each of them, incorporating youth players with foreign imports and gaining silverware consistently. The likes of Ronaldo, Cantona, Rooney, Keane, Bruce, Giggs all owe the old man a lot. The scary thing for his rivals is he are not finished yet.
And finally Moyes. At Preston he created a hard–working successful side with hardly any money spent at all. Got very close to the Premier League, but in the end was a step to far. Kenwright brought him to Everton to transform the club, and so far, that is exactly what he has done. He has the knack of spotting players from the lower leagues and giving them the platform and confidence to succeed. The likes of LeScott, Cahill, Jageilka, Johnson all came to Goodison with questions marks over the real quality of them but have proved to be top Premiership players. Add to that Arteta, Yakubu, Yobo and Howard the spine of the team and the depth of the squad is very impressive. Arteta and Cahill could easily be sold in today's market for triple what he paid for them. The future is bright for the blue half of Merseyside. The question is whether or not the likes of Chelsea and Man United will risk giving the reigns of there clubs to someone like Moyes, I for one really hope so.

To the dhim posting on the rumours board regarding David Moyes returning to his boyhood hero's, Fact. David Moyes was a Rangers fan when he was a young boy,
(do you know our history) snigger.
Wee Arra People.

Sorry, but what is kimerikas?

The only thing England supplies to the PL are the venues and the names of the teams. Denmark has a terrible league yet have won a EC the same can be said of Greece. Croatia France Italy Holland Spain and Portugal are all FAR better than our national team. The foriegners and SKY have made the PL what it is today. Corruption and the Catholic mentality stopped Italy from having this investment, nobody TRUSTS the Italians they atre CHEATS in football and corrupt in life. Anyway we have even opted for a foriegn Manager that is how desperate we have become. we do not produce CLASS managers and ALL bar a handfull of the class players in our PL are FORIEGN. If SKY move abroad in say 10yrs or 50yrs to a BIGGER market then the EPL will dwindle the players will MOVE to where the MONEY is and all that ENGLAND will be left with are the Venues and the names of the teams.

Ok, Net spend is not what the cost of what a team spends on players, it's what they spend (eg, £10 million) minus what they sell (8 million), which means that teams net spend would be £2 million. You understand now Chapperz. So Arsenal might of bought in Eduardo and Sagna but they sold Henry for £15 million to Barcelona. So I think it's fair to say I do not need to worry about what I say, one needs to look at themselves first. Oh, and it was an Interview by David Dein which pointed the fact out to me on Wengers net spend. Thanks, Rob

In response to ''Rob–'W. N. W's''
I tend to agree as an Arsenal fan, that we will not be spending 100 million in Summer. however, 5–6 million average spend? Thats just as much fantasy as the other ruours. Last Summer saw £8 million (ish) on Eduardo on his own + Sagna at £6 million. The Summer before Rosicky at £8 million, Adebeyor for £7 million, Denilson £3 million and Diaby £2 million. 2005 was Hleb rumoured at £10 million, Reyes at £10.5 million + optional £7 million depending on appearances/goals etc. (which did not happen) and Van Persie at £4 million. 2004 saw the entry of Gilberto and Cygan for £8 million between them. 2003 Summer was £15 million on Toure, R. Wright and V. Bronkhurst. 2002 was £33 million on Wiltord (13 million) Pires (6 million) Edu (6 million) F. Jeffers (8 million) So as you can see. We have spent a lot more than £5–6 million a year (and they do not include fringe players or January deals such as Theo at a total of £12 million after extras) If your going to tell people to stop talking rubbish. Make sure you get your facts right.
–Chapperz–

After the draw for the Champions League Quarter Finals stage, Txiki Beguiristain, the current director of football for FC Barcelona was asked which league was the strongest in Europe, he replied 'the English league'. I think he knows more about football than the vast majority of people who write stuff on here. To the fella who wrote 'Bolton beat Athletico–WHO' on here before, well A. Madrid are currentlyfourth in La Liga, they have one of the best players in the world in Kun Aguero (signed for £15 million), they also added to there squad in the Summer–Simao (£13 million), Forlan (£15 million), + Reyes and L. Garcia. So yes, that Athletico. One of the reason the Premiership have SO many foreigners
IS because of the money, it's the highest payed league in the world, that is because the EPL sell it's TV rights
over the world for more money than any other league, due to it's quality and excitement. The other main reason for the foreigners rushing to play in the Premiership is because they know if they want to play for there country, they give themselves the best chance by applying themselves in the Prem. Currently out of all the leagues in Europe, the EPL has the most Internationals in there league. I have never said the English national team is quality, it isnt, big improvements need to be made, and they will be. They might be struggling at the moment, but at least they will never get as bad as the rest of the home nations.
The reason for Scotland and the other poor leagues in Europe not having many foreigners playing in there is simple, it's at a poor footballing standard, young players especially are unlikely to improve there that much, not too many full stadiums, and lets be honest, it does not have the most cosmopolitan areas does it.
All the English teams need to do now is win the Champions league on a regular basis to cement the fact that the Premiership is the best in the world.

Oh aye all the English team are plying their trade in the BEST league in the world. sure that is why yous do not even rank in the top 10 in the world.2 more defeats and yous will be down to 17th Johnny foriegner RULES the PL and Johnny foriegners MONEY rules the PL all ENGLAND supplies are the NAMES of the teams so your telling me that johnny foriegner would play and live in Bolton just to play for the team? your havin a Laaaaaaaaaaaaaugh mate

Bolton beat Athletico WHO? oh yes that team that in the history books were once good so I think I will mention to you your plonker that Dundee United beat FC Barcelona in FC Barcelona back in the 80s. Just face it the PL has tooooo many mediocre teams just making up the numbers like Newcastle. all TALK nay action like most of the teams down there.

In terms of a world class 16 (firt eleven and five subs), surely it's hard to beat this one:

Cech

D. Alves Terry Puyol Lahm

Gerrard Fabregas Kaka

Ronaldo Torres Messi

Subs: Casialls, Carragher, Essien, Ribery, Eto'o

Full of pace, abilty, strengh, leadership and goals

For a Premier League all–star eleven: Cech
Sagna Terry Carragher Evra
Ronaldo, Gerrard, Fabregas, Hleb
Torres, Rooney

Anyone got any different opinions, I would love to hear them. Thanks, Rob

Yet again, another wannabe pundit writes in a load of waffle. 'West Bromwich, Derby and Bolton could not compete in the Scottish Premier League'– I think it's fair to say you need your head testing, I am a supporter of none of these clubs but they would all easily be challenging for thirdfourth andfifth spot, the same Bolton who knocked out Athletico Madrid over two legs, and your trying to say they could not compete against Falkirk and the rest of the part–time postmen and bakers. On a few rumours written lately, Ibrahimovic might be following Mancini to the Hammers, never going to happen, him and Carlton Cole up front, I think it's another happy hammer in dream land. Robinho are not going ASrsenal either, he may of nearly went there in the Summer after falling out with Cappelo, but know he is Madrids star man under Schuster, so no transfer on the cards. Whoever said Inter are underachieving are mistaken, they have been knocked out to Liverpool in Champs League but they are coasting Serie A, and never do that well in Europe anyway. Another rumour which was written is that Henry might be going back to Arsenal, no, why would Wenger bring him back after seeing Adebeyour playing the way he has after the freedom he has been given since Henrys departure. And finally Dos Santos are not going Man United or anywhere else, he will be groomed to take Ronaldinho's place when he leaves in the Summer, and Eto'o are not going Arsenal, he will cost between £25–35 million, and Wenger has just came out recently and said no huge amounts of cash will be spent in the Summer, more lkely is Menez, Briand, Gourcuff and Capel.
Thanks, Rob (W. N. W's)

'The so called English Premier League is attractive to foriegners purely for the CASH,a mean who wants to live in Bolton? ' –What a ridiculous statement, every English player who plays for the National team is currently applying there trade in the Prem, bar Beckham. The reason why Scotland Italy has fewer foreigners than the Premiership and La Liga is because the Scottish league is at such a poor standard, hardly any money from TV rights, not many youngsters coming through apart from McGeady and S. Fletcher, and as soon as a bid is accepted from a half decent club then they will be off. Italy on the other hand, to put it simply– the bottom has fallen out, big time. After all the scandals, the likes of Juve and Parma having financial problems, Milan getting battered in the league, after Tuesday night, no Italian teams in Champs League, it is a poor state of affairs, that is why no foreigners are interested in the two leagues. Spain and England are miles ahead, in terms of attendance, money, quality of players and staff etc.

Cheers, rob– ‘Wisdom not wisecracks'

Martin Jol has something to prove and I like him.
I would give him the job to bring us in top 6.

Having sat there yesterday and watched that load of yesterday, I reckon we need a manager with some guts and personality. Big Sam certainly has the guts, as does Big Martin Jol. Mind you I stayed til the end and cheered them off.

For the person who said Huntelaar is moving to Celtic for £5 million + vennegoor is an person. Huntelaar is rated at around £17 million and Celtic will never afford his wages

The so called English Premier League is attractive to foriegners purely for the CASH,a mean who wants to live in Bolton? The EPL is Foriegn owned, full of foriegn players, the only English thing about it are the names of the towns where the stadiums are. The stadiums are even being renamed? a mean THE EMIRATES? in London? what isthat all about. Apart from the top 4 the football being played really is average in comparison with the rest of Europe. Finally since the PL was established 16 or 17 years ago only 2 teams have won the CL,Liverpool and Man United. that is no where near the consistencey of say SPAIN or ITALY so your argument holds NO water other than it's the biggest circus but not with the best acts. Having said that this year will see Man United win the Champions League.

Couldn't agree more with 'Rob'. too much Rafa this and that and Arsene wants this and that. what happened to the good old fashioned rumour from at least a source close to a player, club etc.

Ok my man (who told me in June 07 about Torres) states that Riise's agent (Marshall I think) cannot get another contract out of Rafa and that he is surplus to requirements in the Summer. Rafa wants to off load. The rumour at Melwood is Newcastle and Villa are in the running. fee of course is unknown. Unfortunately the rumour of Michael Owen returning is also rife (God I hate Owen) so I am hoping that does not bear fruit. However the reception he got in 2006 from the fans did not go down too well with Owen by all accounts. Hopefully on Saturday he will be given more stick for selling out on LFC.

Villa have first refusal on Carson and he will be leaving in the Summer, however Villa bulked at the price quoted hence no sale in January.

Steve Finnan is another on borrowed time, his form is not what is required and has not been for awhile. The fact that Rafa has moved Carragher to right back several times, despite Finnan being fit is a clue.

Despite what the media thinks, Rafa is secure in his post. There is a buzz about a young forward being the next best thing. Nemeth who's being pulling up trees and is showing real class apparently.

Oh and Kewell is off to Tottenham on a free.

Remember proper rumours please. PS Do not expect an avalanche of money when DIC take over in April for the Summer.

So lets clear the English Scottish debate up. Currently the most in demand coverage of ANY football league in the world is the Premier League, this is down to it's passion, pace, and excitement. They may only be three teams fighting for the title at the moment, but if you compare it to Spain–two teams,Italy–one team,France–one team, you get the picture. Also with the likes of Villa, Everton, Portsmouth and Tottenham spending more than ever, the competiton is getting harder and harder. The reason for the huge amount of foreigners in the Premiership is that they want to play there, its the ultimate test,if you can compete in the Premier League you can play anywhere. One quick word on Scotland, McDonald could not get again at the Southampton when he was there, now he is the Messiah, the big poacher top of the charts.
It's laughable, people are writing on this site that
Newcastle and Liverpool are intersted in him, lol,
he is not good enough to clean Voronins boots never mind El Nino, look at the midfield general
who is Ferguson, he could not get into Blackburns
team now along with him and Brown the two best center midfielders in Scotland. Ceullar, McGeady and Brown are the only three
players who could handle the Prem. Oh, and finally
those who say Scottish football is at the same or even
at a faster pace than England, hoofing the
ball from one box to the other does not count.
There is no debate between the two leagues, the only
league who is close to England is Spain, who edge
technically, but often lacks pace and you
can hear a pin drop in most of the stadiums. You will see the quality of the Premiership when all four teams are in the last eight of the Champions League, only two Spanish teams, no Italian ones, no French teams and probably no German teams either, debate over

Scottish football rubbish?

Do not think so mate. the first British team to win the European Cup? oh yes that was Celtic 1967 the same year Scotland humped the so called World Champions although they won it with home advantage, hardly a Germany a Brazil or an Italy. It was'nt a real win by any standards. The thing is that win has held your nation back as yous still seem to live way back when a thrupney bit could get you a loaf 20 cigarettes and Tom Jones's new hit single. The Battle of Britain Champions League Leeds v The Great Glasgow Rangers who won that.? oh yes THA GERS. and in recent years have you noticed just how well The Glasgow Celtic have done against the BEST in Europe? well I suggest you go and check up on just how well they have done against AC Milan–Man United–Juve. despite Juve buying all the referees bunch of Italian cheats they should have been thrown out of football for 10yrs but the paid the appeal judges Mills to get a lenient sentance. The Italians are nothing but cheating. shame on that nation. Anyway you English knockers of Scottish football go ad knock your own PL it's full of foriegners YES Johnny foriegner, the only thing English about the PL are the Club names. however I must say Rooney is GOOOOOOD. and trys to stay up as much as he can,not like the soft imports and their Italian learned feigning diving and cheating. Go and knock Italian football and leave the Scots alone, the Italians should be thrown out of world football, the dumb religious pius Bast. ds,oh how they bless and kiss themselves and point to the sky fkn persons. hypocrits and slanderers of their religion.

Honesty Prevails.

I am sorry to say, I have just witnessed a performance by one of the poorest RANGERS teams that has particapated in European club football, NO, I repeat, NO skill or creative football whatsoever and lack of leadership. I will not name the players who are at fault, because I am certain that within themselfs, they know, if honest, they are just not RANGERS class, what is more disturbing, Mr Smith, the manager, fails to see the obvious, so much so, it is bloody soul destroying. Fortunately, due to very poor opposition from other teams within the SPL, it certainly looks as though Rangers will go forward and win the League, thus giving a FALSE sense of SUPERIORITY, therfore I conclude and hope that some day in the near future, someone with authority will install a format of ENTERTAINING, ATTACKING football back at Ibrox and stop the embarrassment.

who commented on Sven KNOWS NOTHING about football or business. Englands most successful manager in over 40 yrs has proved his credentials once again with a double over Man United first time in 34yrs to win at Old Trafford. Every Manchester City supporter would give Sven 100 quid to to that every season. Sven is a GENIUS as he has proved. ENGLAND will not be successful with capello they should re–employ Sven and realize that England football team are mediocre at best and are deluded if they think they can cope with the top 10 in the world. Sven as a super business man negociated a super deal with the people at FA who do not understand business but as Sven the cool businessman that he is got a better deal because in negiciation he sensed he was dealing with fools, that is good business skill. So he WON. What he is doing with Manchester City is admirable. Sven is SO COOL CALM and COLLECTED something you do not often see in the very NERVOUS people in the world of footall management. He sure knows his stuff. Goodluck to him, finally the English press will again bring down the new manager and the punters will buy into the manipulations as football fans the world over are not so bright.

RE: I'm the one who posted that comment on how rubbish Scottish football is.

and the comment below this one just sums it up.

all you lot are doin is using this site to post who ure dreaming will come to Glasgow or Celtic. makes me laugh my head off.

no decent player will go to the SPL, just get overit. the football is so boring and slow it is more fun watching paint dry.

im sure Wayne Rooney will love a nice outing away to Gretna in front of a crowd of four chavs and an old fart.

good look to you jocks. lmfao

absolutely sick of it. just look on the transfers. every other comment is on either Celtic or Glasgow.

so pack ure bags, and off

– > Joe

Well in answer to this it's obvious you know nothing of Scottish football – slow? it's probably the fastest paced football in Europe – as for no decent players? Carlos Cuellar – barry Ferguson – aidan gcgeady – vennegoor – Beasley – burke – HUTTON – amongst others – if the English league is so good why is it dominated by around 70 percent foreigners? and if English football is so good then why did not you qualify for the euro championship? in such an easy group?
do not claim to know Scottish football especially when you come from a nation of bigots and football hooligans.
when you get your standard of football raised – especially against Scottish teams (Blackburn, Liverpool, Man United, Leeds – have all failed to beat Scottish teams) then feel free to return and open your big uninformed ignorant mouth ;)
