Birmingham striker Rowan Vine is tipped to join Hull City on loan ahead of QPR following John Gregory's sacking yesterday.

The out-of-favour hitman is ready to agree a month-long deal in order to play regular first-team football.

Rangers were ready to do the deal but Gregory's dismissal at Loftus Road has put the Tigers in pole position.

Meanwhile, young Birmingham keeper Adam Legzdins has joined Halifax on loan again while Sam Oji will stay at Leyton Orient for another month.

Reserves regular Legzdins, 20, will spend three months at the Shay after playing 11 games for them last season.

Birmingham goalkeeper Adam Legzdins has joined Halifax for a second loan spell.

Legzdins is to spend three months at the Shay following a similar spell in the 2005/06 season when he started 11 games for Chris Wilder's side.

The 20-year-old will challenge Craig Mawson for a starting place and will be in Halifax's squad to face Burton Albion this evening (Tuesday).

Legzdins is yet to make a senior appearance for Birmingham but has been a reserve team regular.

He has also had loan stints with Oldham and Macclesfield.
