Out of contract Cheltenham Midfielder Marlon Pack is set to snub Rotherham United in favour of Yorkshire rivals Bradford City

20 May 2013 16:26:01
He is on the verge of completing a move to Bournemouth for £175,000 plus add ons.

They can have him, he thinks he's etter than he is and better than any other player at the club. We only play players who work hard in training. Ask Nardiello.
Also we are looking for a left Winger, not another CM, we have enough already.

~deMiller

Kayode Odejayi set to choose between former team Colchester or Exeter City, Nahki Wells will join championship side Bolton with Kevin Davies going the other way as a free agent. Gillingham set to make offer for Tom Pope.

Pope to gillingham, I don't think so.

Pope is poor, got lucky this season, won't score anything like that next season or ever again.
He will stomp on your head though.

Rotherham have offered a contract to Sanchez watt who is soon to be released by arsenal

Strange how yesterday you were taking him on loan and when I pointed out he was being released by Arsenal you are now offering him a contract. You are talking crap!

20 May 2013 11:05:14
Rotherham are in talks with Jon Taylor of Shrewsbury

JT will not sign for Rotherham - if he does leave Shrews it'll be to a Championship club!

Hope not, he's another Ainsworth.

That's not exactly a career progression is it? No disrespect to Rotherham who are a decent & well supported club but Taylor will want championship level football.

Ainsworth is a class player so is Taylor. Niether want to be managed by Evans

Evans is a good manager to be honest. Some players don't like his style understandably but look at nardiello, he's last and Evans has been on his back and dropped him when he has been last and his goal to game ratio has improved massivly.

20 May 2013 00:32:08
KAYODE ODEJAYI is set to return to Colchester United, after being transfer listed by Rotherham, if Jabo Ibehre doesn't sign the contract offered to him.

19 May 2013 19:55:23
Bristol City rumoured to be looking at Rotherham number 1 Scott Shearer as a replacement for Tom Heaton.

The same shearer that punched a ball into his own net whilst playing for the Gas? I don't think so.

19 May 2013 18:34:07
Rotherham have offered contracts to Marlon Pack of Cheltenham and Sean Colhessy of Southend. They are also preparing a bid for Falkirk striker Lyle Taylor. They have enquired about free agent Jay Simpson (released by Hull) but his wage demands are too high. Former Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon was on the millers' radar too but persistent knee injuries mean he's likely to sign for Dumbarton as player/coach as he cannot play first team football on a regular basis. Steve Evans will also try to take Arsenal forward Sanchez Watt and Czech winger Martin Zemen on loan.

How many more times do you people have to be told Sanchez-Watt is being released by Arsenal. Who you going to loan him from?

19 May 2013 16:47:50
Donny to loan out harper to either scunny or Rotherham! Donny also will look to bring in Sanchez Watt and Nick Powell on loan as well as signing Billy Sharp, Will Grigg, James baxendale, David Button, Dean Furman, John lundstram and Harry Maguire

The club have said to expect quite a lot of signings this season as we only have 7 players under contract at present

Jordan Ball and Paddy Mullan who were surprisingly released will sign for Chesterfield next week Ball can be a goal machine

Sharp won't sign for you again

Last time I checked Sanchez-Watt was being released by Arsenal so who are you going to loan him from?

19 May 2013 13:54:14
Rotherham have had a 200k bid rejected for Chesterfield goalkeeper Tommy Lee

Can't see why they'd even bother making an offer under 500k

Get real 200k try adding another million on that figure.

20 May 2013 07:53:19
Lee release clause £500 so below that won't even be considered

£500 release clause. that's cheap, and the £200,000 is larger than that figure.

19 May 2013 11:15:02
Johnny Haynes to leave Aberdeen this summer with rotherham and shrewsbury linked with him

I have just been talking to Jonny. He is leaving Aberdeen and is set to sign when his new team mates return from US.

Whose players are away at minute in US?

Rotherham's players came back from las vegas recently

18 May 2013 17:19:38
Calvin Zola has received a number of offers (so far) rumoured to include league 1 new boys Rotherham & Port Vale. The Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner was also interested but his interest has cooled as Zola's wage demands are well in excess of the club's wage structure. Turner may well turn to a couple of non league targets, Hereford's Bowman & Malbon from Kidderminster.

colin price

We don't won't non-league players! we need quality

Quality costs money and that's something that we don't have.

18 May 2013 15:25:47
Peterborough will sell George Boyd for 1.5mill to Hull. Tyrone Barnett to Rotherham for 500k. Jack Payne in from Gillingham for 300k Lucas Akins in from Stevenage £150k.

The Boyd, Barnett and Payne are true but not sure about Akins

Boyd is a free agent so no fee involved and he can go where he wants

18 May 2013 17:18:50
Hull already 'bought' Boyd when they paid the loan fee in January.

Stevenage will sell Akins at the right price

18 May 2013 17:57:20
Hes not a PL player

18 May 2013 18:29:51
U will have to cough up more Payne at least 500,000

Boyd, I'm afraid has already signed at Hull for 200k as part of a deal struck in the previous transfer window. Not sure if he is good enough for premiership. Personally would do a deal with Celtic and swap him for Hooper. Boyd would be a quality player in scot premiership and have a similar impact to Samaras. Hooper has banger goals in in Europe and the League so should be a hit in the English premiership. Hull City Fan. {Ed034's Note - well isn't that a nice way to treat him. he signs for you, plays 13 games, helps you to get into the prem scoring four goals and you then tell him to do one

Body's loan fee was seven figures

18 May 2013 01:24:21
The right back Rotherham are close to signing is Mustapha Dumbuya from Crawley Town.

Would be a backward step for Muzzy!

Muzzy is in Canada at moment and is still considering his options, there is still a chance he will sign a new deal with Crawley

Evans did say he was waiting for the defender to come back off holiday

Good signing for Scunthorpe, he's the kind of target man we need for league 2. Get a good finisher off him such as Hearn from grimsby or Morgan from Wycombe and we could have a good season.

18 May 2013 20:33:28
No, he's on trial at Vancouver whitecaps according to twitter.

Muzzy should be looking for Championship/Lg 1 fighting for promotion, not with Evans and trying to stay up.

We are fighting for promotion

19 May 2013 23:15:18
Why would muzzy go to rotherham when he could stay with crawley and go up rotherham are probs gunna go back down. Also there is a mls club intrested in signing him

20 May 2013 10:30:04
Vancouver white caps look set to sign him. Go on net and check it out muzzy wants to move to the mls

We ARE fighting fro promotion

17 May 2013 20:43:06
Scunthorpe United are trying to sign Rotherham Striker Kayode Odejayi they are trying to agree terms.

It's a done deal!

17 May 2013 20:18:07
Sources close to Rotherham Manager Steve Evans reveal he is about to announce the signing of Mustapha Dumbuya
from Crawley town.

Not True signing a new deal with Crawley

17 May 2013 18:40:40
Bristol City still expected to sign Scott Flinders despite interest from other clubs. Newly promoted Rotherham and Championship Leicester are also interested. Flinders would be back up for Kasper Schmeichel if he joined Leicester but would be 1st choice keeper for Bristol City. Neil Watson from the Sunderland Echo newspaper understands that Hartlepool are close to agreeing a deal. Flinders has held talks with all 3 clubs and Flinders is keen to play at a higher level.

Fitness test on Monday

17 May 2013 23:03:07
Flinders has been dismissed as a target for Rotherham by Steve Evans this week!

17 May 2013 08:11:49
Ipswich now front runners for both Nahki Wells of Bradford and Jacques Maghoma of Burton Albion. Calvin Zola to Rotherham is a step closer after initial talks and Matt Paterson to Oxford United could still happen. All three Burton players could still stay at the Pirelli if Gary Rowett decides to stay as manager, both Wolves and Doncaster Rovers are interested in him.

We are NOT after Matt Patterson! We turned him down 2 years ago. And he is not the target man or goal poacher we are after!

Paterson is too good for Oxford, he will sign for a year at Burton then move onto bigger and better things.

17 May 2013 08:05:33
Rotherham united putting in bids for bradford striker nahki wells and burton striker Calvin Zola

Why would we sell Nahki Wells to Rotherham United when we are in same leagues next season and he's been linked with championship clubs

16 May 2013 20:50:00
Rotherham will make a treble bid for Nahki Wells, Gary Thompson and James Meredith should Bradford fail to get promoted. A fee of around 600-700k should seal the seal.

That figure wouldn't even buy Wells alone

Joker ha ha

Never mind Wells, struggle to get Meredith for that fee, solid championship full back and one we aren't letting go. We have a contract option on Thompson so it's either free or no move. My guess is no move, proven his worth to supporters and Parky is a big fan. And, as a sub-point, why on earth would any of those players want to go to Rotherham?!

Rotherham would only take Wells so I wouldn't worry about why they wouldn't want to come to Rotherham. But i'm sure they wouldn't mind coming to Rotherham if they agreed to go to Bradford, just a step up really.

17 May 2013 23:06:45
Meredith is a Championship full back? One of the worst full backs I personally saw all year. Doubt any of this rumour is true as Rotherham are being linked to every player in the country besides Wayne Rooney. Good luck in the play off and hopefully see you again next season.

16 May 2013 19:30:56
Burnley striker Martin Patterson will be told he is surplus to requirements at turf moor & Rotherham, Doncaster, Yeovil and Peterborough are all already battling for his signature.

Already in talks over a new deal according to Lancashire evening paper

Sorry. No. Perhaps we may not re-sign Paterson but the clubs who might have any chance of signing him in that case will be established Championship clubs or a big club in League 1.

Careful, established clubs? Many have thought that way and are now in Div 1 & 2, and are established Division one teams.

Big championship team, or he might just stay where he is at burnley, he ows us supporters a good season

Or maybe he owes it to himself to revigorate his career at a club with ambition? Burnley are never ever going to be promoted "again", life his expensive in the championship, can you afford to kid yourselves you are a club with ambition?

Hasnt been good since coyle left. happy for him to go to free up some wages

Could happen, though would think his wages would be quite high. He's welcome at Posh though!

^^ never ever going to get promoted ' again? Look at reading last season. i'm sure it will happen 1 day, but when. No 1 knows and neither do you so stop acting like you know it all. As for ambition sure we are why wouldn't we be? Every other team in every league are ambitious and if your not what's the point in existing, just because burnley are being sensible trying to cut wages doesn't mean we don't have ambition. UTC

The point of ambition is to work within the confines of being realistic, size of ground, size of owners pockets, etc. Long term supports should support their team through the good times and the bad times. Well done Bradford, they are now a force to be reckoned with, so watch out League 1, this team have the attributes for a Championship challenge.

16 May 2013 17:56:13
Cody McDonald is set to leave Coventry and snub Gillingham by signing for Rotherham instead

Cody has just bought a new house in Kent and put his kids in to a local school. A move to Yorkshire will never happen!

Yep Cody will be in Kent shortly, and will join Gillingham.

£250,000 down the pan, worse number 9 at cov in years, never lived up to replacing Marlon King. good redance.

19 May 2013 18:13:38
If we (Gill's ) sign Cody he will start bangimg the goals in for us, and Coventry will have to ask serious questions about their style of play, for him to have scored so few goals for them.

16 May 2013 17:55:23
Rotherham have had a 100k bid rejected for Lyle Taylor of Falkirk and are going to return with a 150k bid

16 May 2013 10:35:18
Crawley want to re sign andy drury but face competition from gillingham, leyton orient, stevenage, Rotherham and Bristol city

Who's Andy Drury?

Drury was at Ipswich and on load to us for a period early last season - made an impact, but given some time may well be very good.

Thanks for the info.

Stevenage won't sign Drury, he left because he didn't get on with Westleys training regime so is unlikely to return.

Number of clubs interested in Andy Drury, including two Championship Clubs, but Gillingham is his local club, hopefully Martin Allen is aware of him, if he isn't he should be. Quality player, and played 30 games for Ipswich last season.

Agreed we will be lucky to have him but if its his local club then maybe we have a good chance of getting him! Come on Allen make him the 1st signing of the summer

I saw him play against west ham last season was very impressive please sign him scally

16 May 2013 08:17:48
Kayode Odajayi & Rene Howe Are Targets For Southend Manager Phil Brown. Howe Is Rumoured To Already Be In Talks With The Blues And Odajayi Was Released By Rotherham Yesterday.

Source: My Neighbour Who Works At Southend United

Odejayi wasnt released he was made available for transfer

16 May 2013 11:42:37
Holmes is likely to sign for Leyton Orient if he proves his fitness after his ankle operation.

If he is going to sign for orient why has he made a come and get me plea?

Haha this is so not true, for starters the arsenal youth you re talking about is called josh rees, think your sources may be a bit off.

Exactly. All Southend Fans Probably Saw In The locl paper Today (16/05/2013) That Holmes Made A Come And Get Me Plea! He Supports Southend Too, Orient Are Our Local Rivals.

RM Shaks!

My Sources Aren't Off, It IS True. I Read It Myself In The Southend Echo. Definitely. I Admit, I Read It On My Paper Round And Uploaded The Rumour When I Got Home, So I Apologise For The Name Mistake.

The Arsenal Youth Is Called Josh Rees.

RM Shaks!

15 May 2013 19:20:22
Jacques Maghoma is wanted by Brentford, Doncaster, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Shrewsbury, Rotherham, Ipswich, Bournemouth, Palace, Westbrom, Bradford, Brighton, Leeds, Birmingham, Leicester, Millwall and Derby.

Any1 else think uve covered every team in that post

Nice and specfic, then

Competition is low then

15 May 2013 20:59:02
There is now way all of those teams want a league 2 player, espeicially cardiff and leicter. Besides boro are favouretes to sign him, and an earlier post said we already did.

From what I hear its a done deal at middlesbrough.

You forgot Dortmund, Bayern, PSG and Barcelona.

Anyone else I think you might have missed one!!

Haha. No chance. A prem team? No way in hell.

If your going to name that many teams just say every team in the football league.

You forgot QPR they like to sign everyone

You forgot to mention Charlton, Leeds and Leicester.

15 May 2013 18:52:38
Rotherham are monitoring Altrincham goal machine Damien Reeves

15 May 2013 18:42:43
Rotherham striker kaydode odejaydi going for trial at Ipswich mick McCarthy big admirer of big man

Your welcome to him very poor player

Do me a favour, the guy couldn't cut it at col you or league 2 Rotherham.

16 May 2013 03:00:55
Good "hold-up" man and brings other players into the game. I think he played well at Rotherham and deserved more starts - but wish him well

He played well at rotherham, as a sub

15 May 2013 17:22:47
Swindon Town summer transfers from a good source inside the club: (I'm not sure on prices though)
Jordan Obita from Reading
Alan Lee from Huddersfield
Andy Johnson from QPR Not too sure though
Scott Wagstaff from Charlton
Curtis Obeng from Swansea
Conrad Logan from Leicester

Out:
Wes Foderingham to Doncaster/Leeds/Peterborough
James Collins to Bournemouth/Bristol City
Gary Roberts to Brentford
Paul Caddis to Birmingham/Middlesbrough/Burnley
Paul Benson to Torquay/Southend free
Lee Cox to Plymouth free
Alan Navarro to Rotherham/Gillingham
Adam Rooney not coming back

I'm sorry but I think it will be a very tough season for us next year. Come On You Reds

15 May 2013 21:27:52
hope coxy comes to us

Wagstaff is off to Gillingham

Why would Andy Johnson drop a league and take a wage cut? he's injured that's why he's not playing and Obita will be part of readings future

Adam Rooney has signed

I wish we could have roberts back at huddersfield

No he dosn't lack quality

Posh wouldn't be interested in Foderingham unless he was to move to sit on our bench

Lee Cox out for 6 months shoulder reconstruction.

Have you see Gary Roberts recently, gone backwards. No thanks

Obita would only be a loan

Roberts back to town, avin a laugh never been same since the broken arm, another one who thinks he's better than he is div 1 yet again.

None of them Swindon transfers targets are true, wagstaff? Couldn't afford his wages. the same as lee couldn't afford his wages.

Rooney signed for who?

15 May 2013 16:20:06
Rotherham set to make an ambitious approach to sign Kevin Phillips of Blackpool (on loan at palace) but wages will probabaly be the stumbling block of the deal

Phillips said this season would be his last

Blackpool have already released Kevin Phillips so, unless he has done a deal at Palace he is a free agent

He will end up being a player/coach with ollie

15 May 2013 16:16:23
Cheltenham are set to resign Kayode Odejayi. The striker was transfer listed by Rotherham.

15 May 2013 15:49:23
Cheltenham are hoping to sign defender Ian Sharps, who was placed on the transfer list by Rotherham.
