Zema Abbey started his career playing as a striker for non-league Hitchin Town. Then Roy McFarland manager of Cambridge United saw Zema's goal scoring talent and signed him in February of 2000 but he only stayed there for ten months before he moved to Norwich City for ?350,000 in December 2000

The 2001-2002 campaign started well for Zema Abbey he won a place in the first team and was a major factor in Norwich rising up the first division but then Zema injured himself damaging his cruciate ligament and his medial ligament. This led to him missing the rest of the 2001-2002 season

He came back from injury but then there were further knee complications which meant he required more surgery but now he is back.
