Euell is a talented product of the Wimbledon youth system.
He burst on to the Premiership scene in the 1995/96 season. A former England U21 regular - Jason was a valuable member of the Wimbledon squad and notched up an impressive 41 goals in 118 appearances for the Dons
Good in the air and on the ground Euell - like his contemporary Carl Cort, who moved to Newcastle United (click here for our classic rumour on Bobby Robson's m mistake) attracted the attention of a number of scouts but Terry Burton (now sacked) was keen to keep him at Selhurst Park
But after spending a season in the First Division with Wimbledon in 2001/02, Euell was offered a place playing Premiership football again, at Charlton Athletic which he enthusiastically agreed to and Charlton paid a new club record signing fee of 5 million in July 2001
