Juve midfielder Marco Marchionni sustained a microfracture in his foot and maybe forced to undergo surgery.
The former Parma man was one of the form players in this pre season preparation, however he will not be facing Sunderland in this weekend's friendly.
'During Thursday's training session a hole in the turf caused Marchionni to sprain his left foot and feel terrible pain in the area of the 5th metatarsal,' explained the Bianconeri website.
'This morning's X-Rays said the incomplete fracture of that bone. The player was put in a supportive cast and must now walk with crutches.'
Juve refuse to rule out the requirement for surgery to correct the problem when he returns to Turin with the team Tuesday.
So Marchionni will definitely not be taking on Roy Keane's Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, whilst Mauro German Camoranesi is also expects to be sidelined.
