17 May 2012 00:42:14
all wolves players who signed contracts with wolves agreed to a 30percent pay cut if relagated,so we really dont need to sell and jez moxley would not sell them cheep but would let them go to rebuild the squad so 4 mil ... i doubt it but jarvis could go because we have good enough wingers in the sqad to get out the championship
17 May 2012 00:38:07
Why would we even want jarvis? He hasnt exactly done the business for however many seasons for wolves. I dont really care who we buy,im more worried about who we let go. Yea,everyone can say they will stay and pledge themselves to saints but if a bigger club with bigger wages come in then the likes of adam, ricky, morgan, jose and jos could all leave. Sucks, but money is evil, and the promise of europe could be all to much. Watch out for that pardew up north!! Bring back papa! He was too quick for league 1 but would probably stay onside in the prem! Plus he always played with a smile on his face.. I seriously doubt saints have any players the top six would be interested in so stop worrying, perhaps a decent season in the prem and Wolves might buy one or two when we return next year. Calm down tong was in cheek for the second part of the post

hi edds, what would the possibility of
fabio cappello being the next liverpool manager.
out of a job and looking for club in the premeire league. personally i think he would be a great candidate for the job.
thanks
jamie the red {Ed013's Note - There is always a chance and I think he would be interested, but something tells me they will go for a current Premier League manager or at least a recent one with experience. You never know though}
16 May 2012 21:25:55
why do celtic fans think there a big club because there in champions league if you stick preston in spl they could get champions league haha {Ed003's Note - You are going a bit to far there } Pne would win the highland league , which is the worst league in the whole world! !

Wolves don't need to sell....we have no debt!
16 May 2012 20:54:11
Nick Powell has allegedly agreed terms with Ipswich according to his friend who I played cricket against in Macclesfield. Apparently he only sees it as a one or two year stepping stone to Premier League. Haha yeah, he has the likes of Man U and Spurs interested in him, why go to Ipswich...?
16 May 2012 20:25:48
I think its prob the right decision to let King Kenny go. It was by mutual consent by the way...... Not Sacked. Kenny has said all along, if he cant make a difference to lfc then he would step aside as he the clubs best interest at heart.
So my choice would have to be Rafa back. I may upset a few of my red compatriots, however my feelings are that we need someone who knows the club and breaths the club, just like Kenny, but with a new generation playing mentality. Rafa certainly had this. He may annoy us with his decisions sometimes but brought in some fantastic players.
Whats your thoughts Reds??

Cabaye of Newcastle has recently apologised for some harsh words to everton midfielder Tim Cahill....
After the whistle had gone... Cabaye made claims to Cahill that Newcastle were a bigger club than Everton. This was followed by the furious reaction of Tim Cahill..
Cabaye has since apologised and retracted his statement.
"I accept my three-match ban," Cahill said in a statement.
"My reaction at the end of the game was out of character but I was disgusted at comments made to me by Cabaye.
"Cabaye has apologised via his club's website and as far as I am concerned, the matter is now closed."
"I would like to apologise for the cross words I exchanged with Tim Cahill, which resulted in his red card and my booking on the final whistle," said the 26-year-old Cabaye

As a Leeds fan, im gutted that Joel Ward has decided to join Ipswich over us. Shame that.
But I trust Warnock has other options lined up! This is nonsense, i am a Pompey fan and I'm best mates with joels cousin, he is making his preperations to return back up to Leeds to sign

Once again the morons have disgraced huiddersfield town,To alan smith if its any consolation they treat their own fans just as badly.a couple of years ago i took a friend to norwich away and because he is a southerner we were constantly harrassed culminating in one of the drunken morons hitting me on the back of the head quite hard.When i jumped up to challenge his behaviour the other 3 drunks joined in .I am 57 years old and have health issues.to the buck toothed person who hit me i look for you at every match with my 2 soldier sons,i have supported town for 48 years but i detest some of the pond life that follow town,I have to say we have many great fans,the morons are a few hundred.come on mr hoyle get rid of them the police know who they are. {Ed013's Note - Lets hope the video evidence bans them for life}

just read that saints are a bigger club than wolves had to laugh really we have got a better ground better fans better fan base n btw jarvis is twice the player than any of your wingers 8 goals in a poor team off the wing is impressive so yeah wolves want 10 mill for him hes got 3 years left on his contract so we can ask what we want for him same with fletcher when wolves was after hooper celtic valued him at 10mill fletcher worth 15 mill then ? Well done for throwing all your stats at us, failed to mention one important stat, we now in the premiere league and your not. All your top players will leave, not saying any will come to us but they will leave. The Championship next season is as tough as it has ever been some very very good teams in that league and i am not to sure you will get promoted straight away.
I thought you was going to win the league wasnt that your thing but didnt reading beat you lol n who cares what league were in if players love the club they will stay west ham newcastle have showed that n anyway we have only got 4 outstanding players kites henno fletch n jarvis fletch tweeted we'll be back kites has said i wanna stop here for the long term n henno said i wanna be back as soon as playing for wolves so i think you should look at facts 1st n btw well do what you couldnt thats win the league
Wolves a big club dream on, I'm laughing all the way to the PREMIER league
Wolves are much bigger than saints , because you drop down it dont change you become a smaller club , look at wolves history then look at saints lol
Oh and to add to my last post....
OP, do you remember this scoreline?
Wolves 0-6 Southampton.
Marek Saganowski hat trick.
I think someone is still a bit hurt at that defeat ;)
Don't think you've seen Lallana and shame you can't fill your small ground with more of your fan base. Btw, which club did the 'saints are a bigger club' poster support?

barnsley will not be relegted next season because i understand tht there will be few good shock signing at the club. i do here 20+ GOAL strikers and 2 box to box midfielders and ex prem goalie who played for man utd. watch this spce No. Just no. Barnsley have very little money and will not be able to attract quality players as they are, quite frankly, a boring and unattractive club...
So Barnsley want Heaton, who was let go off?So do Bristol City and a few other championship clubs.

Everyone saying Southampton should not be interested in League one stars, Look at Jordan Rhodes would be class in the prem, maybe Saints should buy him, give him half a season in the championship on loan somewhere then release him in the prem. People saying league 1 players cant hack prem, look at anthony pilkington he had a class season at norwich straight from the prem, look at alex oxalde chamberlain hes going to ukraine and poland, so people who dont know much about football should keep their comments to themselves. I believe Saints need a few young proven prem players. A winger, a hardman in midfield, a centre back a young goalie to learn from kel then take over in a few years and maybe a right back Good luck your need it next year :)
Will let are football do the talking enjoy league one Yeovil away is nice mr skate

Charlton Midfielder Jet Pritchard is attracting the attention of Fulham. Fulham were impressed with the highly rated player during the 2 sides FA Cup meeting in January.
Sorry who is Jet Pritchard? Last game i went to his name was Bradley! Must of had it changed whilst out in vegas at the weekend!
16 May 2012 12:31:00
Man City a big club don't think so your best player want's to leave for a big team (The agent of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure claims his client would be willing to listen to offers this summer)(Dimitri Seluk has hinted that a return to Barcelona could be a possibility, while he has suggested that approaches from Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid would be considered. Do i detect sour grapes ?
Im a wolves fan this is accually on ssn he would consider a move away but i presume it would only be to someone a broad
16 May 2012 12:24:57
i was in tesco last night with my dad and we bumped into huw jenkins (swansea chairman)who my dad was at school with, they started talking and then swansea transfers came up and he hinted at the possible signings of :
- Sigurdsson- 8m
- simon cox- 2m
- lacina traore-3m
-james collins-3m
-caulker-loan
-bertrand-2m
-michael essien(i know sounds farfetched but he hasnt played much for chelsea recently and brendan has chelsea connections)
-and maybe matt jarvis and marvin emnes!
But he only said will would have to sell a few before we buy my best bet is,
Gower to charlton
moore to leicester
lita to bristol city
dobbie to blackpool
donnely to watford(loan)
and if the jarvis deal happens either Sinclair or routledge will go with aston villa and liverpool interested in sinclair and leicester birmingham and sheffield wednesday interested in routledge !
WATCH THIS SPACE! {Ed025's Note - dot eat cheese before you go to bed mate.... Swansea are set to sign Mark Millar 23,from Falkirk on a pre contract agreement. He is a midfielder,so says the Daily Record

I got up this morning and flicked on sky sports before the off to work. The sunshine was shimmering through the curtains, coffee in hand and Millie Clode summarising recent F1 events – the league tables were scrolling through on the right hand side of the screen, and the Championship showed Southampton in yellow and promoted to Premiership, and Portsmouth in Red relegated to L1 – now as far as good starts to a day goes, it does not get much better than that……COYRs….. Yeah but you aint beat pompey for years thats a good feeling ;)
You lot always thinking of pompey i love that (obessed) :)
I am really gutted we aint beat you in years, in fact i am devastated. Please someone take our promotion away from us and give a win against the Skates.
The funny thing is unless we meet in the cup we wont be playing you for years because your are going down again next year.

Blues bank over £50m
Everton have received almost £50m revenue for this season from the TV deal for Premier League games.
Each year the Premier League break up the £1.2bn TV rights between the 20 top flight teams, with emphasis put on more money for finishing higher up the league, and Everton took £48.9m this season. This figure will be bumped up to over £50m once the FA Cup prize and TV money is taken into account.
From the Premier League, each team receives
£13.7m domestic TV money
£18.7m overseas TV money
£570k for each televised game
£755k for each league position
From the dog.

I posted the Obbadi link to Crystal Palace, it was printed in this mornings L'Express. Yes this evening I am in Yorkshire, i'm an aeronautical powerplant engineer with a well know orange coloured UK airline based in Paris CDG and flew to UK today for 2 days on company business. poster number 2 Troyes is about 90 miles from Paris, I live 40 miles from Troyes and 50 miles from Paris.
I won't bother wasting my time again, you can feed off the usual rubbish {Ed003's Note - Tangerine Airlines ?}

Celtic failed in a bid to sign to sign lech poznan striker Artjoms Rudnevs for 3 million as he opted for hamburg instead. Now Celtic are looking at Blackburn striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni who fits the bill For the new spl champs.

15 May 2012 23:11:32
all the people saying celtics time in champions league will be short lived atleast we can even get IN the champions league nowadays....celtic would be a mid team table in barclays premier league for the first few years while the got comfortable, just remember we were the first british team to win in europe guys Mid table in the prem considering you'll have to start in league 1 if you joined OUR league, just because Scotland has no good football, you would be a playoff championship team AT MOST
Ha the spl is a total joke! Celtic would get done over by most championship teams. You have one good player in hooper, all the rest are average. You are in the champions league, but how long for? Oh yes, that's it, you will get knocked out in the qualifiers (before the group stages) as you do EVERY YEAR! (and then get destroyed in the group stages of the Europa)
You might as well be given an automatic entry into the CL. In fact, i bet your chances of qualification every year are better than any other club in Europe. You won't ever be invited into the epl.
Actually spurs were the first team to win a european trophy, cup winners cup 1963
15 May 2012 22:22:35
My Euro 2012 selection
GK - Hart (obvo there will be others but we hart been so good i couldnt think of any)
RB - Walker / Richards
CB - Lescott / Cahill / Jagelka / Jones
LB - Cole / Baines and possibly Gibbs
RM - Lennon / Walcott / Dyer
CM - Parker / Wilshire / Milner / Gerrard
LM - Young / Johnson / Chamberlain
ST - Rooney / Carroll / Defoe / Sturridge / Welbeck
I know its way to big but that just my draft so all i can say is Glad its not up to me
15 May 2012 22:17:26
I am a Glaswegian Celtic fan, now living outside Paris near Troyes, France. and the local newspaper L'Express reported today that Crystal Palace have made an offer for newly promoted, ESTAC (Troyes) attacking midfielder Mounir Obbadi, who has scored 5 goals this season. It also says they became aware of Obbadi whilst following up on a former Crystal Palace trialist, forward Sébastien Grax, though no offer for him has been lodged...... don't shoot the messenger {Ed013's Note - So why is your IP address from Goole, East Yorkshire!}

After seeing city win the title I think that united need to bring in a few good signings. This would be my transfer targets. I am not saying we should purchase them all and i know they come with high prices but this is whom i think we should look at and i think we should also look at selling or loaning some people out to make space for some of this talent.
*Mat Hummel's - Experience winning titles as he has done it back to back with Dortmund and is already an international
*Jordi Alba - would be a great young replacement for Evra. We need to move in and get this deal done before barca have a chance tho
*Kyle Walker - If spurs dont make champ league then i think we should defo move for him, if not then i think we should leave this spot for Rafeal and Jones as i think they are both great players.
*Kagawa - Another player with back to back experiance with dortmund
*Kroos or Ganso - Ganso tipped to be a huge star and is putting in some great performances at Santos and Kroos already looks like a developed player who could fit into united
*Lucas Moura - Carrying a high price tag from what iv read but if tipped to be the next biggest player to neymar coming out of brazil. He could be out ronaldo who we have not replaced and missed since selling
*robert lewandowski or Wolfswinkel - Didnt really want to name a striker as i think Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez and Berbatov are all quality match winning strikers but if berb is sold we possibly should look into one of these
Also we all know how good of a player Messi is so when a 18yr old is walking round tipped as the next messi (Juan Manuel Iturbe) maybe we should look at bringing him in for a trial and seeing about adding our own messi to the squad. Seems like alot of money but if city are doing it then why shouldnt we
Man united PL champions 2012-2013 season :P

Strikers named for the England Squad? can any one tell me why Graham/holt should not be in the side? or why their preference should be in the side? dont bother with Rooney its a bit obvious that hes no1 even though banned! but theres 4/5 places available Go on Yahoo and watch the Worst Shots of the Season video.
Holt is on there 3 times! We don't want him at the Euros thanks.
Basically even if you play in the premiership on a weekly basis but for a lesser team you stand very little chance of being selected because the managers are afraid of the press and the stick they will receive if that player flops. Pick somebody from a top six club then it doesn't mahtter if they flop, the manager won't get the same criticism. For instance , I couldn,t imagine Danny Welbeck getting anywhere near an England shirt if he played for Norwich. In my opinion one of the best midfielders this season has been Mark Davies of Bolton but do you think he's going to get a look in? no chance.

15 May 2012 20:49:10
Would just like to say well done to Swansea, Norwich & QPR for avoiding relegation from the Premier league this season....well done to all of those people who had that right in their start of season predictions (ED ...I bet there wasn't one!)
I am a Swansea fan and although not as comfortably as they did I was always confident that they could avoid relegation, I also knew that Norwich were a very good side before making some very good acquisitions in the transfer market, I expected QPR to have performed slightly better because of the coin, but they stayed up never the less.
Now for all of those people who feel the urge to make their predictions for next season, most of whom have not known life outside the premier league, or have very short memories and think that their club immediately develop world class pedigree, here is a little tip watch more championship football, it's of my opinion (feel free to agree/disagree) that the bottom ten in the premiership are hardly, if any better than the top ten of the championship and any club coming up will be no pushover, I firmly believe that the three clubs coming up Reading, Southampton & west ham/ Blackpool have more to offer than the clubs that have just gone down (o.k. I think Bolton are better than they have shown but over the season they have been Siht) quite happy that Pratley has gone back to the championship, apparently it was not about the money just wanted a fresh challenge, well that didn't last long did it Darren? Pretty similar with De Vries...it was not about the money (wolves apparently offered four grand a week more) it was down to the fact that wolves were an established Premier league club so he wanted to keep their bench warm? And after watching his last few performances he may struggle to get a game in the Championship even if Hennessey goes!
Well that's enough of my Gloating so as I said Well done to Swansea QPR and Norwich and all of the best to the Three sides coming up, sorry to all west ham fans but I'm rooting for Blackpool!, come on Dobbie do the Bizz, I hope you sign for Blackpool and have a good season in the Premier league, because you deserve it, you know all of the Swansea fans love you but it just haven't happened for you and I don't think anybody knows why? You've always given 110%. Do you want de vries back ? please take him i beg you hes so shakey not convincing at all

the epl is better than spl because of money but the english players that are being produced are not upto much look at the scottish players that go to engerlund and do really well and the players from spl that do well in england.example jelavic is banging the goals in hooper was a better goalscorer than him, fletcher,di canio, arteta, mcfadden etc.epl not that great compared to spain, italy, germany, france. Chris Killen was rubbish at Oldham in League one and ended up at Celtic. Chris Porter scored a lot in League one and the SPL, but couldn't do it for Derby in the Championship. The SPL is probably on a par with league one.
You are right about chris killen. he could not get a game at celtic and got pumped out the door.
Francis Jeffers never got a goal for Rangers. And was a ex England international.Vaz Tae got 1 goal in 10 starts for Hibs.

Although the Oxford support is split over Wilder there is no chance of him going anywhere! The board admit they cannot afford to get rid of him and they don't want to anyway. The are confident that he will ensure they will stay in League Two. He will however have to try and work wonders in the transfer market as very few funds are available. They are trying to keep as much cash as possible because they are aware that another drop into the Blue Square will all but finish the club. Although they won't admit it yet to the supporters but if they don't stay up there will be very little chance of bouncing back for a long time. If they go down again there will be very little prospect of retaining many senior players.

Watford manager Sean Dyche is planning an optimistic summer as he attempts to bring up the attacking force needed to fire the Hornets in to the play offs.
Dyche's list:
Michael Kightly, Wolves, free transfer
George Boyd, Peterborough, 1.25m
Heidar Helguson, QPR, £300,000k
Tommy Smith, QPR, £750,000k
Outs:
Troy Deeney, Milwall, £800,000 Haha this so makes me laugh, Watford have no money & why would these plays leave there current teams for Watford even Boyd at Peterborough would be a sidewise step at best.
Lets get this straight. youre suggesting we buy 3 possible wingers? that makes no snese spending the money youre suggesting and we dont have it. helguson and smith are realistic but smith will not be 750k. as for troy deeney he is not going to millwall. this is an old rumour from last summer and no manager would buy a player whos going to appear in court within the next 6 months and definately get jailed. the only person definately leaving watford this summer at the moment is adrian marriappa

it is going to be so hard for premier league teams to compete for the title as man city's financial power is insane. The likes of Arsenal and Man Utd just cannot compete anymore.
Arsenal's bench is worth 15 mil
man city next season will have probably 180mil on the bench

Joe Lewis to Cardiff City FC on free transfer as Tom Heaton is leaving for Sheffield Wednesday for £650,000.
Malky could also sign O'Brien from Barnsley as he needs a player with pace (£750,000).
That's all City are going to get this summer.
OUTs
Keinen
Quinn
Naylor (Malky looking for loan replacement, possibly Rose from Spurs)
EarnshawSadly we have to endure another painful season with a goal scorer that doesn't actually score (Miller), expect the Bluebirds to finish Mid-Table. You missed Whittingham in talks with Reading.
He was promised he can leave for a Prem club if an offer comes in, so there's little chance he will be at scummy Cardiff next season.
Norwich also interested.
O,Brien got no pace
O.Brien out of contract been offered 2yr deal but yet to sign so free not £750k
If Cardiff sign Lewis there's only one way they will be going & that's league one, he's shocking trust me (Posh Fan) he's the last keeper u want Cardiff fans I wunt wish him on on.

southampton got lucky this season just like reading
but next season you will see how a
title should be won because leicester
are going to win the league in style
i predict that it will almost be over by
christmas and saints fans you are
going down becasue lambert is going
to wigan for 5.5 mill ha ha ha How did we (Reading) get lucky? Our defence was solid all season and we went on a ridiculous run that simply won us the league. Southampton didn't get lucky either they were up there all season and both of us deserved promotion. As for Leicester.. We heard all this last season when you got your money, all of you were saying you were going to walk the league and you didn't even get playoffs. Embarrassing really. So I would save yourself from any further embarrassment and get a reality check fast, Leicester will always be a boring, mid table championship side. We'll give you a wave on MOTD though hahah URZ
Just like you were going to
win the league this seson
spend as much as you
like better teams in
the championship
than the crisp boys
Didn,t we have very similar posts 12 months agoLOL
I always thought minimouse was OTT with some foxes fans, but he has been proved right again.....you my friend fell out of the plonker tree and hit every branch on the way down...Reading won the title fair and square and we on the South coast are ecstatic we are back in the prem...enjoy the championship over the next decade.....COYRs
Haha your going down both of you
You ll still be in the
championship in five
years time
enjoy it you found
your level
Obviously you have a very poor memory my friend, all this TALK was spouted at the start of the season and here we are now and you are nowhere and thats exactly where you will be this time next year...... dream on my friend dream on

Bristol city WILL sign tom heaton as we only have 1 goalkeeper. We will also battle it out with derby for the signature of Paul Dixon. City will get him because he will be guarenteed 1st team footy. we will go for mcmanus 650k, lafferty 700k. murray davidson 1m, and sandaza 1.1m.
And to whoever says bristol city have no money are fools, we are fairly wealthy, and if we werent we wouldnt be tying to build a 30,000+ seater stadium.
Also intested in matt jacobs, amougou and dj cambell. With signings like that, City are sure to go down next season.
'Trying to build'
Couldnt secure a loan ?
Lafferty ?! Heaton ?!
No chance relegation fodder

Spurs fan here
Interesting reading the report below about Defoe going to Stoke. Heard exactly the same at WHL yesterday from a reliable source. Was set to join on loan with a permanent deal to follow in January until the Loic Remy deal to us fell through.
Defoe has spoken about Harry blocking the move himself. Be sad to see him go but him and Crouch will be
good for Stoke

Wilbraham has been offered 1 more year by Norwich and is likely to accept, turning down 2 year offers from other clubs - including Leeds and Sheff Utd.
Elliot Ward has activated a clause in his contract to give another year as he has played over 20 games this season. Therefore he too will stay.

to all the Bolton, Blackburn,Wolves and Cardiff fans who've posted rubbish about the mighty R'ssss, enjoy life in the championship next season, don't think well be seeing any of you again too soon.....ha.... To be fair I don't think it's Bolton, Wolves or Blackburn fans giving it the big one. Mostly bitter championship team fans and certain others who hate seeing teams do well, but from the amount of grief we get I can understand why you posted!! U'RS
I agree Im a Wolves fan and wish you every success next season, hope to play you the season after in the prem of course. Dont expect much from the refs though
Im gutted that bolton went down rather qpr just so i could laugh when they have to sell most of the team

Ricardo Fuller is coming towards the end of his career and looking to finish of it off with a challenge at championship side peterborough united for a fee within the region of £1,000,000 Lol. Posh aren't signing Anyone over 26 chairmans rules and we couldn't afford his wages either!
14 May 2012 11:57:27
Bristol city fan who posted that u will sign morison. You must have same virus leeds fans. They think they can take players from prem to play in championship, only teams that could do that are wolves, leicester becuse they have lots cash. So get real. Wolves haven't got "lots of cash". They had the second lowest wage bill in the PL and now need to cut that to comply with the new Fair Play ruling that starts from next season.
Leicester even more so.
Fair Play Rules means wage caps. So as long as teams can afford 20k a week (which i'm not saying we can) Its a level playing field financial wise.
TeejLUFC
The only way I could see Morison at Leeds is if we did a swap for Snoddy. Much prefer to keep Snoddy tho
14 May 2012 11:50:07

Leeds won't be signing Paddy Kenny in the summer as Mark Hughes is happy with the irish keeper as his number 1. Players on Warnock's list are as follows;
Paul Green, Derby, free transfer
Shaun Derry, QPR, £400,000
DJ Campbell, QPR, LOAN season long
Clint Hill, QPR, £500,000
Paddy McCarthy, Crystal Palace, 1m
Michael Tonge, Stoke, LOAN season long
Darius Henderson, Milwall, 1m If he was happy with Paddy he should be elated with Hill & Derry both played amazing this season when everyone assumed they would be first out of the door (welcome back from earlier in the season Clint lol)
Paddy Kenny is ENGLISH!
Born Halifax!
Dear me!
He qualifies to play for Ireland and has made 7 appearances for them.

"Reading still don't stand a chance in the prem"
Just like they said in the 2006/07 season where we finished 8th :P When we got 106 points and were arguably the best side ever to get promoted. we are going to struggle and you're going to need to be ready to get behind the lads when we do
Reading will struggle, they didn't score that many goals in the Championship. Will need some new strikers/midfielders to improve the attack.
We take no responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of published banter.
