Tore Andre Flo's career began in Norway, with Stryn Sogndal and than played for Tromso and then SK Brann Bergen. After this he moved to Chelsea in August 1997 for £300,000 but didn't get much first team football and decided to play in the Scottish Premier League. Flo's transfer from Chelsea to Rangers for £12 million broke the Scottish transfer record
Then Tore Andre Flo signed a 3 year deal to join Sunderland for £6.75 million in August 2002 which broke the club's previous transfer record of £4.5 million Internationally, Flo was given the nickname 'Flonaldo', after scoring 2 goals and assisting in a friendly against Brazil in 1997
