An injury-time penalty by Simao Sabrosa earned second-placed Benfica a 2-2 draw at bottom club Beira Mar in the Portuguese Premier League on Monday.
Champions Porto, who crushed Vitoria Setubal 5-1 on Friday, are three points clear at the top with 56 from 24 matches. Sporting occupy third position on 52.
Winger Ratinho put Beira Mar in front after a goalmouth scramble in the 23rd minute.
Benfica, who meet Espanyol in their UEFA Cup quarter-final second leg on Thursday, equalised with a long-range shot by substitute Mantorras after 83 minutes.
Beira Mar went back in front when midfielder Delibasic headed in a cross from the left by winger Mateus.
But Benfica levelled again after Simao was fouled and the Portuguese international converted the spot kick.
