Giuseppe is an Italian U-21 international, though he has been asked to play for the country of his birth, the USA, he has opted to play for Italy.

Rossi signed for Manchester United, from Parma, in the summer of 2004 for a small compensation fee (?200,000) as he was yet to sign a professional contract with the Italian club.

Giuseppe scored on his Premier League debut against Sunderland on October 15 2005. Rossi signed a 2 year contract extension on 4 July 2006.
