If the rumours are true and craig bellamy is on the move again i pity the club that actually get him to sign for them. This guy sums up everything that is wrong with the modern day player,if other teams have got any sense they will let him rot in the man city reserves, perhaps then he might just stop chasing the dream all the time and actually settle somwhere and work for the team that probably have been paying him top wages while he has been out injured again. . . . Ferne Snoyl’s proposed transfer to NAC – statement from Route1management
Route1management spokesman Dave Thomas said: “Snoyl disputes that we represent him. As a result we have involved the KNVB. This is an ongoing situation which is why we are amazed that NAC feel that they can sign the player. RKC are also aware that there are problems surrounding Snoyl.
We are unhappy with the way Snoyl has conducted himself in the last few weeks. We are also unhappy with the conduct of the people who have suddenly appeared on the scene claiming to represent him and indeed the conduct of some of those family members supposedly advising him.
We will pursue this matter until we are satisfied. “ I wood lik to see the rangers fans stop all the rumours as rangers ar skint booooooooooooo Hello Micheal Bland. . . . .
Well you're a tool aren't you. Very Un-educated
FACT ! In the last 5 years, United have spent considerably less than Liverpool and Chelsea.
Spurs have layed out the most cash in the last 2 years.
The Serbians you speak of, Adem Ljajic and Zoran Tosic, weren't 16-18 million each, just 16 million for the pair, from Partizan.
Carrick didn't cost 24 million, just 14 million, rising to 16.5.
Veron was 28 million, Rooney was also 28.1 million, (not all at once i might add), Rio was again 28, and Berba cost 29 million. Not the 30 million misreported by you.
And i can't understand why you , mentioned Djemba Djemba. That was 2003 and he cost less than 3 million. And Ferguson has just done the best bit of business in the history of football, making a 67.5 million pound profit on a player who served the club for 6 years, contributing to making us the biggest club in the world. Cheers.

Menseguez: Celtic interest

Skysports.com understands Celtic have now emerged as favourites to sign Argentine winger Juan Carlos Mensequez.
The 25-year-old was signed by new Celtic manager Tony Mowbray for West Brom in January and impressed during a loan spell from San Lorenz.
Mowbray was keen to sign the former Wolfsburg schemer on a permanent basis at the Hawthorns and has reignited his interest since taking over at Celtic. * No ambition
Gareth Barry claimed he wanted to join another club for champion’s league football and he joins Manchester City. This player showed he has no ambition and only joined for the money. He don’t care that City are not in the Champions League simply because he is earning 102,000 a week.
Carlos Tevez again is showing no ambition if he joins Man City. Who wanted to join Man City before all the money bags arrived. He again will only go there for the money. Football is not about winning a trophy anymore, it’s about getting as much money as you can in a short amount of time. Prediction for Manchester City next season… Mark Hughes to get the sack after a couple of months of indifferent results and to be replaced by some so called famous manager who has won nothing for a few years and will be presently out of a job unless City pay millions to take one from a club like Inter.
* No loyalty
If either Alonso or Mascherano leave Liverpool FC, if won’t be for the lack of first team games or ambition. Rafa has made these players into what they are now. Alonso came from Real Sociedad and nobody had really heard much of him outside of Spain and now he plays regular for his country and clubs are willing to pay millions for his services. Mascherano came from West Ham where he had not been doing well struggling to get into the first team, now he is the captain of Argentina and again clubs willing to pay millions for him. If they go I would lose respect for these players because of they lack of loyalty and Liverpool FC have ambitions, they obviously want to win the Premier League and Champions League but my gut feeling tells me that neither is going to leave.
* Greed
In an ideal world of ambition or loyalty, Gareth Barry should have been loyal to Aston Villa or ambitious by joining Liverpool but he showed none of these by joining Manchester City and showed that it was for the allure of money.
Carlos Tevez still has time to make the right decision but I have my doubts about him and his professionalism.
* Long term loyalty
John Terry has been a Chelsea player a long time now and rumours of 300k a week or 40 million to the club did not change either player or club. Both remained loyal to each other. The player is true and straight and did not put money first. The clubs manager publicly stated that the player is the long term future and success for this club. You can’t beat a bit of loyalty. The same applies to Steven Gerrard of Liverpool.
* To finish
As a Liverpool fan all my life, I think both Alonso and Mascherano should publicly state that they don’t want to leave Liverpool FC and see their future there for the foreseeable long term future just like Fernando Torres… but it makes you wonder why they haven’t…?
It makes me believe the transfer rumours linking Liverpool FC to midfielders like Inler of Udinese and Cana of Marseille as possible replacements but I hope not.
I hope these players stay and the club retains all the key players and add one or two more along with Glen Johnson and hopefully to the premier league title. Why is it so quiet at Anfield? I totally agree with the previous guys comments on man city and there transfer and wages policy.what they are paying these players is obscene amount of money and is not a policy that will bring long term success like man utd.i for one have no time for teams that attempt to but the league in this way like chelsea have done in the past i would much rather a team like everton or arsenal beat them every time.the players are far from faultless all you get from them is there careers are short bollocks ime sorry this just doesn't wash with me anymore it might of been true in the past but has not been the case for a long time now even if a player is earning 40 grand a week for say fifteen years this should be more than enough to live comfortably for the rest of his life.manchester city might well go on to great things next season but don't bank on it give me a team of players who are commited to the team any day rather than a bunch of overpaid mercanaries. I have word from a very reliable source that will shed some light on how Chelsea will go about their transfer business:
Ancelotti takes over today and the first thing on his agenda is securing the stay of kep players such as Michael Essien, Ashley Cole and Joe Cole. Essien and Ashley Cole are finalising contracts and are definite to stay however Joe Cole may seek new challeneges elsewhere.
Chelsea have already ensured services of a left winger admist speculation about Joe Cole in the signing of Yuri Zhirkhov for approximately £18m from CSKA Moscow. The winger has agreed terms which will see Zhirkhov at the bridge this Friday.
Ancelotti is also keen on attacking midfielder Sessegnon of PSG and will reveal this signing next week at £15m unless contract talks take a halt however Sessegnon has already expressed his excitement of joining Chelsea so this is unlikely.
On the other hand Deco and Carvalho are to join Inter Milan in the next two weeks which may leave the way for Maicon to join Chelsea however this is dependent on Jose Bosingwa who is currently considering Bayern Munich.
If Bosingwa and Maicon fall through Phillippe Mexes has also been shortlisted as a possible replacement alongside Micah Richards.
Chelsea have already secured the signing of Manchester City hot prospect Dean Sturridge, the fee will be arranged by a tribunal next Monday. This signing will lead the way for Franco Di Santo to go on Loan and he is currently in talks with Big Sam at Blackburn.
Ancelotti's top target however is a prolific striker and the failed signing of Alexandre Pato at £32m may force Ancelotti to break the bank at £40m which will secure his man. Ancelotti had a back-up in place in the form of Carlos Tevez however he has joined city on a 4 year deal.
Other back-ups include Sergio Aguerro however this may come down to a bidding war with United and Ferguson has the upper hand as he is adament on putting the Ronaldo signing to bed. This shouldn't scare Ancelotti as Pato is his man and he will unveil him at Chelsea late this month.
Ancelotti arrives at Chelsea today and has 3 weeks till pre season starts, alot of business will be taking place in West London throughout this time I assure you. A RANT IN GENERAL AT WHAT IS HAPPENING. .
I have read a lot of rumoured stories on this website and I find the majority are a joke. People are reading a bad rumour and then jump onto it as if it was true and continue the rumour.
Manchester United will get a lot of money for the Ronaldo sale and the fans think that they will buy every player out there now. . rumours flying around about Aguero, Benzema, Villa, Silva, Ribery etc. .
Lyon will not sell Benzema unless they get a huge offer which he is not worth. . Ath Bilbao want a bidding war between Real, United etc knowing there is money out there and will hold clubs to ransom trying to get huge amounts for players that are simply not worth it and haven't proven anything yet.
The reasons why Kaka, Ronaldo have gone for huge fees is because they have proven it already and this player always said it was his dream to wear the white of Real Madrid. . Kaka was voted world player of the year in the past and Ronaldo is the present world player of the year and these players have plenty of good seasons in them.
Can someone tell me what has Ribery done yet? What has Aguero done yet? What has Benzema done yet? . . Besides score a few goals in there own league. These players are not worth the millions being quoted for them. Darren Bent was top scorer for Tottenham last season and was not being played regular by the manager. . yet why isn't he worth 30 million going on what clubs are asking for their strikers who have scores similar amount of goals etc. Bent is a proven goal scorer and not only with Spurs but did it for Charlton in the premier league in the past. .
I have read rumours linking teams to players I haven't even heard of in the real world but I have seen them on Fifa 09 and rated over 80 on a game does not make them good players in reality. . kids creating teams on a game thinking they are Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger etc, a complete joke and thinking these players are good when actually they are playing for smaller teams for a good reason.
Speaking of jokes. . Manchester City are turning their whole team into a mess. . they are trying to buy players like Tevez, Eto'o etc and offering them wages in the hundreds of thousands weekly. An example of giving a player too much wages is Gareth Barry, City are giving him 102,000 a week. Come on tell me why Barry went to Manchester City???? And not Liverpool or stay at Villa??? I thought he wanted Champions League football? If Tevez goes to Manchester City, it will not be for football reasons, it will obviously be for the money. . and what if these rich people decide to pull out of City in the near future and move onto their next experiment where does that leave Man City. . I know. . a huge debt with a huge wage bill and in serious searching mode for new investment. . hence why I'm saying they will be heading for a mess.
I know money has brought the League title in the past. . looks at Chelsea. When the Russian stopped paying out huge amounts for players, they stopped winning the league. The days of a Nottingham Forest winning the European Cup are well gone. . only big spending clubs will win the big trophies now, the smaller clubs will just survive and getting to the top division in their country is an achievement now and even a bigger achievement is staying there. .
To finish. . all I want to say now is I hope a team that doesn't spend millions and millions in the transfer market win the League with a proper team of good professionals and team spirit and not a bunch of money hungry individuals.
Loyalty is what is needed. . a fine example of this is Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard. . especially Gerrard. He rejected big money moves in Chelsea twice in the past and stayed with Liverpool to try and win the League even recently said that he sees his present contract as his last and would be very proud of the fact that he would be after playing his whole career with one club. . a very rear thing these days.
If anyone agrees or disagrees with anything in the above rant please do respond, would be very interested to hear other opinions. "chelsea, man utd have all paid the money and won the league. only team in recent years not to "buy" the league is arsenal. I wouldn't expect anything else from a villa fan where talking b0ll0cks must be a trait for you lot. Top 4 my @rse. You deserve a slap. Give me six inbred."
To the daft Liverpool fan that posted the above. Claiming Man United have "bought" the league makes you look pretty stupid. Since laughing boy Benitez has been in charge, Liverpool have outspent (net) United. Up until the Ronanldo transfer, Benitez had spent £18m more than SAF. Obviously, after the transfer, this goes to something like £100m more than SAF. Therefore, Liverpool should be better than United. No? Oh, I guess then, that a good manager does make a difference to a club, and your comment above was just more, bitter, RS rubbish.
Next season:
1. Man United
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. Everton
5. Man City
6. Liverpool Too the person who wrote this >>>>>>> Andrew driver will sign for burnley next week for 2mill. also burnley will sign gary caldwell frm rangers for 1.5mill. >>>>>>>>> Caldwell plays for the rotten side of glasgow . But Burnley are a better side . . . . the man in the loop "Anyway, that new Arab guy who has bought 60% of a club (seems to be Liverpool) will be making some dreams come true. If it is Liverpool and they win the title, it is only because of money (I'm a Villa fan), unlike United who have deserved it."
to the numpty who posted the above. deserved it heh . . chelsea, man utd have all paid the money and won the league. only team in recent years not to "buy" the league is arsenal. I wouldn't expect anything else from a villa fan where talking b0ll0cks must be a trait for you lot. Top 4 my @rse. You deserve a slap. Give me six inbred. Transfer Fees
There's all sorts of poo-pooing about how high some rumoured bids are for certain players.
It's to do with the euro. When an English team bids for a player on the continent, they have to bid in euros. Like wise when the continental teams bid for an english player, that bid is in euros. Most continental players that are playing in england are paid in sterling which is paid into bank accounts back in their own country, converted into euros. Xabi Alonso (Liverpool & Spain) has been complaining about it in press interviews because he has seen his pay effectively cut by 30% because of the euro.
So how does this affect things? Lets take a spanish player - David Villa. Assume his club values him at 50M euros. A year ago that was 36M sterling, at the moment it's 45M sterling. So that means a club in England has to find an extra 9M sterling, even though the player is still valued at 50M euros. The player hasn't gone up in price, the exchange rate has shifted dramatically.
This is why you see silly 'valuations' of Mascherano etc. It's not what it is in sterling, it's what it is in euros. Barca are willing to pay 50M euros for Masch. That's what they were willing to pay last year, that's what they're willing to pay now.
The minute you are talking foreign players moving from europe to here or here back to europe, stop thinking in sterling. Think in euros then it will make more sense. "Chelsea will sell Drogba to Inter Milan in exchange for Pato and cash."
Pato plays for AC Milan. Who are man city going to play against when they have brought everyones players. To the guy writing aqbout the stadium tour of madrid - load of cobblers mate!! I did the tour recently and the tour is 10 Euros, unguided and you don't get anywhere behind the scenes so the idea you see a whitebaord in the managers office - someones on the ale!!
LFC - a mate of mine who lives on the wirral tells me the word in caldy where rafa lives is that a big spanish/south american name will put pen to paper on a 5 yr deal and join lfc for a serious push on the title next year Liverpool rumours
Liverpool are gonna be taken over, there will be money to spend and the targets have already been identified. There will be one big name signing to help with commercial appeal.which could be one from Sergio,Silva,Tevez or even Ronaldihno.
Now liverpool will also get a new rightback, and there is a chance that one of our beloved midfielders will leave but we will get at least a player from RM
If i were the gaffer- i will let alonso go in exchange of Robben,Heinze and van der vaat/sneider The move of diego ribas to juventus has been kept rather quiet and nobody seems particularly interested. Incidentally does anybody really think that the likes of xavi, iniesta, messi would leave barca? I think that anybody would have to buy both iniesta and xavi to get them to move. All of hese players are out of contract and will be signin 4 eniglish teams

nuno valente-stoke """"""""""To the person that made the post re epl clubs in debt of 3.1b
I would like to see where you got these so called FACTS from.
The reason LFC are in less debt than the others is due to the fact
that they still play in a Championship stadium! Once they build a new one (if they do - plug was pulled due to shortage of cash several months ago), then we will see the club in major debt and get to see how good a manager RB really is!!"""""""""""""
. .Regarding the above statement . . not me who made the original remarks but the person is correct in saying that the English Premier League clubs do have a debt of 3.1 billion. These stats where released to the public only recently and was in the media. . TV and Papers. . so the person is correct.
Regarding your comment on Lfc playing in a Championship Stadium. . The stadium has a capacity of over 45000 and have had international games played there. . wake up
Regarding building a new stadium putting Lfc into further debt, yes building it costs money but like Man United, Man City, Sunderland, Arsenal etc. . building new stadiums generate more income from the fans and from other promotions and events that will want to host their ideas at a modern venue with modern facilities. . don't you think??
And the debt at a club has nothing to do with the abilities of the Manager at the club. . in fact it could reflect in his favour if he can achieve success without funds. . example. . Steve Bruce when he was at Wigan. . hence why other clubs wanted him as their manager.
So there is your facts. I'm constantly reading these rumours and comments added daily to this website and I find them laughable but to some people's credit they make sense. .
Regarding Liverpool FC, I've read words used like meltdown, massive debts, kop in ruins etc etc. .
The reality is most clubs have debts even the big clubs like Real Madrid. . and into hundreds of millions debt but it don't stop them wanting to spend 60m here, 40m there and so on. .
Liverpool football club made a profit from season 07/08. . won't know results of season 08/09 until next year. . but it was the parent company run by the Americans that made a loss of 42m due to interest of 35m on the loan they took to buy Liverpool for 380m etc etc. . and Liverpool FC are aware of all this and was expected.
Regarding potential signings. . the club obviously have their list with first choice targets, second choice etc for whatever positions that needs strengthening. . i.e. LM: Silva, Downing, Pranjic, A Johnson. . Silva probably too expensive. . Downing injured, Pranjic went to Bayern. . A Johnson available and probably most likely unless someone else becomes available for whatever reasons. .
Since Benitez took charge. . we have seen players like Torres, Mascherano, Skrtel etc arrive. . personally I never heard of Mascherano or Skrtel before they arrived at Liverpool and now these are fan favourites. . and if and when Benitez buys an unknown player to us (and of course the younger fans get upset saying "who is he etc"). . he knows who they are and what they can do. . which is the important part of the deal.
Like any business, they will look at the best possible product for the best possible price and hope it is the solution to the problem, if not try again to find another solution. . example of this. . Mark Gonzales, Seb Leto, Riera, Babel etc at LM. . club still looking for the solution. . and as you have read already regarding first, second, third choices. . (silva, downing etc), who will be coming to Liverpool regarding that position is anyone's guess. . depends on a numerous of reasons which I have already explained.
To finish. . regarding the rumoured transfers, money etc. . it simply comes down to who is available for the best price and the club is not going to spend 20m on a player when they can get the same job done by a player that comes in for a free. .!!
Thanks for reading and roll on the new season. .
A quote from a genius. . Jimmy Greaves - "football is a funny ole game"
My quote. . "Carry on regardless whatever happens" Why is it tht nobody rlly tends to shop in the bundesliga? it is one of the best leagues in the world yet with the exception of ribery nobody seems interested All the rumours flying around the place linking Liverpool FC to the likes of Aguero, Silva, Barry, Johnson etc etc
But the reality of the matter is the club can only afford the likes of Distin on a free, Tuncay because he wants away from a relegated club. .
Liverpool need to keep the squad they have and sell none of their players and try to bring in a couple of free signings as back up. . they need to get degen and the other injured fit and they need to . . .
Get rid of those americans, forget about a new stadium for now and try to balance the books . . sometimes a club has to take a step back before it can progress forward and Liverpool Football Club are at this stage now. .
Aims for next season. .
**** remain in top 4 and qualify for Champions League
**** try to go as far as they can in next seasons Champions League to generate money
**** a cup win would be nice
**** take the first step towards getting rid of the debts
Hopefully they're will big investment in the club in some form in the near future.
Still can't believe that Liverpool are losing out on players to the likes of Man City and Chelsea. .
Just goes to show that football has come down to money and who has the most money will win the league. . just like chelsea for example. . bought the league. . spent no money for last couple of seasons. . did they win the league. .???
Makes you think. . Bookies have closed the book on new Celtic manager it will be Wim Janssen (director) but the day to day running will be little known Paul Cullen (Dublin City) + his assistants. Roll on getting our title back
