Genk remained top of the Belgian top flight with a 1-1 draw at home to second-placed Anderlecht on Sunday.
Nicolas Frutos put the champions ahead on the half-hour mark, but Goran Ljubojevic replied for Genk in the 72nd minute.
Genk have 57 points from 25 games, while Anderlecht are on 55. Standard Liege, who lost 1-0 at home to Ghent on Saturday, stayed third on 49 points.
Bottom team Lierse recorded a 3-1 victory at home to SV Roeselare, while second from bottom Beveren went down 2-1 at Zulte Waregem.

Anderlecht slipped to second spot in the Belgian first division on Sunday when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Lokeren.
Racing Genk lead the table by two points from Anderlecht after a 3-0 win at home to Roeselare on Saturday. Genk have 53 points from 23 games, while defending champions Anderlecht have 51 points after the same amount of matches.
Standard Liege are five points further adrift in third after a 3-0 win at FC Brussels, while Ghent, who play late on Sunday, are six points behind in fourth place with a game in hand.
Lierse remained rooted to the bottom of the table on 12 points from 23 games after a 2-0 defeat at home to Cercle Bruges, while Beveren stayed eight points above them following a 2-1 loss at Charleroi.

Anderlecht moved within a point of leaders Racing Genk with a 3-1 win at Germinal Beerschot in the Belgian first division on Sunday.
Genk, who beat bottom club Lierse 3-0 on Saturday, are top on 44 points after 19 games with Anderlecht a point behind.
Standard Liege, who won 5-2 at Charleroi on Friday, are third on 37 points with Ghent who won 3-0 at Excelsior Mouscron.
A 1-0 home defeat for fifth-placed Club Bruges by local rivals Roeselare was enough to see Emilio Ferrera sacked as coach on Sunday and replaced by Serbian Cedo Janevski.
Anderlecht's Mohammed Tchite opened the scoring two minutes before the break at Beerschot and doubled their lead on the hour before Francois Sterchele pulled one back 12 minutes later.
Marcin Wasilewski wrapped up the scoring for the visiting champions when he slotted home eight minutes from time.
Lierse remain at the foot of the table on only nine points with Beveren and Mons eight points above them. Beveren lost 2-0 at Westerlo while Mons were beaten 1-0 by Sint Truiden.

Club Bruges dismissed coach Emilio Ferrera on Sunday and replaced him with Serbian Cedo Janevski.
Sporting director, former Belgian international Marc Dygryse, has also parted company with the 2005 Belgian champions, a statement on the club Web site said.
"It's time for a new broom to sweep clean," added Bruges chairman Michel D'Hooghe.
Bruges, who lost 1-0 at home to Roeselare on Saturday, are fifth in the league with 32 points from 19 matches. Ferrera took over in April last year after Jan Ceulemans was sacked.
