Barnsley have been in contact with QPR and Mark Hughes in regards to a loan deal for defender Bradley Orr until the end of the season. Hughes could see this as a good move for Orr who hasn't established himself in the R's first team since the Promotion Campaign last season.

Nick Montgomery will not be joining Barnsley as Keith Hill is hoping for the deal to sign Leyton Orient's club captain Stephen Dawson to come to fruition before the end of the current window. Keith Hill is also looking to next season by keeping tabs on out of favour Manchester City pair Gai Assulin and Michael Johnson. The 2 trialists who Barnsley are currently running the rule over will, unfortunately, not be offered contracts with the South Yorkshire outfit.
