Liverpool are looking to tie up deals for Mohammed Diame and David Hoilett this week, both players are free agents next month. Liverpool are looking to clear a number of players off their wage bill Alberto Aquilani,Dirk Kuyt,Jay Spearing,Fabio Aurelio,Dani Pacheco,Brad Jones,Maxi Rodriguez and Nathan Eccleston look set to leave the club. Joe Cole may yet have a future at the club Daglish wants to see how he does pre–season. Kenny is due for talks with John Henry and Co. next week over his future and to discuss what happened during the season, next seasons transfer budget and targets etc.. Ciaran Clark of Aston Villa is another surprise target for Liverpool while they will also look to add a back up striker next year, Gary Hooper and Jermaine Defoe are being considered. Liverpool may be looking to strenghten but no offence to the players mentioned they are good in their own right just not world class and while Liverpool sign the likes of Diame,Hoilett,Clark,Hooper all the other big clubs will be signing top talent like Podolski,Hazard,M'Vila,Cavani etc. the club will fall further behind if we don't splash on the best players we can get without CL football.

(0)
(2)

Why would Hoilett go to Liverpool. A mid table side without suarez. And he will be off this summer. Liverpool a few years ago could attract big players and get CL football not anymore. There not a big club and sooner you see this the better. You have a rubbish manager and pay stupid money for average players. Plus it's been over the papers you don't have any money to spend.

Following their dramatic survival in the premier league, QPR are looking to conclude deals for loanees Taye Taiwo and Samba Diakite from AC Milan and Nancy respectively. The pair are believed to have clauses in the loan deals which would allow them to join the club permanently for a fee of around 4million each. Mark Hughes is also believed to want a Goalkeeper with the most likely options being Craig Gordon from Sunderland or Allan Mcgregor from Rangers.

13 May 2012 21:44:55
Derby have lost the race for Heidar Helguson, it is believed that Watford will win the race landing him on a 2 year deal for a fee of £300,000.

Kyle Lafferty is being lined up by the Rams boss Nigel Clough but Derby will face strong competetion from Blackburn, Bolton, and Ipswich. Its believed that the Rams could fall short as they can't compete financially with the 3 clubs mentioned.

Other targets for the Rams are Michael Jacobs, Tommy Smith (though Leeds have shown an interest).

I think luarence bassini will give Sean dyche a good amount of money for when the transfer window opens because of the large amount of money we've made from players and I've heard that we've got 4 players I'm the pipeline
Watford possible signings:
Tomasz kuszack(free)
James Collins (free)
Tommy smith(1 million)
Barnard(if Collins dosnt sign)
Joel ward(500,000)
Plus I heard that we will get 1 million pounds for sordell who left but since Bolton hot relgatef it's in the clause for them to give the money + adrain mariappa is likely to leave Watford for Newcastle {Ed003's Note – Cheers,Mr Pipeline }

Michael Jacobs, Northampton (in pole position for him)
Fegor Ogude, Valarenga (we sent scouts to watch him, 50/50 with him)

karleigh osbourne, brentford (i feel forest or charlton will snap him up)
sammy clingan, coventry? (his wage may be too high for us)
paul dixon (we're interested but bristol city in pole)

AFC Bournemouth have signed their first player of the summer with Jamal Bajandouh joining the club from Southern Division One South & West club Wimborne Town. 19 year old Jamal Bajandouh was born in Bournemouth but joined Wimborne Town in February after playing in Saudi Arabia. While awaiting international clearance to sign for Wimborne, Jamal trained with the Cherries youth team and has now joined the club with a view to play for the new development side, which is being created to bridge the gap between the youth team and the first team

This is a message to All Blackburn fans from a Liverpool fan. What has materialised this year by your club owners and your manager is despicable. A manager who must have had a big bump on his head at the start of the season, when making comments "we are good enough to make a top 6 finish, and maybe challenge for CL" what a complete ...., no wonder the supporters are so against him. His interviews are so far away from what it actually is, he must be up for an Oscar. And to be owned by a family of chickens, could it get any worse. Maybe with new owners and manager, you will be back, GOOD LUCK.

(1)
(0)

.....or perhaps GOOD CLUCK is more appropriate.

This is to the first Liverpool fan
From a sunderland fan. Your manager is a joke your living in the past your no longer a top 4 team more like mid table.you can't attract big players anymore you have no more money to spend without selling due to your joke of a managers spending spree. So that will be Suarez off then and without him you don't score. I predict lower table for you next season.

(0)

No chance mate.Hooper has said himself he is looking forward to Champions Lge next season.Celtic turned down more money than that for him in January from Southampton so why would they take less now.Especially after his performance today, probably valued about the £8m mark anyway

Jungle Bhoy..

13 May 2012 19:01:22
Shocking reports are coming out of Norwich City that there may be 2/3 players in the Leeds squad who Paul Lambert doesn't want to add to his playing squad. Having made it public he wants to recruit the entire first team squad at Leeds, Lambert has now said he isn't currently looking at Paul Rachubka as a possible goalkeeping option, but would love to bring him to the club as a member of his backroom team.

With Wolves relegated, a host of Premier League clubs will be interested in their key men. Reading FC have been linked strongly with former fans' favourites Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt, as well as highly rated winger Matthew Jarvis. The two clubs are in talks over Kevin Doyle with the few in the region of £3 million. Reading look like favourites to snap up the very much sort after midfielder Jarvis, with prospective owner Anton Zingarevich looking to splash up to £6 million to ensure the player makes his way to the Madejski for the 2012/13 season in which Reading are aiming for a respectable league position with their newly bolstered squad.

Ryan Conolly
Connor doyle(loan)
Callum ball(loan)
Mark Obiren(loan)

Miles Addison is a Possibiltity because
he has been offered a cut price
contract but is yet to make his
decision.

Chris maguires loan to portsmouth was
a chance for him to show what he
had to offer and hopefully attract some
clubs as you can tell nigel feels it
wasnt the signing he thought.

Obrien will Be going out loan as Even
though it was fantastic for derby
county to showcase their youngsters
last year e.g Bennet,Thomas, there
should be a hint of embarassment
for some of the players when Bennett
got a starting place in a competive
league match ahead of alot older
players. So if derby do go up and with
these signings Play offs should
Definatley be a target. If we didnt buy
Anyone and went up last year and
you were 2–1 down to stoke and
needed a goal we only have 15–16
year olds to call upon

Leeds' talks with Varney were only preliminary, whereas Ward is rumoured to be in negotiations over a contract, with a fee having already been agreed with Portsmouth for his services. Ipswich have also agreed this fee, so it's coming down to who offers the player the best path to the Premier League. New rumours surfacing that it could have been Aidan White, the young winger, who requested wages of 15k–a–week. If so: a) my opinion of him has dropped significantly and b) Adam Clayton has been treated very harshly. Leeds gave White the chance, now he should repay the favour, even if he only signs a short extension.

Former Norwich City legend Darren Huckerby is set to train with Colchester united with talks of becoming a player/Coach. Huckerby impressed Colchesters staff on Saturdays event. He will bring a new level to Colchesters coaching staff helping the youngsters who have just been promoted to the 1st team.

In other Norwich related news Kyle Naughton may not resign for Norwich so instead Norwich look to prise Gunter away from Notts forest.

Meanwhile Ipswich are finding squad improvements to be hard with youngsters turning down contracts and players being snatched from there path.

Back with Colchester as they look to sign Braintree trio Reason, Thomas & Davies, for a combined 175k

Now the rules have changed we will beable to take young players all over country. Before the change some L2 clubs had much bigger area to pick boys from. Now we are on a level playing field we can go back to how we used to turn out young players at norwich. We might go down nx season, one thing for sure how when we do drop leeds still be there. And to wolves fan , hope u injoy your trip to leeds nx season. I dont expect your stay in 2nd tier to last to long .looking forwad to going back watch to watch norwich at wba & aston villa.

Besides the fact that trying to read your post was equivalent to deciphering the da vinci code. I'm sick of the idiotic comments that seem to believe we have no chance of going up. Fair enough if you knew what our team is going to be like, but we don't even have a team at the moment to comment on. You will be eating your words come May.

TeejLUFC

Yea but you still have a poor youth set up and Leeds is 1 of the best and you still haven't won a top league tital and even won the FA cup or played in Europe, but still were a small club with a bigger fan base than you, you can laugh at us but your club came down to league 1 swell and your club hasn't really achieved much really at the top level your just there to make the numbers up

Your just a team full of leeds players. SAD MAN!! mot4life

I love the fact that supporters of other teams call us Saints a small club! I think you might find we are in fact one of the richest clubs in Europe if not the world! However the club is careful about how it operates now. Whether we stay up or go down we will enjoy the ride. We deserve it after the sxxt we have put up with over the last 7 years and the stick from that skint jealous lot down the road. COYR!!

(7)
(2)

Haha that made me laugh lol you worry what people right on here a page on the internet you need to get out more mate

Rich doesn't mean your a big club.

Reading's new owners in waiting make the club 9th richest in the world, yet they don't think they're a big club.

In fact they admit they could become a big club, as Saints hope to do as well.

Stop getting above yourselves. Saints are a nothing club that hung around like a bad smell in the top flight for a good while, is all.

Rich doesnt make you a big club

Sounds like a lot of sour grapes to me

as an fellow Ipswich fan I think Leeds are going to really going to tick every club off because of the players they are buying!
For example I January pearce and ward were done deals but the personal details were a stumbling block. 4 months on pearce has signed for leeds and ward is very close to doing tht aswell.

This shows we can't compete with teams like Leeds on
wage demands which shows alot in the club not being ambitious enough!

Sadly I think Ipswich will be at te bottom half or the table like always!
Lastly SACK PAUL JEWELL

(0)
(0)

I don't think you know our chairman if you think this is the case haha

The only thing that now plays into Leeds' hands is the new fair play rules. Due to capping wages at 20k per player means that we can beat most teams in the league to players due to our facilities and heritage etc and i dont mean that in a we are bigger than you speech, just that in comparison to most teams in the league we have been in the top division for longer and capitalised on making ourselves a renowned club in English football.

It has nothing to do with wages, trust me 100%.

TeejLUFC

We have had our transfer troubles as well, other clubs hijacking our targets and other clubs taking our best players, we was after stockdale and boywer last season but your club snatched them but that's the way it goes, its a right pain just to left with the scraps, just now things are looking up at Leeds now coz we have warnock and love him or hate him he is an honest man and a brilliant record at the level and having a big transformation at Leeds so it looks interesting to other players, if jewell did they same I'm sure he could get the targets

Look at the size of the populations, dee da is small small. Leeds is the second biggest City outside London with the worldwide fan base.

(3)
(2)

And you still can't fill your ground so what's that say about your fans with all this so called worldwide fan base

No it isn't, far from it in fact!!

Accually birmingham is thats why its called the 2nd city :-s n wolves got a bigger fan base than you

Yeh that's right Wolves have a bigger fan base than us what a horrendous comment. The year we got relegated our average attendance was 36,666, two thousand less than eventual winners Arsenal. Also prior to that we have always been in the top 5 supported clubs averaging around 40 thousand a year before relegation. Furthermore this year we averaged 24 thousand, in a very poor year, and wolves averaged 25 thousand in the premiership.

TeejLUFC

Birmingham dwarfs leeds and im sure liverpool and manchester are bigger.huddersfield is certainly more important as the home of the first league treble team.birthplace of rugby league and home of harold wilson.and a good chippy.

Leicester, Southampton, Reading and Ipswich are all battling it out to sign every player in British football regardless of cost to the club in terms of wages. Any players not signed by these four clubs will be signed by Charlton.

Some players signing for more than one of the clubs.

This rumour is something Ive established by reading the posts on here so they must be true.

Also many clubs to spend silly money on average players.

Right as we all know Carlos Cuellar and Emile Heskey are leaving so.... Replacements.

Defensively unfortunately I think we will get Scott Dann. Big Eck will definitely put a bid in. I also feel we need a quick yet solid full back. Someone like Wayne Bridge.

Midfield, we already have about 10 midfielders, 60% are kids. We obviously won't see Stiliyan Petrov next season. So we need some experienced heads with quality. Niko Kranjcar will be a good buy. Junior Hoilett will be a steel, but there will be stiff competition for him.

Strikers. Well we simply are not good enough at the moment. My shout will be Yakubu, a goalscorer! I also think Jermain Defoe will be a brilliant buy. He hardly plays for Spurs. Will he want to come to Villa though?? Robbie Keane was awesome for us during his short spell. Sign him up if we can.

To put rumour into truth, I've been analysing those about Peterborough United's Paul Taylor. I cannot confirm that Personal terms will be agreed, but there's been an enquiry from Leeds United. Paul Taylor valued at around 1.75million but with a year left could see him move to Elland Road for a fee in the region of 1.5million. As a scout of Leeds United I have attended 6 games at London Road including the home and away legs against Leeds. Another player on Leeds United's radar is George Boyd who is a hot target for us, where interest has been declared. Any Queeries do respond.

Hi Ed

Update on TSI takeover of Reading.

Daily Mail have been putting an article together for a week and it is in tomorrows paper, online right now.

Anton Zingarevich is the sole investor.
Chris Samuelson will be a director.
Andrew Obolensky is the nephew of a prince is also a director.

Samuelson admits AZ's father Boris Zingarevich, a billionaire business man, will provide investment if required.

BUT

Reading will remain a prudently ran football club. They appreciate the Fair Play rules coming in which will make football far more competitive, and see Stoke as the ideal template to follow – not buying the league like Man City or acting foolishly like QPR.

It may still be weeks away, it's all down to the PL now, but will go through shortly.

Ed what is your problem with grant holt, he is better player than that rangers reject everton brought. As for him moving to southampton, who ever psted it must be drunk. Coys seems to beable to post non fantasy what s shame rest of them cant. Next time saints fans rip in to porstmouth about money they owe to local firms. Remember u did the same thing, u were lucky to
Find a good man who did right thing. Had he not come along you would be no diffrent to portsmouth. They will be back. {Ed013's Note – I haven't got a problem with him, he isn't worth that much that's all! Norwich would be laughing all the way to the bank with that amount. Very good player though}

That's Norwich for you 1 good season and they think there a big club 2 more years there be back to there normal 14 15000 crowds and you won't here anymore from them

Really, players Leeds that graduated from the academy: Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Paul Robinson, Alan smith, Harry kewell, Fabian Delph, Scott Carson, johnny howson etc most current or past internationals, and the under 18's just finished 2nd in the youth league so don't think yours is better, so your in the premiership for now and were not a big club no more but has your club ever won the top league or a FA cup or even played in Europe, I know where not a big club but we have :) shouldn't laugh at the teams below you coz tables can quickly turn and for your cockiness your club will get laughed at when you get relegated from the premiership, again

Id agree im a wolves fan n leeds academy is one of the best in the country i mean wolves academy is better than norwichs one

12 May 2012 21:28:21
Rumour has it that Stoke City are after Peter Whittingham the 27 year old Cardiff City player, he has impressed this season but dissapointed that Cardiff didn't make the play offs, however Norwich and West Ham are also impressed with the 2 footed winger/midfielder so it will be a competition for all the clubs that are interested, Stoke have prepared a bid for around 1 million and 95 thousand pounds!
Stoke city will be clearing a few familiar faces out such as Salif Diao, Kenwyne Jones, Tom Soares and Ricardo Fuller. Stoke are looking at him because they have 2 wingers Etherington and Pennant who faces court next week for driving offences.

MORE Leeds news; sorry to bore everyone, but this one is making me chuckle.

Norwich have offered Alex Bruce a three–year deal. Now, I know Norwich don't have the same scouting or youth setup as say, a club like Leeds does. But do they have to sign every player Leeds produce, scout, are interested in, have looked at or have ever been affiliated with? If Paul Lambert wanted the job, he could have just applied after Grayson was sent packing. Fair enough, Bruce is a decent player who deserved better from Leeds (and in particular Grayson), but Premier League quality, Paul? Not sure your fans will agree.

This may also be to make up for his failing to sign that other Leeds player, who's name begins with S and ends in Grass and who is rumoured to have just become Leeds' best paid player on nearly 20k a week on a four–year deal. Hah, so much for the rest of our 'signings,' we'll do well to afford that!

Big change in the Man Utd squad next season. Fergie has got tired of alot of his flops and is ready to sell. Anderson is to be sold to Inter Milan and Carrick set to go to Sunderland to join pal O'shea. This is to be a combined fee of £26 million pound. Berbatov is to be sold to fulham for £7 as he has told he would like to stay in England. Final clear out is Nani to Napoli for £17 million as he has failed to make an impact this season due to Valencia and Young. Coming in this season is Wesley Snijeder from Inter for £35 million and Benzema from Madrid for £25 million who has said he would like to play in England. Final bid for Fergie is believe it or not, a bid to sign back C Ronaldo. Ronaldo and Mourinho have had a massive fallen out and is set to return to utd for £65 million. Cant wait :)

With the off–field problems at Cardiff City I have it on good authority Malky Mackay will be looking at free transfers until it's all settled. The owners are flying in for a meeting which will hopefully bring some good news for the Bluebirds.

Players interesting Malky:

Clayton
Lewis (Heaton set to move to Sheffield Wednesday on a free)
Butterfield
Fuller

If he gets the financial backing reports suggested he is set to bid for:

Becchio

Kenny Daglish has today said the club aren't looking to get rid of anybody other than Fabio Aurelio who is out of contract but this simply is not true. Kenny is willing to let Kuyt,Maxi,Jones,Aquilani and Spearing leave for pastures new while Shelvey,Wilson,Flanagan and a couple of others could leave on loan. Joe Cole is going to be given a surprise second chance at Anfield after impressing in France. Liverpool are in the market for an experienced holding midfielder, a pacey winger and a back up striker. There has been plenty of speculation on targets and from what I have heard Gaston Ramirez,Seydou Keita,Luuk de Jong,Lassana Diarra,Jackson Martinez and David Hoilett are all real targets obviously if one target comes in another will not like Diarra or Keita, Martinez or de Jong etc..

Ed

Is it possibly to add the option to comment on club specific rumours?

It's great we can go to our club and see all the nonsense submitted, but we can't reply and instead have to write down the times they were printed and then search for them the hard way.

It would make the forum so much more user friendly. {Ed013's Note – I will ask, but I don't fully understand the question. If you have a club page, you can comment on there and if it gets posted you can reply. Posts will only be posted on the page where you leave your comments. If you cant find them, have a look through he rumours, banter, questions etc. If you are experiencing difficulties, please let us know so we can fix them}

Not sure why someone disagreed with this. nunez is league 1, and so is paynter. and crawley have a bit of money so could easily afford the wages, only at 3/4k a week {Ed013's Note - The Sheffield clubs and Notts County are after Paynter. Nunez is wanted by Doncaster}

Southampton could be set to tempt Everton with a bid from Leon Osman – Very early days and will need commitment from both sides. May involve Danny Fox going the other way if Leighton Baines goes to Manchester United.
Another RUMOUR I've heard through the grapevine is that Rory Delap could be set for The Saints in a deal worth £900 000 pounds... This is more unlikely as Adkins is looking at young players... Finally, in an attempt to bring in an attacking midfielder/winger, Southampton are on standby for a £2 million raid on Cardiff for Don Cowie.. Cowie is said to be wanting a fresh start after only a short period of time with the Welsh club.

Southampton have rejected a £5m bid for winger Adam Lallana from Premier League new boys Reading.

Reading could yet go back with an improved offer but are also looking at Wolves winger Matt Jarvis. Manager Brian McDermott will be in attendance watching Wolves on the final day and is believed to be readying a £3m offer.

I've also heard Saints have made an official approach for Leicester centre back Matt Mills, and right back Greg Halford.

(4)
(2)

Ha what a load of garbage.
Lallana would not even consider Reading. Reading wouldn't be stupid enough to try a bid.
No Saints fan would want Mills back after he left thinking he could be great after just a few games.
Halford isn't Premier League standard.
NEXT RUMOUR PLEASE

Odd one from Stoke today that Gennaro Gatusso may come on some kind of 1 season pay as you play deal.

Martin Olsson and Matt Jarvis of course have been strongly linked as has a loan deal for Lukaku that Stoke are rumoured to have agreed with Chelsea last January.

Stoke will not give Fuller the 3 year deal he wants and further talks with Huth are due next week.

Jones will make way for a well known striker but no name was given.

Jay and Tripps are both leaving im afraid :( We need to replace them both with quality players! We shouldnt be letting go of players of that talent, we should be tying them down on new contracts! Big season ahead Eddie :(

Latest Leeds news: Seems to change every day at the moment with the Mighty Whites.

Talks with Joel Ward, as were reported in the Daily Mail on Wednesday and yesterday in the YEP, were concluded. Talks are ongoing with Paul Green. Both are thought to have been positive and could bear fruit.

The real shocker is the rumour that Paddy Kenny has already AGREED a pre–contract. I didn't even know there were any discussions. Warnock kept that one quiet. Don't blame him, there'd be a riot.

Jamie Vardy going to Hull
Is this the same James Vardy who recently signed for Leicester?
If he doesnt go to his beloved swfc as he has a point to prove after being let go as a youngster
How will this work? According to this site that is the fifth club he is signing for, will they all have him on a rota basis?

As long as Hull get him on all Saturdays and most Tuesdays between August 2012 and May 2013!

Hey their ed

Any news on leeds signings heard that Joel ward is in talks? {Ed013's Note – All I know is he may have had talks and would be very interesting in joining his best mate there. Ken Bates is reluctant to sign players until July due to the club not having any income, however NW will not want to miss his target due to 3–4 other clubs interested in him}

This next year could be fergies last year in charge so believe me he will want to win something! he will strengthen in the summer to give him a better chance of bowing out at the top with another European cup under his belt!

I think we will be looking at Dembele from Fulham, definitely make a push for Rodwell and we could maybe go for christian eriksen from ajax. I like gaitan and hazard but i think there gonna cost mega bucks so we will probly pull away from them.

I also think we will try and shake luca modric up a little but i cant see them letting him go especially as harry is staying put!

Iv always liked ben arfa and think that would be a smooth move from fergie if we could get him over the geordies!

man utd forvever!

Recent survey on an Everton site asking 'If you could have any player past or present (and at the peak of their powers) in the current team, who would it be?

Now I could think of about 10 genuinely world class players including Dixie Dean, Neville Southall, Trevor Steven, Kevin Sheedy, Gary Lineker, Alan Ball, Graeme Sharp...

Have a guess who topped the poll?

Duncan Ferguson!

Haha, you couldn't make it up. I'm a Villa fan and Emile Heskey has scored more Premierleague goals than this clueless thug!

Everton fans clearly dont want to win things, they just want a reason to hate their neighbours and rough up opposition.

Anyone who feels sorry for Portsmouth FC i urge you to have a read of there local paper The News, there is an article in there about how £8,400 of charity money is still to be paid to organisations.
This is the reason to why Pompey should not of been allowed to sign players like Etuhu and pay his wages even if he was on a week to week contract. In the January transfer window they turned down a bid from Ipswich for Joe Ward maybe they should of accepted and pay these poor Charity's there money back, not to mention all the other small Family buisness that suffered.

However holmes and MCevley will sign by end of next week or before they go on Hols.
Nobody knows for sure who Dicanio will go for,the Chairman is out of hospital and speculation is Funds will be made available for Swindons return to Div 1.Other than that theres not much happening and all should be known by end of next week
