Euell is a talented product of the Wimbledon youth system.
He burst on to the Premiership scene in the 1995/96 season. A former England U21 regular - Jason was a valuable member of the Wimbledon squad and notched up an impressive 41 goals in 118 appearances for the Dons

Good in the air and on the ground Euell - like his contemporary Carl Cort, who moved to Newcastle United (click here for our classic rumour on Bobby Robson's m mistake) attracted the attention of a number of scouts but Terry Burton (now sacked) was keen to keep him at Selhurst Park

But after spending a season in the First Division with Wimbledon in 2001/02, Euell was offered a place playing Premiership football again, at Charlton Athletic which he enthusiastically agreed to and Charlton paid a new club record signing fee of 5 million in July 2001

A youthful Boro side beat Cumbrian club Carlisle 2-0 in a friendly at Brunton Park.

With Fabio Rochemback and Jason Euell providing the experience in an otherwise callow team, goals either side of the interval secured the win.

Substitute Ben Hutchinson and midfielder Jason Kennedy were the men on the scoresheet.
