Yeah, Liverpool can't break teams down. did you not see the champions league final 2005, or the FA Cup 2006? Maybe won on penalties, still the greatest European game of all time, and one of the best FA Cups of all time, which are usually dour affairs. Rafa WILL win the league as Liverpool manager, especially if he gets the financial backing Chelsea and Manchester United have both had, Chelsea bought the title, Manchester United were good last season, but are trying to buy the title this season, Rafa hasn't even had as much money as what gets spent at Newcastle, so Frankly nobody can question his abilities as a manager, if you do, you know nothing about football whatsoever.
Also, Messi and Ronaldinho would go past our defenders? Like Messi and Ronaldinho did against Liverpool in the champions league this season? Both were made to look ridiculously ordinary by Carragher and Agger, put a midfielder like Sissoko on them and they're out of the game, they're creative and skillfull, sure , but they don't have the same determination, the same never say die attitude English players, and English teams do (Man United in the '99 champions league final, Liverpool in 2005) , I've seen Messi play a lot, yeah he's got a lot of flair, pace and creativity, but he's also incredibly lazy, against Liverpool in the quarter finals, there was so many balls that he just wouldn't chase, also, he's a cheating scumbag, see: Hand Of God: Part 2.
A league that doesn't play football? That's why all world class players say they want to play there some day? That's why we've had an English champions league finalist for the last three years? Overrated defenders? Get a grip of yourself, Terry, Carragher, Woodgate, Ferdinand, Gary Neville, Sol Campbell, Ledley King, are among the best defenders in the world, as for 'kicking players', it's well known that Italian defenders are a lot dirtier, shirt pulling, etc, the fact is, the Premiership is by far the best league in the world.
You are narrow minded, you rate players on what they have done in the Premiership. just because you think they are "lightwieght" they would flop. you have no respect for serie a and la liga because you just said thier leagues best player would not be good enough for the Premiership. and as for Milan not playing well in the final well that's because Liverpool didn't let them, who from Liverpool stopped time with a great performance.
Whats all this stuff about cutting it in the permiership.
To the guy who claims I'm 'narrow minded', your logic is ridiculous, just because Deco is a two time Champions League winner, he's world class? Maldini's won it five times, would anyone sign him?Clarence Seedorf has won four, nobody touts him as 'world class'. The amount of medals you have is not detrimental to you being world class, it's about the team around him, as for Pirlo, look at the champions league final this year, he wasn't even in the game, in fact, Milan weren't really in the game, besides one piece of skill, Kaka was made to look ordinary, but then, in the Milan vs Man United sem–final, Kaka made Cristiano Ronaldo look ordinary, the best player in the final was Inzaghi, who would have expected that? Any player can have his day, but for Deco and Pirlo to perform in our gruelling Premiership campaign, I don't think they could, it's a much tougher, more demanding league, just look at Shevchenkos failings, 'best striker in the world' for many years, yet can't hack it with a tougher, faster league and longer campaign.
I agree that some of those players would struggle in the Premiership, but that does nt mean they rnt world class. Shevchenko struggles in the prem, and even though I hate him, and always have done, he is still world class. I disagree with u about Pirlo being a lightweight however, I think he would do very well in the Premiership. however Deco u have a point, he's a fantastic player, but spends more time diving trying to con the ref, a part of the game that the English didn't get involved in so much a while ago, however now with Andy Johnson and Gerrard diving on a regular basis, its crept into our game, which is dissapointing really. I hear u about Crouch, he scores important goals, but he lacks the quality to be even a good player, he's awful, and I don't think the best nations in the world would even consider him in their squad nevermind let him touch the ball.
To the guy who dosnet rate Pirlo and Deco at all because he dosnet THINK they would cut it in the Premiership. get out of that box you live in, Deco and Pirlo are both champions league winners actually Deco is 2 time winner and Pirlo was the driving force for Italy during thier world cup win. but its not good enough is it they have to prove thier worth in the Premiership to be get any credit from my fellow countrymen (i presume you are English) . you know there is football outside of England. don't be so narrow minded
I don't rate Deco and Pirlo at all, they're both lightweights and neither would cut it in the Premiership, I also think Kaka would struggle in the Premiership too, he wouldn't get half the fouls given for him that he gets in Serie A. Again with Crouch, we don't play long ball to him, hence Gerrard scoring so many goals, if we did, it'd bypass the whole midfield, 'he gets some important goals, which is all some people want from a striker'. er. it is, it's all any club wants, in Dirk Kuyt we've got someone who'll chase down every ball, we don't need it from Crouch, and Messi is class, and will be world class in the future, but not yet, also would struggle in the Premiership, my estimation of him went down after his 'hand of God' against Espanyol.
Well Kaka Cristiano Ronaldo Deco Messi Pirlo are all better than Gerrard in my opinion. I'm not saying he's a bad player, cause to be behind those is not a bad thing. I cnt argue that Crouch has impressive stats, he gets important goals, which for some people is all u could want in a striker. but he lacks the one thing nearly all English players do, class. iv seen Crouch make a few nice touches and fool defenders, but iv also seen him turn around and not even know where the ball is after his first touch, or even fall over himself. I suppose its just about opinions, I love the way Arsenal play football, its just beautiful, the way the game was intended. and then when I see the complete contrast of that, the long ball to Crouch, or the Bolton rugby tactics, I just can not appreciate it, no matter how many goals they score or how high in the league they finish.
To the guy that said people like Saha or Riquelme wouldn't join a Scottish club. Your knowledge of Scottish Football isn't the best is it? Did you ever think people like Brian Laudrup, Paul Gascoigne, Trevor Steven, Henrik Larsson, Roy Keane, Paolo Di Canio etc etc would ever join Scottish Clubs?
I don't see how you put Gerrard outside the top five in the world, who would you put ahead of him? Ronaldinho even said in a recent article that he'd have Gerrard in his team ahead of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, regarding Crouch, you can't say he has no flair or creativity, he regularly skins defenders in the Premiership but in the same respect of me thinking Dyer was underrated, I don't see as many Newcastle games, so don't see all he does, whereas you don't see as many Liverpool games, but as pointed out by McLaren, Crouch runs more in a game than any other player, (Opta stats) , closing down defenders and so on, I think most Liverpool fans will agree with you on him not being good in the air, perhaps his England goals are against poor opposition but in a Liverpool shirt he got 18 goals this season in just 25 actual starts, that's Champions league, FA Cup, and League, hardly against poor opposition.
Firstly Celtic. Has Tommy Burns not already made it clear that Celtic are not going to sign maakay so why are u lot still posting in saying you are going to sign him!?. And to the Celtic fans who thinks Celtic are going to sign Saha or Ljunberg or Riquelme please tell me you are high or something because players like that will never sign for a Scottish club.
So that confirms u are a Liverpool fan then.
Are you joking? First of all I mentioned Rio in the overrated players, secondly Crouch is very underrated, hence barely getting a game for England despite having 13 goals in 19 games, and to say Gerrard is overrated, clearly YOU have no knowledge, he's the only player in the world to score in a Champions league final, FA Cup final, League Cup final, and a UEFA cup final, he leads by example and drags the best out of other players, get a grip of yourself.
To the guy with the most over rated lists etc. are u a Liverpool fan by any chance?
To those Rangers fans who talk about religion make me laugh, imagine even mentioning religion with their track record here and in Europe, the reason we want Strachan to go is the simple fact that in the last 6 months we haven't been playing that good so anything about religion is you Rangers fans tiny mind.
To the Orange person and the other guy that replied to my post. How can you call Celtic fans bigots when you call yourself orange and then end your post with Hello Hello. Just shows how ignorant some of you are. And as for being the one that brought up Catholicism. look at the original post and you will see that whoever wrote it brought up Religion and Politics as to why Celtic fans don't like WGS. What religion was he talking about if it wasn't Catholic? Gordon Strachan isn't liked because Celtic arent playing the Celtic way not because he isn't Celtic minded. Maybe you should be more worried about who Celtic are going sign next from under the noses of Rangers!
Top 5 Players To Hate:
The ORANGE Leprechaun. Well you cast the line and as usual a wee ignorant tic haddie grabs the hook, God it's so bloody easy (snigger) , read the comments about trying to poison the U. K. public made by a tic BIGOT, well if I'm correct the posts that were made, WERE about football and there was NO mention about Catholicism only how the majority of the Celtic support were criticising wee Chesney, even though he managed his team to two titles and a very good run in the Champions League, I'm quite sure MOST true supporters would be over the moon with this, but unfortunately in GLASGOW this is not so and therefore I presume any tic supporter who thinks Strachan is not Celtic minded must be a BIGOT.
Poison the minds of the British public? Wee Chesney (Strachan) has won two League titles, reached the last stages of the Champions League and now some tic Bigots are making an excuse, they say his team are not playing attractive football, well I'm sure most footie supporters in Britain would relish the fact their team is doing so well, NOT SO with the tic BIGOTS. Just like the one who posted his message, bringing up the subject of Catholics, I can assure you sir, Rangers have a team of players that come from all Denominations and Faiths from around the World, so therefore your sorry little post, actually proves you are the BIGOT. Get A LIFE
Just visited this sight for the first time and I see that the Rangers fans are trying to poison the rest of the UK with their religious intolerance. Dear, dear! Especially the guy that was going on about Gordon Strachan not being Celtic minded. blah, blah, blah. Did it ever cross your tiny mind that Celtic supporters are not keen on him because Celtic haven't played very well under his management. No,no it must be because he isn't a Catholic. Get a grip lads and try to talk about football for a change.
Arsenals failure to spend money will see them fall from CL to UEFA cup if things don't change. I mean is it just me or have gooners been bangin on about having a great side for the future and lots of potential talent for the last 10 seasons? how far in the future do they see these things happening? 50 years? if Arsenal don't start splashing the cash or at least spending a little money to improve then the big names (Gallas, Henry, Fabregas, rosiscky E. t. c) are going too leave and that will be the end of CL football for Arsenal.

I am making a humble request to any nice lad who has got AW's e–mail address. The guy is Messing us up. I just like any other concerned gooner, would like to hear of finallized deals and not rubbish rumours posted on this site for 2 to 3 years like that of Torres. Things should happen otherwise its number four once more and we say goodbye to Henry and Fabregas. We can't speak of a team of the future for ten years. I thought now is the future. Please get back to me! Jonah, a pissed Gooner
