Narada Bernard started his career at Tottenham Hotspur and came through the youth team. He moved on to Arsenal after being spotted by Arsene Wenger and formed a good partnership on Arsenal's left flank with Ashley Cole. However, he had his progress halted by forgein imports.

He put on some great displays in the Arsenal reserves and Bournemouth invited him for a trial at Dean Court. He played in the final of the 2000 Combination Cup - which the Cherries won. He left Bournemouth for the summer and tried to impress Reading on a trial at the Madejski Stadium.

Sean O'Driscoll invited him back for the 2000/01 season on a permanent basis giving him a two-year contract. But he missed the chance to try and win a place in the first team after flying head first into a brick wall at Basingstoke in pre season, though luckily he didn't damage himself too much

Unfortunately for Narada in the 2001/02 season he was again hit by injuries and his season was ended in Bournemouth's opening game at The Fitness First Stadium, when he came on as a substitute only to be taken off a few minutes later with ligament damage. He only made nine appearances that year

On Feb 17 2003 Bournemouth told Bernard Narada he would be released in the Summer of 2003 along with team-mates Chukki Eribenne and Amos Foyewa
