Shrewsbury Town have signed striker David Hibbert from Preston North End for a nominal fee.
Hibbert, 21, joined Preston from Port Vale for £150,000 and last season had loan spells at Rotherham and Bradford.
"He′s got all the qualities and capabilities of being a good striker and a good blend for someone like Michael Symes," said boss Gary Peters.
"I tried to get him on loan last season before he went to Rotherham and again later in the season."

Port Vale have completed a triple swoop by signing Oldham pair Paul Edwards and Craig Rocastle, and arranging a loan spell for Wolves defender Keith Lowe.
Lowe, 21, will join Vale next term for the whole season, the fifth time he has been out on loan from Molineux.
The 27-year-old Edwards ended his two-season spell at Oldham by turning down a new contract offer to join Vale.
Rocastle, 25, also makes the move to Vale Park from Oldham, joining the Valiants on a two-year deal.
