New Werder Bremen signing Boubacar Sanogo was called up to the Ivory Coast team for next week's friendly against Egypt in Paris, the forward replacing the injured Aruna Dindane.
Sanogo, who moved to Bremen from Hamburg in a 6 million euro deal last month, joins fellow German based players Guy Demel and Steve Gohouri in a return to the team after missing June's African Nations Cup qualifiers against Madagascar.
The 24 year old forward has picked up only one cap for a team where Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou lead the attack and where Olympique Lyon's Abdelkader Keita and Arouna Kone of PSV Eindhoven also struggle for regular action.
Also back in the team named by coach Uli Stielike Friday, is Swiss based midfielder Gilles Yapi Yapo.
Both Egypt and the Ivorians are using the match as preparation for decisive African Nations Cup qualifiers next month.

DR Congo midfielder Tshinyama Tsholola has sealed a transfer to Belgian side Lokeren.
The 26 year old signed a 4 year contract from South African side Ajax Cape Town.
Tsholola has impressed since joining Ajax from TP Mazembe in 2003.
He will join compatriots Marcel Mbayo and Tambwe Diouf at the Belgian 1st division side.
Tsholola's contract with Ajax was only set to expire in June next year.

Belgian international defender Karel Geraerts has made a long-awaited return to Club Brugge KV after joining from R. Standard de Liege on a free transfer.
The 25 year old signed a 5 year deal with the Belgian Cup winners, returning to the Jan Breydel stadium having 1st departed to join KSC Lokeren OV on loan in January 2004.
A lack of 1st team opportunities precipitated that move, and he signed a permanent contract with Standard 6 months later. In 3 years in Liege Geraerts made almost 100 league appearances, winning 12 international caps before opting to return to Club Brugge.
"3 years ago I did not get much playing time however now I have another chance," mentioned the player, who was out of contract at Standard. "This feels like a homecoming."
