Pompey due to sign young Ipswich defender Matt Clarke on loan today he has been training and playing for Pompey during pre-season while Mick McCarthy sorted out cover for him beforeauthorising the loan deal

20 Jul 2015 20:54:22
Pompey in talks with 18 year old Ipswich defender/ midfielder Matt Clarke over a loan deal

23 Jul 2015 10:15:17
Pointless he's no better than what we have already have, he will only be sat on the bench at best.He will be better off staying at ipswich, he can sit on the bench there!

20 Jul 2015 13:17:22
Rodolph Austin going to Ipswich after the Gold Cup already agreed terms.

10 Jul 2015 10:24:06
West Ham have accepted a bid from Middlesbrough, it's looking like 6m in total with the majority upfront.
Their is thought to be no issues with the negotiations so Middlesbrough are likely to have Downing ready to travel to Marbella next week.
Stuani is in talks (early part of talks) and ipswich are looking at wanting James Husband as part of any deal for Darryl Murphy, so this one might prove awkward but listening to what is being said Karanka feels Stuani and Murphy (both big target men) will play together, so as I said over a month ago, Boro are looking to play with two strikers next season.
Again, just rumours gents but from people close enough to be pretty accurate with it.
Oh and Rudolph Austin has been discussed as the midfield addition, not sure how far that has gone but Karanka wants a holding player to replace Whitehead and sees Austin as a proven player to add competition (for me a great player and an absolute athlete).

10 Jul 2015 14:06:14
Hope the Murphy deal does fall through husband probably scores more in the average season

10 Jul 2015 14:49:05
Haha smogfather, I'm a little concerned about Murphy. Not sure he is a guarantee of goals for 4m and I think Husband is a cracking talent to replace Gorgeous as and when needed.
Hopefully Karanka gets it right, I'm glad the gazette have caught up to my original post this morning about Downing being pretty much done.
I colleague in Burnley rang earlier to say they are looking at Rhodes for 8m.
Interesting stuff if it's right, that would be vossen and Rhodes upfront, we might see how they'd have done for us last season had he signed in January.

10 Jul 2015 14:50:50
Note, husband has never scored more goals than Murphy in any season ever !

10 Jul 2015 19:07:00
You can't really say that about murphy he did score more goals than anyone else in the league playing in a average team tbh if he had service of stewy and albert he would probably take the golden boot by Christmas but 4mil is a gamble at 32 yr old

10 Jul 2015 20:53:54
It was a bit of sarcasm about how bad Murphy is

10 Jul 2015 23:19:28
Murphy isn't bad he's certaonly got a goal in him and like I said with the right service could make a huge difference

11 Jul 2015 07:48:58
Look at his record and average it out he's brutal I think someone younger with pace would be so much better

11 Jul 2015 10:59:42
Middlesbrough inquired about a move for Murphy but the club chose not the follow the interest up. The club certainly didn't bid £4.5m for him and I really doubt that they will go back to Ipswich. Karanka/Bausor have talked to several strikers since May in the hope of luring two in within the next few weeks. both from the championship, Spain and Portugal.

12 Jul 2015 07:29:03
Those backing Murphy really need to take a look at the guys career. That's problem with football these days, 1 decent season means you're a legend.

The guy had a good run, if he does it again and then again you say maybe he's fulfilled a slight but of potential but for me 400k would be too much of a risk in my eyes.

And Vossen has gone to Burnley and Rhodes got stretched off yesterday so I don't think the Vossen/Rhodes partnership is a non starter.

01 Jul 2015 16:28:44
Ipswich have rejected a £4.5m bid from Middlesbrough for Republic of Ireland international Daryl Murphy.

01 Jul 2015 18:27:55
Thank god for that, not worth half of that

01 Jul 2015 18:28:47
I hope so, he isn't worth half that

01 Jul 2015 18:32:51
Is this from the same source as your last gem? Posted 3 days ago :
Downing signs, adomah, Tomlin, kike on way out.

01 Jul 2015 19:03:59
Surely boro wouldn't bid this much and if they did surely ipswich would accept.

01 Jul 2015 19:15:07
Good hope we don't put another one in

01 Jul 2015 20:40:44
Middlesbrough have been linked with him all summer. At 32, and with 1 yr left on his contract Ipswich know they are going to sell him to the highest bidder.
5m + is a hell of a lot for a striker who has had only 1 really impressive season. There are younger, better players out there for less money or on loans. It may take a few more weeks but the market will start to move as everyone will want to bring in more players. Liverpool for example are looking at loans/sales of their fringe players.

01 Jul 2015 20:41:44
They asked about availability, this was done 4 weeks ago and any transfer depended on what Tyrone Mings went for.
They don't need to sell so we move on to Target no 3, Cameron Jerome or Gary Hooper.

01 Jul 2015 21:41:11
Horlicks! £4.5 for a player with a couple of seasons left at most. Last season was a freak year for him. Next year he'll be back to scoring about 10.

01 Jul 2015 22:33:04
Must agree if true Ipswich would take that and he's not worth it sounds desperate if you ask me would have vossen over him all day long

02 Jul 2015 09:44:59
Vossen will not be coming back to Middlesbrough.
Burnley and Celtic want him to lead their front lines next season, we only want him if we can get our main striking target and have money left to buy him.
I would imagine his confidence in game time at Boro next season would not be brilliant.
On a side note, our away kit was released today. Awful, Yellow with Black, shocking kit. I thought those days of awful kits were behind us under Adidas.

02 Jul 2015 10:48:46
4.5 million seems pricey but if he bags 20-30 goals and we get promoted, you will see that it was a great investment. We need goals at Championship level. He will score, his confidence is high and this could turn out to be a great bit of business. None of us know how much of a kitty there is so let's just sit back and enjoy. Karanka is a great manager, with the support of Gibson we are going in the right direction. UTB

02 Jul 2015 12:25:32
The club have not bid £4.5mil for Murphy. It is all paper talk.

02 Jul 2015 16:11:31
Middlesbrough have offered James husband as part of the deal.

02 Jul 2015 20:17:08
I'm bored of this transfer window

03 Jul 2015 05:59:34
Would be a great signing but at 32 and £4.5mil definitely not worth that!

03 Jul 2015 11:39:52
This is true but Ipswich won't sell to a championship rival. They would accept £4.5m from premier league team and Stoke and West Brom have both enquires but won't go above £2.5m

25 Jun 2015 20:59:44
Tyrone Mings to Bournemouth from Ipswich for £8 million with ryan fraser going the opposite way on a season long loan

27 Jun 2015 04:32:35
Club also apparently interested in bringing young lad let go from west brom into the 21's setup. This is him

https://youtu.be/yo-BJZP3Zs8

23 Jun 2015 17:14:02
Spurs will loan American right back DeAndre Yedlin to a Championship club in order to let him play first team football regularly. Derby County, Ipswich Town and Nothingham Forest would be interested in agreeing a loan deal for the defender.

23 Jun 2015 10:43:30
Ipswich towns daryll murphy is linked with a move to Middlesbrough for £1.3million for the 32 year old striker

23 Jun 2015 13:30:39
With premier league teams interested Norwich, WBA and others mentioned, a price tag of £4m, the player publicly saying he doesn't want to move, why would this be believable?

23 Jun 2015 14:32:44
No mention of west brom, Norwich or any other premier leauge clubs and 4mill for a 32 year old player I think you are telling lies

23 Jun 2015 19:11:20
According to the source I've seen we've had a bid of 2.5 rejected, and they want 3 not 4 million and Norwich have distanced themselves. WBA also doubtful. I have seen this in some publications but I certainly don't believe it.

24 Jun 2015 05:47:50
West Brom looking at Ipswich Town's Daryl Murphy?

http://goo.gl/c8UUA8

24 Jun 2015 21:30:58
If Boro sign half the players suggested, they will have a squad of 100.

25 Jun 2015 22:27:15
Ipswich are on brink of bringing in pitman as replacement for Murphy who will be leaving for boro

22 Jun 2015 16:34:29
Darren Pratley is considering a new improved contract offer from Bolton Wanderers after looking likely to join fellow Championship team Ipswich Town.

24 Jun 2015 03:53:54
D P after an improved contract? Half the team (injured) had brilliant contracts last season, chilling out & laughing all the way to the bank!!
If only they had performance related contracts.

22 Jun 2015 16:26:51
Paul Anderson, Noel Hunt and Stephen Hunt are expected to sign new contracts with Ipswich Town when the players return for pre-season training.

20 Jun 2015 16:15:23
Ipswich Town set to complete the signing of Arsenal starlet Gedion Zelalem on a season long loan deal. To be announced on 1 July.

16 Jun 2015 01:20:47
Bristol City possible signings:

GK. Wes Foderingham- Swindle town, 200k (out of contract but will have to battle for him)

LM/ST. Jamie murphy- Sheffield United, 700k (a key player at Sheffield United)

ST. Will grigg- Brentford, 1 million/loan to buy (will have to battle for him)

ST. Matt Smith- Fullham, 800k/loan to buy (a fan favourite at Bristol City, this might persuade him)

GK. Sam Johnstone- Manchester United, loan (good season with Preston)

RWB. Nathan Byrne- Swindle town, 400k (out of contract next year but will have to battle for him)

GK. Lee camp- Bournemouth, 200k (wants game time)

LM. Ross Wallace- Burnley, Free (high wage)

GK. Brian Murphy- QPR, Free (high wage and will have to battle for him)

CM. Darren Ambrose- Ipswich Town, Free (quality signing but is easily injured)

ST. Simon Church- Charlton athletic, Free quality signing but will have to battle for him)

CM. Rudolf Austin- Leeds United, Free (high wage and will have to battle for him)

16 Jun 2015 08:23:27
You will definately not be signing Murphy and Foderingham is coming to us as well, so stop dreaming.

16 Jun 2015 10:49:05
Simon church may be a free signing but that's the only thing that's correct. He is not quality he is clueless. Yes he runs around but has no end product and my four year old daughter could score more goals in a season. League 2 level at best in my opinion

16 Jun 2015 11:48:54
I don't think murphy is a dream player more of a backup keeper to compete with fielding. And Foderingham wants to leave swindle. It's realistic and a possibility

16 Jun 2015 11:50:53
You're right we won't be signing both of couse. Common sense mate

16 Jun 2015 12:42:00
You won't get Johnstone. He's heading pack to PNE.

16 Jun 2015 14:49:25
Murphy is a Left Winger so why would he be in goal, plus he is settled in Sheffield, so actually create sensible rumours rather than being stupid and dreaming?

16 Jun 2015 15:27:39
Murphy is a keeper for qpr

16 Jun 2015 16:11:03
Jamie murphy is deemed to be a league 1 class player and i'd supposedly a "dream player" really? Also there ithis more than one footballer that has the name murphy as a surname.

16 Jun 2015 17:12:51
Still would never leave

29 Jun 2015 12:56:30
Bit late but have to say paying £200k for Foderingham 15 days after he was given a free transfer is a great rumour! Also, think we'd probably give Camp a free transfer (good 'keeper but we have two better ones and some back up) but if you want to give us £200k too up to you!

15 Jun 2015 13:32:40
What bollix.

Bristol Rovers v Luton

Luton are still in the Conference FFS!

15 Jun 2015 13:42:46
Soon find out won't we

15 Jun 2015 13:43:22
These fixtures are not correct I've just spoken to someone within the press office at the football league and they haven't even been finalised yet.

15 Jun 2015 16:27:39
Cheese = Luton in the conference.Glad you are not in charge of the fixtures.

15 Jun 2015 16:46:39
Cheese. How are Luton still in the Conference?.

They finished 8th in League 2 last year!

15 Jun 2015 17:00:42
Ah, just wishful thinking!

15 Jun 2015 17:30:49
C Palace, Millwall and charlton all 3 south london clubs all playing away on the same day meaning all playing at home on the same day. I don't think so.

15 Jun 2015 18:56:16
Whether these fixtures are correct or not, Luton Town are in League 2 (finished 8th last season).

16 Jun 2015 00:33:00
Derby County and Nottingham Forest wouldn't both be playing at home

16 Jun 2015 10:26:48
Conclusively wrong as proven by fixtures

16 Jun 2015 18:25:41
York and exeter won't both be home at same time. The risks of fans clashing would be immense

16 Jun 2015 20:23:07
Very inaccurate.

18 Jun 2015 10:01:08
I'm guessing your were playing a football themed game of 'Pin the Tail o The Donkey' when you posted this????

10 Jun 2015 00:22:18
Rumour here in Bournemouth is we have made a mid for Ipswich town midfielder Cole Skuse, liked the look of him in both games against us this season.

08 Jun 2015 20:00:09
Ipswich Town will announce the signings of Ben Pringle and Darren Pratley on return to pre-season training.

09 Jun 2015 05:17:13
Thats 3 clubs he has signed for now.
Ipswich, Leeds and Fulham.
Who next Bayern Munich?

06 Jun 2015 19:36:32
Stephen Hunt expected to sign for Colchester United on a 6 month contract after being released by Ipswich Town

05 Jun 2015 20:37:23
Pringle has signed for Fulham, will be announced over the weekend. Rejected Ipswich, Bolton & Leeds to join the whites .

06 Jun 2015 10:02:05
Don't know too much about him but he must be alright if a few clubs were in for him!

08 Jun 2015 16:18:37
Still waiting, its Monday now.

08 Jun 2015 22:35:55
Chill bunny rabbit, Ben is on holiday & Rigg returns from a long weekend away on Tuesday, it will be announced soon

08 Jun 2015 23:53:14
Player is away on holiday, announcement should be when he gets back

09 Jun 2015 05:19:57
According to Ipswich he has signed for
them.

09 Jun 2015 13:02:46
Still waiting. lol

09 Jun 2015 18:15:37
Lol, medical lol, Friday lol lol lol

09 Jun 2015 18:37:57
Not saying it won't happen, but if Pringle was away how can he have been at Leeds on Friday, a lot of there fans thought he was going there, a guy where I work is a leeds fan and he was mocking the thread I was reading on the fulham forum. The he was apparently in Ipswich Sunday and MOnday.

He getts around a bit, hopefully he signs but the longer it takes the more sceptical I become

10 Jun 2015 07:26:30
Its like a Soap Opera.
You don't write the scripts for Coronation
Street do you Billy?. lol

10 Jun 2015 08:20:29
I agree with westcliff. We take ages to do anything, we lost out on Jed Wallace because of that!
BUT I personally do think Pringle we be a Fulham player by 1st July

13 Jun 2015 10:21:39
So where is he Billy, signed last weekend you said.lol

15 Jun 2015 10:19:39
Seems as though QPR are now in for Pringle, matched FFC offer and are talking to him personally this week

15 Jun 2015 13:15:04
He's having a medical this minute - don't believe me? Go down to MP now - Lonergan & O'hara are there too.

Cairney will sign in the near future - fee agreed with Blackburn & personal terms agreed.

15 Jun 2015 21:31:13
Tumbleweed.(). (). ().

16 Jun 2015 08:37:02
with your wearethewhitres, I put this on the foffers earlier I am sort of hoping it comes off, but BillyBob has a mixed record some right but a lot wrong of late. No offence Billy Bob just saying it as I see it from the last 2 windows

16 Jun 2015 16:55:18
I think its Maureen Ohara that's there
looking for John Wayne. Pringle hasn't been near the place, he is on holiday.

17 Jun 2015 13:03:45
half way through Wednesday and still no news on any signing. Do they know where MP is? probably not lol

17 Jun 2015 21:30:35
I'm sorry, but I'm not buying this one little bit. As per usual, the Club sits on it's hands whilst others are making moves around us. At the moment, it's about the Pat Roberts show, and where that little so and so is off to.

18 Jun 2015 06:01:46
Billybob, Pringle's medical must be the
longest in History, have they discovered
he is an alien.lol
Where do you dig them up from, he has
never been near Fulham or has any
Intention of signing for them.

18 Jun 2015 22:34:01
It's gone awfully quiet here.

19 Jun 2015 13:53:11
And he's signed today.

22 Jun 2015 22:45:14
Hearing that the Cainey deal has fell over, or that Blackburn have knocked us back.

03 Jun 2015 20:39:59
I'm hearing tonight from my Ipswich source that Ben Pringle is set to be confirmed as Ipswich's first signing of the summer.

My understanding is Mick McCarthy held talks with Pringle before he jetted off to America for his holiday. I'm told Mick had left Ian Milne and Marcus Evans to thrash out a deal, and in the last couple of hours Pringle has agreed to be towns first new signing.

Not to sure when the announcement will be made, but it could well be before the weekend.

31 May 2015 10:01:05
Reading defender Stephen Kelly is a free transfer target for Ipswich and Nottingham Forest.
