Congratulations to Dagenham and Redbridge

Congratulations have to go out to Dagenham and Redbridge after they won promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history. They were not among the favourites at the start of the season but have completely dominated the Conference.

I am sure they will hope to take their form with them into the League Two next season and push on. I wonder how much of a step up it actually is to go from the Conference to League Two?

No longer is it the difference between semi-professional and professional football. These days the Conference National division has a lot of professional clubs, and it has showed in the performances of newly promoted clubs. Whether the Daggers are capable of that step up in class, however, remains to be seen.
