Seol Ki-Hyeon is the latest player attempting to follow
in the footsteps of Korea's Footballer of the Century,
Cha Bum-Keun who became the first player from Korea to
play in Europe.
After difficulties settling in at Antwerp, Seol impressed
enough to get into the Antwerp first team and when coach
Regi Van Acker left for Lierse he wanted to take Seol with
him. But Seol rejected the offer and signed for Anderlecht
instead.
His International debut for South Korea came on 23
January 2000 and he was also a major figure in the 2002
World Cup
