Former Roma, Udinese and Siena wing back Vincent Candela is still on the lookout for a new club after leaving relegated Messina at the end of last season.
The 33 year old former France international is weighing up offers from clubs back in his homeland, however would prefer to remain put in Italy.
He informed L'Equipe, "I still have a passion for football, however we must wait until the end of August to know what comes next. I am looking for an interesting challenge at a club where I can enjoy myself. I have good affection for Italy, however if that offer comes from elsewhere I could accept."
