True about the fee, most probably free. But important point of note - Abramovic has no formal links with MSI whatsoever. The Iranian dude, Kia Joorabchian or something, is the front man, backed by a bunch of investors, one of which is Boris Berezovsky, who used to be Abramovic's mentor and business partner, which is where the supposed link lies. They fell out a long time ago over the whole Sibneft thing and havn't done business since. I think people maybe think Berezovsky and Abramovic are the same person or something?However, Abramovic is not an investor and has been investigated about his aledged links to MSI by several authorities operating under several juristictions, and nothing, that's NOTHING has been found, no ownership rules have been broken. Furthermore it's more likely MSI might take over WH, rather than Tevs and Mascherano leaving in summer, I can see them challenging for the title in 2-5 years. Finally, that's "rough shod" not "shot", and easy there moany moanerson!

At the beginning of the summer Arsenal immedietly scooped Rosicky for a cheap 7 million. Ever since then names such as Tevez, Mascherano, adriano, torres, roninho, davies. All names that i'd have loved to see at arsenal. however on the last day we panick buy two players. How on earth did we manage to sell the best left-back in the prem for 5 mil whilst chelsea have unloaded a wantaway player, is gallas worth 15 mil+, no.

I feel that if we'd of just sold cole earlier for 18 mil or so we coulde have had the money to buy a good defender and we could've also used Reyes as a better swap deal than to get baptista. Maybe Arsenal left things a bit too late this time and are stuck with a raw deal, whilst now it's even more likely that Chelsea will win. Post your comments on arsenal please.

Bolton and Westham new signings and impending takeovers of these clubs. since when is it good business practice to raise the value of a football club before you buy it?

First of all, the idiot scouser who thinks West Ham "beat Man Utd and Arsenal to the punch" for Tevez and Maschareno, WAKE UP!! Do you really think West Ham are more appealing than the likes of Barca, Milan, United or even Aresnal? The ONLY reason Tevez and Maschareno are at West Ham is because Abramovic's company, MSI, put them there. How much do you think The Hammers have actually paid for them? Nothing, that's how much. I will guarentee that Tevez and maybe Maschareno will be at Chelsea come Jan, or latest next summer. The only reason you think thats funny is because Liverpool could never hope to attract players like that. as a utd fan i think it is funny that as soon as man u get beaten to players like yesterday (tevez)liverpool fans come out and act like we are remotly bothered what they have to say on the matter. if liverpool fans could actually concentrate on thier club and not what everyone else is doing then maybe,just maybe they would be able to get behind there team enough to actually not have to go through the qualification round of the champions league and actually finish above utd in the league.

I just must say that SAF, screwed up again, only two signings this summer isnt good enough for at great club like manchester united, he has the founds to complete great players this season, but have only managed to get carrick and kuzak, and the second one is bougth to replace edwin when he retires, so it is actually only one player for the first team he has brought, simpley not good enough, out with SAF and in with a new manager who can provide the team with some new quality players. I know we are nr 1 in the league now, but we dont have the depth or quality players to hold that position for the rest of the season, will be happy if we manage to get a 2. place.

I am a relentless man utd fan and do my upmost to support them and while they do have a quality team saha was right you cant let ruud go and not sign another top class striker ?? it is insane with rooneys temper and sahas injury proneness i think it is vital if we are to stand a chance of beating the giants chelsea man utd are 1 of the biggest clubs in the world but think that since the glazers have got them they dont seem to make any really big signings with the odd exeption if we are to challenge other clubs we are going to have to put are hands in our pockets and spend west ham getting tevez an not us makes me sick i can only hope that we do sing torres or even trez but think we need to start looking at player in the quality bracket of ibrahimovic or mayby

Does anyone know what the punishment is for "tapping up" a player? Because if Bayern claim that Hargreaves is not for sale and he already had talks with United would there not be some type of punishment for United. Unless of course, Bayern allowed United to talk with Owen.
