You sold Leonardo Ulloa for £8 million, Liam Briductt was sold for £3 million and Ashley Barnes was sold for around £1 million. Why would the chairman need the money? You have not spent a lot this summer, Aaron Hughes was a free agent and Chris O'Grady and David Stockdale cost £1.5 million between them

Looks like a few clubs made moves for players I mentioned last time - shows how cut-throat the business is.

However, Blackpool are to trial Andover Town duo Ike Robertson and Mike Dixon after recommendations from Phil Babb and Chris Whyte and also Mole Valley SCR striker Michael Campbell.

Blackpool will offer a 1 season deal to each player if they impress.

Brighton have offered more wages to Adam Clayton seems Boro not prepared to match his wage demands, he is a good solid midfielder however I still think we do not need him as we have those positions filled Smallwood to come in also, I would save the money personally but AK knows what kind of squad he needs to have a push for promotion

Hi All,

Liverpool fan venturing on to the Swansea page for the first time, please don't bite (I won't tell you I live in Cardiff).

Rumours are flying about Vorm's move to Spurs and alleged money owed to his previous club.

Apparently Huw Jenkins has told them that Vorm was sold "for free".

It looks from the outside (I understand that this may be wholly wrong) that Swansea have sold Vorm for free and charged more for Ben Davies in an attempt to avoid paying the fee to Utecht. (I remember some persons suggesting that Liverpool should do the same with Lallana/Lambert)

What is the position if it turns out that this has happened? Are there rules against it, or is it simply bad sportsmanship?

Also, is this the case or is it all just newspaper tittle tattle?

Cheers in advance for the responses.

St ledger coming in when he's proved his fitness got majeski, holmes ward n coady plus lolley that can play cam. Its not about spending transfer fees its about running a club to ffp n hoyle n bobbins have brought in some excellent players this year n only spent 375k on coady.

I know for a fact that Sean St Ledger will sign before the start of the season, Unless the Butterfield goes through, Adam Clayton will not be sold, until MR has got another midfielder lined up. A striker will be brought in on loan for cover for James Vaughan, no mention of a LB

AFC Wimbledon have made an short term loan offer to transfer-listed Gillingham defender Adam Barrett.
The Dons are looking for a replacement at centre back, just for the start of the season, after Andy Frampton has been ruled out for at least 6 weeks with a broken ankle. Barrett appears the ideal replacement and after being transfer-listed after loyal service that has seen him captaining the Gills over the past two seasons, including leading them to the League Two title, it looks like he is now on his way out of the club.
Gillingham have said that the player will now decide whether he wants to drop down a division for a short term spell at the League Two side.

Also AFC Wimbledon are yet to make a final decision on trialist Callum Kennedy. They are in the market for a left back and have had the player, who they released just months ago, on trial over the pre-season. Dons' boss Neal Ardley has said that he has been impressed with the player's performances, and it looks likely he will sign on for one more season at the Kingston-based side.

Would like to see us sign Jean C Bahebaek as he has been in form in pre season with PSG. Scoring twice while playing alongside Ibrahimovic who in the same game scored a hat-trick. Would also like Nick Powell join on loan as he would create chances for the team. Looking forward to the new season, I think its going to b a good one for Addicks fans. let's get behind Mr Duchalet, Bob Peeters and the lads. COME. ON. YOU. ADDICKS

My personal opinion on the players that Manchester United could potentially sell

Nani- When he has been given a run in the team, he has looked a good player, in 2010-11 season his goals from midfield were crucial and he started the 2011-12 season off brilliantly with goals against Chelsea and Arsenal. He has struggled in the last two years, but until his red card that never was against Madrid in 2012-13 he was the best player on the pitch and created our goal. Nani has never been given a serious run in the team, unlike Young, Cleverley and Welbeck who have never looked like producing in a United shirt.

Tom Cleverley- Definitely sell, we have a lot of home-grown players to comply with FA rules, so we don't need to keep him. He never looks like creating a goal and consistently passes backwards, when he passes forward, his passes are usually inaccurate. Compared to Kagawa and Nani, I don't understand how he got his chance in the United XI.

Maourane Fellaini- Definitely sell. A David Moyes panic buy, no use at Old Trafford, he can't play in his preferred position because there are six better options and he is clueless defensively. Fergie made 104 buys as United manager and not one was as worse as the Belgian. If I was LVG, I would get the best price possible and invest in a player like Vidal, but perhaps won't get him.

Shinji Kagawa- Keep, looked a great player at Borussia Dortmund and showed promising signs of maintaining those standards in his first campaign at United, in particular the great hat-trick against Norwich. If fans judge him on one bad season under a manager that he was consistently played out of position or on the bench and want him sold, then there is a case for every player with the exceptions of Wayne Rooney, Adnan Januzaj and David de Gea.

Javier Hernandez- Would definitely keep at the club, fantastic finisher, great predatory instinct. He was a bargain at £8m and repaid that sum back instantly with 18 goals in his first season. He is a great player to have in the squad and any manager in world football would be a complete fool if they did not want Hernandez in their side. I would understand why he would want to leave, and has always given his best whenever he has played. Fantastic attitude and it still staggers me how Welbeck gets picked over him.

Anderson- Hampered by injuries, but given a decent run in the side, he can hit the heights of what was first expected when he first joined us. He will be better off for his injury experiences and I personally believe he is better than both Cleverley and Fellaini. Keep for now and give him a chance this season.

Ashley Young- Showed promise in pre-season, but he now knows he has to prove himself because he was pretty much guaranteed a place in the squad if he was fit enough under the previous British managers. I am undecided, if a good offer came in I would accept the deal and wish him well, but I just believe in the past few years he has been lazy.

What are your ideas? Post underneath please. I would like to hear thoughts from everyone. I know I missed players like Zaha, Evans, Smalling and Welbeck, but I presume they will all stay.

All you have to do is flick through the previous in the transfer page for Fulham to see my accuracy, for example, McCormack joining, Stockdale leaving, Taggart joining, negotiations with Kramaric sorted but changes in the McCormack transfer meant we went back to plan A, Stafylidis joining on loan, Chihi joining and Kasami going to Olympiakos.

However, Fulham have kept stuff impressively tight lipped, Voser, Hutchinson, Eisfeld and Bodurov coming from under the radar.

Fulham rumours appointing Chris Hughton as their Director of Football were just rumours.

Fulham are looking to bulk numbers in midfield, possibly two coming in to finish off their summer business and have already had German youngster, Dino Fazlic, on loan whilst in Austria. Fulham did have small links to Andy King of Leicester and Oliver Norwood of Huddersfield, however, that's died down.

Updates pending.

After the signing of Bodruv the defender I think our defence is quite solid now maybe Magath looking to add 1 more for more depth after such a poor defensive record last year. We have 7 strikers; McCormack, Woodrow, Rodagella, Taagart, Dembele, mitroglou and Trotta. I seem to think that the attacking area is very strong! One area that isn't as strong is our midfield we need at least 2 centre midfielders and possibly a wide man after Dejagah left the club. In centre midfield is possibly our weakest area it's never been as strong since Murphy and Dembele were in the middle! At the moment we have Parker, Tunnicliffe, David, Hyndman, christen. We need two more centre midfield players, like Lansbury, Norwood any more?

Boro have made a move for Aston Villa Right Back Matthew Lowton. It is believed that we are also in the market for a second Right Back despite signing Emilio Nsue who is more at home as an Orthodox Right Midfielder, Winger or Wing Back. Could prove to be an excellent buy. Its all looking good at the moment. There is nothing to suggest that Adomah is on is way. Boro are strengthening not weakening. Well done Gibbo for backing Karanka!

The jelle vossen move is still wide open. No one knows what will happen. Boro have reportedly made a renewed offer which matches their asking price of £5m.
