26 Jan 2014 22:54:41
never going to happen walsall don't spend money on transfer fees

27 Jan 2014 11:19:39
Depends how ambitious Walsall are. Constable would certainly fit the '' Bill ''

27 Jan 2014 12:16:01
He's already played for walsall and wasn't very good, I can't see deano spending a fee for the first time in 15years on a player that has already failed to make the grade at lge1 with walsall

27 Jan 2014 12:19:18
Constable is not a L1 player last time he had a go at playing L1 he wasnt good enough and the same applies now. He's been playing L2 for about four years now and no other clubs have gone in for him which to me tells you no one rates him that much as normally good strikers are sought after and he's not.

We also did pay a fee for him last time, when Merson bought him!

Neilr

Oxford have turned down bids in excess of 250k from both Swindon and Bournemouth in the last 18 Months as he wants to stay with Oxford. If he didn't want to go to them can imagine he would want to go back to Walsall - besides have you got that sort of cash?

Walsall are set to follow that up with a loan move for Flo Cuvelier and the signing of free agent Stephen Elliot who has been on trial at the club.

Bad move, he left us for "glory" to go to the Blades, if he's any good again this half of the season, he'll just leave again.

Jordan Bowery and Benjamin Siegrist will sign for Walsall from Aston Villa on loan when then loan market opens
Lambert is keen for both to get first team experience to develop and Walsall are getting a glowing reputation after loan successes such as Sam Johnstone and Flo Cuvelier

rpetrucco

Whom on earth are Sam Johnstone & Flo Cuvelier! That's far from glowing! Siegrist is a top class young keeper and yes, he does just need some more experience to add to his belt.

dutchvillan

11 Sep 2013 16:15:19
Cuvelier was on the bench at stoke until he was signed by Sheffield United, whilst Sam Johnstone is the 3rd choice keeper at Manchester United. This rumour looks realistic but I don't believe it will happen.

Cuvelier was one of the best players for Walsall last time he was here on Loan. Saved us after we lost Ladesma - luckily Chambers and Mantom are doing well now but we could do with backup.

01 Sep 2013 09:48:01
League one side Walsall are in talks with former Stoke youth team player Adam Vass, who is currently a free agent

Who is currently playing for the Rumanian Champions CFR Cluj. And in the champions league to boot. I doubt if we will see him at the Bescot.

01 Sep 2013 11:02:21
League One Walsall will be signing Julian Gray till January and a striker on loan this week. I have been informed by a person who works at the Bescot.

How are we signing him on loan he is a free agent lol, plus we cannot afford his wages without the Will Grigg money

01 Sep 2013 17:58:45
Read again it says gray AND a loan striker.

01 Sep 2013 23:55:17
No what he's thinking is that gray would be coming on loan till january when infact it would be a short term deal like westcarr's unfortunately renewed contract last year.

01 Sep 2013 02:17:04
Rumours round Elland road is that League one side Walsall are in talks with former Leeds united striker Davide Somma over a possible move to the Banks's stadium

Somma has spent the pre season training with Leeds to regain fitness following an injury last season but will not be offered a new contract

United's former keeper Paul Rachubka has also been linked with a move to the midlands side ( Rachubka was loaned out to Accrington last season )

01 Sep 2013 11:35:32
Doubt it but we could do with another keeper

31 Aug 2013 11:34:26
Walsall set to sign Wolves starlet Liam McAlinden on a 6 month loan deal in order to aid his development. The young striker is highly rated at Wolves, but would need playing time to help break through at Wolves, with Doyle, Sigurdson, Griffiths and Cassidy all currently ahead. KJ hopes to have the deal done within the next 48 hours.

We need a couple of strikers because westcarr and lalkovic are just not good enough, no movement and don't look interested to play for us,

Why would Wolves loan player out to a local and league rival club?

To develop him they sent some players on loan to us before such as david davis and aaron mccarey

We wasn't in the same league then

My mate was at the Fulham reserves game the other night, he said that Macca was absolutely out standing every scout and agent was buzzing on him so we might be loosing him if not tonight then very soon. He scored a hat trick and set up the fourth, he scored against Fulham last time round as well.

{Ed001's Note - McAlinden has been outstanding at youth level for a few seasons now, there has been plentiful interest in him. Wolves have rebuffed a fair few enquiries regarding him since relegation.}

30 Aug 2013 20:12:26
Julian Gray could be a Walsall player before tuesdays JPT game with wolves (talks began on Tuesday between Gray and Walsall) it's rumoured Gray wanted a2 year deal but Walsall will offer him a one with the option of a second in the clubs favour

Gray has been training with the league one side since returning from Cyprus at the beginning of August and has done enough to earn a deal at the saddlers

30 Aug 2013 01:48:36
Nottingham Forest striker Marcus Tudgay is close to agreeing a 3 month loan move to league one side Walsall
Billy Davies wants to send Tudgay out on loan so that he can get valuable first team experience and more importantly goals

Walsall and Forest have close links due to Nottinghams assistant manager David Kelly
keeper Karl Darlow was loaned out to the saddlers last season and the reds have brought Jamie Paterson from the league one side

Valuable first team experience, he's not 18 you know, he signed a 1 year extension in summer, this is more like offloading

29 Aug 2013 01:20:21
Former Hull city and Colchester forward Craig Fagan is in talks with league one side Walsall over a possible move to the Banks's stadium

Fagan was at Bury last season where he played 11 games scoring once (he signed in February until the end of the season)

Worth a chance

We're linked with him every transfer window and nothing ever comes of it.

28 Aug 2013 20:29:45
Doncaster will re-sign James Baxendale from Walsall before Monday's deadline.

No they won't he just signed s new 3 year deal with walsall

Just because he has signed a new contract doesn't mean a club can't go for him, why do people think that if a player signs a new deal they are untouchable contracts mean nothing only that they can play for team for that amount of years if a team came in with a bid of say 5mil then he would be gone

The investment deal as not so much fell thro as more like bramhall and Baldwin don't want it to go thro watch for john ryan leaving very shortly totally fed up with the support he's not getting from the other two there is an ulterior motive in there behaviour and this will come to light very soon only Watson supporting ryan can stop it keepmoat insider

And are Doncaster going to cough up a million +? NO

Does anyone know what gavjn baldwins role is first he tells us the rovers are on a very good financial position we don't need investment then he is saying we can't afford this and that maybe if we got rid of the overpaid plank we could afford the players we need

The supporters must stand behind john ryan and not allow him to leave not yet we all know that bramhall and Baldwin have only their own interests at heart not the club to allow them full control would be a disaster, bring in new investment find the right man to takeover and then J. R can walk away if that is his wish a proud man for what he has achieved but to be driven out by the other two would be very sad. it only takes one bad apple unfortunately we have two

I understand that one of them is on near to a players salary and the other does not like football. let JR get on with running the club and the investment we need.

The whole regime stinks, Baldwin and FD Ferriby are a total waste of time and money, if and when new investment comes in, they will be the first of many to go, there's only one John Ryan Rtid

Why wouldn't he re-sign its his hometown club

It's Still in spotlight there's a battle at club the problem is John must of okeyed all of these people to come in and help the club so y don't we just get behind the team instead of moaning and watch the lads go for it

He would resign if he felt he could not take the club forward in a meaningful way, and that he did not have the full support of the fans. VSC have not been supportive recently I believe.

There is no such thing as the status quo. If we don't move forward, our best players will be picked off and we will go back down. We have to invest and raise our game and attract the fans. Build it and they will come! John has DRFC's best interests at heart. We don't want o risk losing him or his leadership.

DRFC fan here, we have to face reality, we are a league one club with league on players, and league one support, coupled with a very poor manager with no track record at all. We have a great chairman in JR, but a non supportive board (but John did ask these guys to join in the first instance )We also have a very expensive CEO with little idea about football, surely his salary would have been better spent on players, but we keep on supporting our club, because we're would be with without one RTID

According to our esteem CEO Gavin Baldwin we have a great communications team with Shaun Lockwood at the helm, suggest we try and get a decent football team as a priority last two home games we have been outclassed, what a plank Baldwin is

Well this Rtid fan getting disalussioned with what is going on that investment what ever the deal would of kept us up and build for a few years then c what happened but never mind I think the board got to realise now people r not coming to support the team becose we r a league one outfit and in reality end up back there cheers for everything John but that's me done for this season already

Problem with all clubs we bring in people who avent a clue bout football and the passion it brings,, we bring in blaggers who talk a good job who milk there position at clubs,, so looks like another season of loanees to try and keep us up,, we couldn't do it last time want do it this time I just hope the new kid forester is as good everyone making out we mite get a bargain at end of season sale in league one

When will the moaners ever understand that we are a SMALL club and that we have to cut our cloth accordingly.
Yes, we will always struggle at Championship level but instead of moaning about that why not get behind the team instead of staying away.
Enjoy being in the Championship.

Is rovers going to buy anymore in this window or r we going down the loan way again dr board it doesn't work and never will look at other season we av been outclassed all season Wigan was poor first half,, Blackburn are just poor,, Blackpool and Bournemouth where lucky we need to fight for our shirts just feel with wellens looks gud in a poor side

All the speculation in the summer and who was coming and who was taking over I just feel aload of tosh was told to us and the board need now to invest more or we will soon b playing back in league one and below what is the point building this great stadium,, not to fill it I just feel if we ad the investment and the players we could of got 10k a home match

We need new striker, central midfielder, centre half to keep the lads on there toes,, to much pressure on cottrill to deliver the goods I think we need new blood b4 to late

I agree we are short of another striker, fullback, and center half but this is not going to happen. until bramhall comes clean and states the real reason why the investment can't take place well done to the blades and Bournemouth to accept the investment offered we are just the poor boys in a big pond probably Rotherham will take our place in the championship next season so come on bramhall tell the truth as to why you are stopping the club moving forward

No it's BILLY SHARP

Southampton striker Jonathan Forte is to be loaned out again after failing to find a buyer for the Barbados international, Forte has not been given a squad number this season so will just be playing for the under 21's if a loan move can not be found.

League one side Walsall are said to be interested in signing him on loan, the saddlers have tried to sign the striker on loan in the past (January 2012) but failed. League one sides Carlisle and Stevenage are both said to be interested in the striker aswell.

Why don't Saints just pay up his contract and get rid once and for all of this useless specimen, he sure as hell is never going to be good enough for Saints.

Go Forte, for God's sake go.

Please please please we have 6 strikers please stop linking Carlisle with strikers we only play with one as well we don't need that many

Slightly harsh to say he was a useless specimen, all the players played a part in getting us where we are today including J Forte, good luck to him although I thought he had already left. May only have been one game but MK Dons at home rings a bell.

I am going to be controversial. why does jf with all that pace want to be a striker? surely with the right coaching saints could convert him into a winger? He can use both feet unlike puncheon. Why not keep him as a project player and use him in the u21 squad?

Forte is far too old (27) to be a worthwhile "project player. " He will also never have the kind of first touch/ball control needed for the Premier League. I felt he was only marginal for League 1.

Jonathan 'THE FORT' forte is a top block met him down the Albert after a game against Stevenage and he bought me and my mate jimmy a beer each. Sadly though he is not up the prem league standard I think he'd be a star in the Scottish championship. Good luck to 'THE FORT' though. and he's always welcome down me old mans burger van for one of favourites a Bacon bap.

BOB THE BOMBER :-/

Strong rumours in Stoke that former City striker Mamady Sidibe is training with league one side Walsall, in the hope of earning a contract at the league one side. Sidibe was sent out on loan to Tranmere last season, but has suffered from lots of injuries in the past 2-3 years.

According to ssn earlier in the summer Sidibe was training with Scottish League Two side Rangers, but failed to earn a contract at the Scottish giants.

He isn't training with us I spoke to dean smith myself

Haha You spoke to him did you.

Hes a good striker but we need proven goalscorer with a bit more experience like Defoe were linked with too many young strikers. Juan Agudelo (signed) 20, John Guidetti 21 and Henri Saivet 22.

Yeah I spoke to Dean too and he informed me that you haven't spoke to him at all.

Ye the other day and its julian gray who's training with us not sildebe

I'm a Tranmere fan and Sidibe was awful in the games he played for us.

24 Aug 2013 03:03:16

Derby county striker Nathan Tyson (31) is to be loaned out to league one side Walsall until January

Tyson is transfer listed by the rams and does not have a squad number

Another one of those players that looks decent is a strong side but as soon as they move to a side that are struggling their performances dip.

Think Derby ruined him a bit. Would be a good move to get his confidence back in League One.

Derby didn't ruin him. he's just rubbish.

Sorry but it looks like Swindon have bought him!

Looks like blackpool actually

19 Aug 2013 23:22:22
Rumours coming out of Nottingham Forrest that veteran midfielder Jonathan Greening (34) is close to agreeing a loan move to league one side Walsall until january

Greening signed a player/coaching role in the summer at the City ground but has been told it is very unlikely he will be used in first team matches this season by manager Billy Davies

Greening insisted his playing days are far from over, earlier in the summer and still wants to carry on playing "I still feel like I've got a lot to offer. I feel really fit at the moment, I'm getting a good pre-season under my belt, I feel strong. "

18 Aug 2013 18:08:42
League one side Walsall are close to signing former Chelsea youngster Samuel Bangura (18) on a one year deal, Bangura (can play both as a Lm and Rm) has been recommended to Walsall manager Dean Smith by blues reserve team manager Adrian Viveash (ex Walsall player)

I hope they sign him up. Great player watched him play a lot of times

18 Aug 2013 15:54:05
Julian Gray training with Walsall. He was at the Notts game yesterday and comfirmed he is training and is hoping he gets offered a deal by (in his words) the tight chairman.

100% true. that he's here training

19 Aug 2013 13:38:54
And 100% TRUE, the chairman is tight!
