Millwall are looking to beat Rotherham & Scunthorpe to the signing of Dutch Forward Kevin Van Veen from Dutch 2nd Division side FC Oss

He has gone to Scunthorpe. Need someone like him.

13 Jan 2015 09:59:04
Looks like Aldershot Town striker Brett Williams is off north of the border with St Mirren and St Johnstone keen to take the hitman.

Troy Deeney of Watford on WBA radara.

Gosport Boro striker Matt Paterson being courted by Portsmouth, Oxford, Swindon and now Crawley.

Andy Johnson will snub Wycombe and sign for Luton.

And finally, Rotherham's Fabian Brandy will sign for Rochdale.

quick re-brief of our targets:
Fernando Pacheco - becoming more likely, yet it is getting even quieter as there isn't much notice to this, and it is claimed to be on a loan until the end of the season.
Juan Muniz - all rounded midfielder who can easily give Tomlin a run for his place and is very competitive
Niguez - basically a full on, but younger, version of Whitehead (who is way past his peak in my opinion)

Our right back solution has been resurrected by the arrival of Tomas Kalas so there won't be any more arrivals for the Right back spot, however, two new targets who are under the radar from media have been linked with Boro. These are Tom Cairney who has been mentioned now and again, but nothing has went ahead just yet ( ). The second target is a versatile centre back who can also play in midfield, his name is Marios Oikonomou and he is only 22 years old, so has time to improve even further. He has played for Greece Under 21s and has a good relationship with Dimi Konstantopolous, who we could use to persuade Oikonomou to come to Middlesbrough.

Extra: Mark Hughes has let Robert Huth go out on loan to a Championship club. Watford are winning the race at the moment, but 2 other Football League clubs are interested.

14 Jan 2015 15:21:52
Fernando Pacheco on a loan until the end of the season may have become even more quiet, but it is still going on and is looking increasingly likely as Konstantopolous turns 37, we have Mejias as our back up at the moment and Karanka is concerned that if we get promoted, how will they cope?.

I know we still have Ripley, but he still needs experience, as that is beneficial to both him and the club, look at how Reach and Gibson turned out, an influential duo who play a significant part in Karanka's future plans.

Niguez (also known as Jony) is a younger kind of version of Whitehead is way past his peak, whereas Muniz is a more all-rounded midfielder.

14 Jan 2015 15:24:07
My mate from whom I get my information was here and I put the above names to him. Pacheco remains a target but Ivan Perez Munoz advises that Mejias outshone Pacheco at Madrid, my friend wouldn't be surprised if we swooped for a more experienced goalie whilst he knows Aitor to be an admirer of Muniz and Niguez but not interested in signing either yet (I must stress the yet apparently). He has heard nothing of Cairney but says it could be possible. There is no interest in Oikonomou though my friend is an admirer of his, Karanka has no awareness of the player. Fran Merida deal could be back on after Milos Veljkovic's loan extension failed.

15 Jan 2015 07:08:38
Fernando Pacheco is a younger keeper than Mejias, and Mejias hasn't really proven himself to be an adequate keeper who will be able to replace Konstantopolous in the near future.

Oikonomou is a 22 year old central defender who is well known by Dimi Konstantopolous as they have played in the Greece National acedemy side together, (Oikonomou was just 16 then).

Cairney is a target that is going under the radar as there has been hardly, or no mention at all, yet it is a likely possibility he could arrive in Teesside considering Veljkovic has went back to Spurs, and Whitehead seemingly past his peak and seems to be more fitted to our right back role, thus leaving just Clayton, Leadbitter and our young future prospect Bryn Morris as our only Centre midfielders. Muniz and Niguez are also potential targets to arrive in teesside.

Extra: I've been reading the Evening Gazette and it is suggested that an Emerson-type of midfielder is set to arrive on Teesside. Anyone got any idea who this could be?

15 Jan 2015 16:19:09
Oikonomou and Dimi did not play together in the Greek youth teams because Dimi would have been ineligible to do so six years ago as he would have been 31. Furthermore, Cairney is not someone who the club have expressed an interest in but I personally would love to see him at the Riverside. Muniz and Niguez cannot be called targets yet as Boro have no interest in actually signing them, but Karanka does admire the players. As for the Emerson article in the gazette you have misunderstood. If Pacheco does come in it will be if/when Mejias departs so Pacheco can be second choice goalkeeper

I meant like player/coach type, you know what I mean, sorry about that little mix up.
And no I have not misunderstood the Emerson article as Karanka is looking for a loanee who can replace Milos Veljkovic.
I think everyone would love Tom Cairney at the Riverside! He is a good player and even though it is not out with the media, Karanka isn't impressed with Mejias, so is considering whether it'll be more beneficial to send him out on loan to free up wages or to sell him permanently to free the transfer budget up as well as the wages. What would you do if you were Karanka?

18 Jan 2015 16:35:23
Oh I thought you meant that their was some kind of friendship between the two Greeks. In fact, it's quite probable that the two have never met. The Emerson article was in no way a reference to any potential incomer, it was just to remember a fantastic player. Cairney, ideal signing. Karanka has said he will not sign a new first choice goalkeeper until the summer, but if whether Mejias is sold or loaned out, Pacheco would be the replacement second choice. If I were Karanka I'd pack the poor lad back of to Spain where he is more comfortable

12 Jan 2015 19:36:17
Rotherham forward Jonson Clarke Harris will sign for Millwall, possibly in a straight swap for defender Mark Beevers

13 Jan 2015 19:23:51
This is not true and as for beevers he is out for up to 3 weeks so ant going anywhere

12 Jan 2015 15:23:17
Guiseleys oli Johnson to Rotherham

09 Jan 2015 13:08:10
Millwall will attempt to rescue the deal to bring Rotherham Star player Ben Pringle to the den after the deal collapsed last night after the South London club had had a bid of £175,000 accepted by the Yorkshire side. The lions had offered more money but the winger wanted a longer deal and the lions could be willing to add another year to the deal to push the deal through to get there man

09 Jan 2015 20:54:46
Millwall CEO Andy Ambler is to meet with with Ben Pringle to discuss another contract offer to gt the Winger to sign for the lions before the end of the transfer window

10 Jan 2015 04:30:21
Think millwall should buy amr zaki only 30 lol

10 Jan 2015 10:56:21
Wolves or Preston likely destinations, the player does not fancy London refused all contract offers at RUFC so will be sold this window

12 Jan 2015 01:03:27
Being a Miller, I don't care where he goes, just as long as he goes!, one thing he aint, is a loss! so please take him anybody :)

07 Jan 2015 19:29:05
Rotherham have had a bid of around 200k accepted by Millwall for defender Mark Beevers. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the week

08 Jan 2015 18:45:39
No chance. He will cost at least 500k

That is such a lie. Wouldn't let him go to a club who is battling for survival like us. Easily worth 1 mil

21 Dec 2014 16:04:24
Lewis Macleod set to join rotherham for a 1mill fee. if this is true I hope he is good :)

We need a goalscorer not another central midfielder

We need to sell pringle too and get a proper left winger :)

{Ed003's Note - never realised you was a Rotherham fan Sail your doing ok in the correct score comp btw :) }

Macleod joining brentford for 1 million

26 Nov 2014 06:56:42
Emmanuel Ledesma has joined Rotherham United on loan until the end of the season. Good riddance say I

27 Nov 2014 13:07:05
This happened last Friday 21st Nov and is not new news. A good player but too much of an individual for the Boro.
Wish him well

22 Oct 2014 12:39:20
Rotherham trying to offload Jordan Bowery and Matt Derbyshire already

Premature to say the least - all Rotherham players are measured by performances only - so they all know that SE will "manage players out" - but this rumour is malicious garbage!

11 Sep 2014 18:46:00
Sheffield United and Rotherham United are hoping to bring in out of-contract winger Chris Eagles following his release from Bolton.

Bradford City are looking to loan out Niall Heaton, a number of non league clubs are interested but it looks likely the youngster will be joining Ossett Town.

25 Aug 2014 14:06:00
Rotherham's Steve Evans is looking for a striker having lost out on Stevie May whose wage demands were out of line with the Millers pay policy No truth in rumour that he wants another midfield player so Swindon's Massimo Luongo is not likely to be joining but Leon Clarke is a possible target.

25 Aug 2014 05:54:01
preston turned down a bid for joe garner from Rotherham he is valued at 2.5 million pounds but garner as stated he is happy at deepdale and does not want to leave, preston could also make a couple of signings this week one could be alex nimerly or leon Clarke and a centre half

If like Clarke

03 Aug 2014 17:38:00
Brighton and Hove Albion are close to agreeing a fee with Bristol City for captain Sam Baldock.

The Robins will then use the money to bring in Rotherham forward Kieran Agard

02 Aug 2014 21:01:40
shola amiobie set to sign for rotherham and fellow former newcastle teammate conor newton to rotherham united.

02 Aug 2014 09:24:45
Rotherham look set to add stevie may to the ranks in a deal reported to be between £800k to £1.2m

29 Jul 2014 10:09:52
Gary Mackay Stevens is back on Huddersfield Towns radar as Dundee Utd are believed to be considering a bid of around 600k from Rotherham and this is likely to be very close to the fee they are looking for. Town had major interest at around the figure previously and are likely to jump in to the race if the offer or a little bit more is accepted for him. This would mean a swift exit would be welcomed for Sean Scannell - who is looking for a move back down south.

They turned down 750k from Barnsley and 900k from Watford so this definitely isn't true

18 Jul 2014 22:04:41
MIDDLESBROUGH are bracing themselves for some significant bids for Albert Adomah.
SOUTHAMPTON, EVERTON, QUEENS PARK RANGERS and CRYSTAL PALACE are preparing bids in excess of 5m.
ADOMAH'S agent has stated he is not looking to move, but would be willing to if the club were to accept an offer for him.
Another player Middlesbrough have received bids for is Smallwood, he is understood to be ready to move on, ROTHERHAM are looking to push a deal through at 800k however their has been late interest from Wolves who are willing to include a player in exchange.

Hope this is wrong, no interest in loosing either player. would rather stick with what we've got + a rb and another striker (not doyle).

19 Jul 2014 08:23:45
I'm with you on that.
The saving from grace is they are both happy to stay.
The only concern is the fee's involved.
Could we replace Adomah for 5m, I don't think we could.
George Friend has been the best bargain buy since Robbie Mustoe and we need him even more than Adomah in my opinion.

19 Jul 2014 08:52:15
Would love to see smallwood stay, though the Adam Clayton possible transfer would knock him further down the pecking order.

No need to sell adomah, can't get anyone else good enough really quite cheap to replace him really hope we keep him!

Bristol City will get 20% of anything over £1m

For £5m upfront i'd sell him if i'm honest. Disappeared at times during the season. Was both brilliant and non existent in equal doses. Could bring in 2/3 players and help balance out the squad better. Perhaps i'm too harsh

Must keep a 12goal winger if you want out

We can't sell adomar unless for crazy money 10 million at least as it would cost to replace him. Also if he leaves we will have no wingers apart from youth eg reach as both ledesma and carayoul are injured for start of season. Meanwhile boro have already rejected a bid from Rotherham for smallwood so I doubt he will move unless we do but Clayton.

Don't think Adomah is the type of player saints will be going after.

19 Jul 2014 18:00:31
Adomah to stay and if we fail to get promoted he will leave next season, a gentlemans agreement. Smallwood will go if we recruit in midfield.

Like I said a few days ago nothing imminent transfer wise, maybe one in midweek.

19 Jul 2014 18:23:51
It looks like Huddersfield are sticking to their demand of 3m for Clayton and MIDDLESBROUGH will not go above 1.5m.
Ake has visited the region and Rockcliffe park. Unsure if a deal will be arranged.
The talk from the pre-season camp is Butterfield has played brilliantly in a holding role and Karanka rates him highly. It makes sense to use our funds on a quality right back and Vossen (but only if we play with 2 up top).

19 Jul 2014 21:33:25
I think Butterfield has a lot to offer, don't think he's had a fair crack of the whipl.

Butterfield is class one of best last year underrated and better than whitehead

Butterfield is a lot better than Adam Clayton on my eyes mistake if we let him go I think ledbitter will make way myself

He's not worth that and the game ia finished now all these average players going for daft money if they want 3mill for him we need ten million for Albert simple 12 goals from the wings is unreal ano he is hit and miss but aren't the all utb keel Albert

Totally agree with you guys, if Clayton is worth 3 mil what's adomah worth.

Clayton is average my personal opinion Butterfield is a better player bad business mfc if this happens.

I still feel there 5 players short though btw karanka is best manager to coach Middlesbrough since stevie mac this guy says

20 Jul 2014 08:36:51
I agree Butterfield has the potential to control a game and is a great passer of the ball. He was subbed to many times last season. He had a cracking game in the last friendly against Real Balompédica.

For me Whitehead is the one who should be moved on first.

20 Jul 2014 09:24:40
I'm with you on the Karanka comment.
He's a brilliant coach/manager.
To have sorted our defence last season was incredible.
As all good managers will tell you, you start at the back and work your way forward.
I seriously look at our squad and can't see a real area of weaknes apart from right back.
Possibly one more striker. But only if we play him up top with Kike.
A few friends of mine own property in Murcia and are Boro fans, they think Kike will do big things in English football.
Fingers crossed gents. UTB.

I agree jmr deano should go even though he has good experience nit we got grant to keep things ticking over in the middle what makes mw wonder we have a strong midfield and we want clayton carnt get my head round it so sumert is happening I have a funny feeling grant to forrest that's the reason for Clayton juat a guess like

Reports coming from GENK are that Middlesbrough have pulled out of the bid to sign Jelle Vossen not sure how true it is as only heard from one source so far.

Boro britt 99 if we were in talks with genk over vossen he would not be doing preseason games with them I would go gor britt whata people views vossen is out ov our reach he's prem class

I Realy don't see the point in the clayton bid too, why not use the 1. 5, add it too the 500k bid for juanfran, and pay 2million for a decent right back, then loan in Bamford as cover striker for kike and get omerou on loan, I also agree butterfield should play alongside grant for this season, they both may be small but my god they are tough lads, not scared off a tackle and definitely not afraid to shoot, be a brilliant partnership, clayton will be a waste of money, also Smallwood can play in claytons position so still not needed

20 Jul 2014 15:41:30
We haven't pulled out for Vossen, Gibson and Bausor are playing the waiting game with Genk.

One in mid-week if everything goes well with the paperwork.

20 Jul 2014 16:23:50
Middlesbrough are waiting to see if Genk approach them regarding Vossen, Gibson is still angry at Genk's attitude in the previous transfer window and has made a final offer for Vossen's service's.
The player is desperate for a deal to be concluded but Middlesbrough are now looking at alternatives with Glenn Murray (palace) and Bechio being discussed.

20 Jul 2014 18:34:12
Big ken should be soon back and also think we might go for Bamford to play along with kike think it could work me

20 Jul 2014 20:30:52
Becchio was Mobray's pet project. The club no longer have interest in him.

Omerou has already confirmed his move back to us tonight, should join next weekend. Likewise Patrick Bamford will be joining us after Chelsea's match in Austria mid-week. As I also mentioned a couple weeks back, Nathan Aké is the alternative to Clayton and is keen on a loan in the Championship.

Kenneth omerou back to the boro as he posted a picture on social media saying he's looking forward to re joining boro! What a singing!

Jrm do you think we need all the midfielders if grant goes then fine we don't need Clayton Butterfield is better and younger

20 Jul 2014 23:54:53
Leadbitter will stay. Butterfield is looking good in pre-season so would expect him to stay if Clayton doesn't move. Could even have both.

Smallwood is a decent player but Rotheram are still keen and he isn't first choice here.

Nathan Aké is superb, may even better than Chalobah?

Leadbitter, Butterfield/Clayton, Aké, Bryn Morris and Whitehead. That's a good selection for the CM positions.

Always good to see your views JRM always has valid information that doesn't come from social media sites I am excited about the new season bamford would be a great loan signing I don't really know much about ake is there any chance of us signing chalaba again? And anyonw got aby information regarding the rightback

JRM don't be surprised to see Leadbitter go he is entering the last year of his contract just like Clayton at Huddersfield. Some wheeling and dealing to be done yet!

15 Jul 2014 13:19:38
Swindon have rejected a £600,000 bid from Rotherham United for midfielder Massimo Luongo.

12 Jul 2014 08:36:53
Kike signing for Boro early next week, Lukas Jutkiewicz also been reported to be going to Burnley and an unnamed MLS club has tabled a bid for Kei Kamara. Richie Smallwood will move to Rotherham in a £750000 deal and then Boro to bring in tough tackling Terriers midfielder Adam Clayton for 1. 5M, deals still on the table for Danny Graham & Jelle Vossen and Juanfran to decide his future this week if he has chosen Middlesbrough or Palermo as both clubs have reached the transfer fee with Real Betis.

12 Jul 2014 08:47:22
Tough tackling hahahahaha u really have no clue

Cant see us getting juanfran but jenkinson of arsenal is available for loan I know he's young but would be a great signing all depends on afc getting debuchy and athletico right back manquilo

Smallwoods a good future prospect selling h for that is nothing a waste and Kei Kamara is good keep him

Tough tackling? Can't be our Adam Clayton

12 Jul 2014 12:25:27
Smallwood is a very good player but not as good as Butterfield, Tomlin, Carayol, Adomah, Leadbitter, Ledesma, whitehead or Clayton If we do buy him.
It makes sense to sell him if we can get a decent return on him.
Kamara wants to leave, he won't stand a chance of getting in the team next season with Karanka in charge.

Hope smallwood one is true brilliant break up player and at 23 is a great prospect for the future playing alongside frecklington

12 Jul 2014 12:30:56
Exactly doubter

12 Jul 2014 12:37:31
Clayton would be a great signing not really defensive but creative and a great passer

Tough tackling? You really are clueless

The juke not involved in per season 4-1 win, so his transfer to burnley must be down to personal agreements, so with his departure that's means we lost emnes, juke and graham and brought in kike, so at least 1 more striker to be expected, don't be shocked to see a striker and a right back coming home from the Spain trip!, also I think clayton deal will be done before start of the season as he seems a real target for us, and also expect jelle vossen on last minute deal, and also a extra left back for cover for George! Real exciting season for the boro this year! C'mon!

13 Jul 2014 09:53:40
Must of been ANDY clayton same guy as seen in cardiff.

Terrier85 sorry to say but you're wrong, it's Adam clayton we have improved our bid to 1.5 million for Adam clayton, great player you'll be loosing and boro will be gaining

Clayton has gone to Portugal with the rest of the Huddersfield squad. Chairman has been here before, with Rhodes, didn't want to sell but when his asking price was met, £8m he went. Clayton will cost you £3m, meet it and he's yours. Look at it from Clayton perspective, run your contract down and move where he want's or go to Boro, which at best is a couple of places up the Championship from where he is now.

13 Jul 2014 15:13:50
I know who is he plays for my team I was taking the mick because you was describing a different player ( tough tackler) lol its called sarcasm plus relates to a previous poat by cardiff fan

13 Jul 2014 16:28:22
FU, you speak sense about Clayton's fee but regarding where Middlesbrough stand in football terms you couldn't be more wrong. Look at our squad at the start of the season and see where we stand at Xmas.
We are 20/1 to go up this season, expect those odds to drop dramatically once we start the season. We have as good a squad as their is in championship already, with 3 more additions we are well equipped to mount a promotion campaign. This will be another tight division but we are amongst 8 teams with a realistic chance of going up.
Teams coming down from the premiership need time to adjust so I wouldn't assume Norwich, Cardiff or Fulham to walk it.
Clayton would jump at the chance to join Middlesbrough, his agent is angling for this move and it's the move Jelle Vossen (Belgian international) is crying out to make too, we are a big championship club with an outstanding chairman and are now ready to make a push back up to the premier league.

Jack, don't want to get into a my dads bigger than yours debate. It's not too long since Ayresome Park was locked up and you lot carried a coffin around the pitch. Yes you've had a few good years in the top fight but it's an equal long time ago. You got 16000 ish average last year we got 14000. You finished 12th we were 17th not exactly worlds apart. You have an untried manager with little experience. OK so you're spending a "bit" and like every year since you came down you expect big things and to sign every player going. Pay £3m and you'll get him. If not either we'll give him a new contract or he'll run it down and have the pick of many clubs. Personally I don't think he'll go to the Boro, but that is just my opinion. We don't have a bad squad you know, a couple more signings and a fit Vaughan and it's probably a match for yours. Again only my opinion but I think a move to Boro is a side way move. Like Mr Hoyle said £3m and if he wants he can go, think I'd drive him up myself for £3m! Boro are no longer the big fish a lot of their fans think they are

13 Jul 2014 18:15:14
FU. I agree with a lot of what you say.
Yes we nearly disappeared in the 80's, yes we do have poor attendances and yes we are linked with lots of names but we never get them.
And I'm sure your dad is bigger than mine too.
However, this is the first time a manager has been backed in the transfer market since the horrendous spell under Strachan when he bought average Scottish players (barring super Barry Robson) for stupid fees. We have a bit of money to spend and I'm sure Karanka will use it well.
Karanka managed 14 clean sheets in 25 games, when he arrived we were leaking goals for fun. He has sorted the defence and now he is sorting the attacking side of things.
I am unfamiliar with the Huddersfield squad, I have lots of Sheffield Wednesday fans as friends and they are vocal on their thoughts but I honestly couldn't name half of your team so I am not in a position to judge your chances next season but I do wish you all the best.
As for Clayton, we'll see.
If you do get Kamara in a swap deal you will all be happy with that in Huddersfield I am sure, with wells playing off him you would be a tough team to defend against.

Weve never been a big fish. Just a small town in europe ;p
And to say a move from juddersfield to boro is a side ways move is absolute nonsense. Apart from better facilities, better chairman and a realistic chance of promotion, rather than a relegation battle, why would he want to come?

And the club was saved in 1986. 28 years ago. As far as I know we weren't relegated from the premier an equal time.

Better facilities? Better Chairman? Realistic chance of promotions? Do you know anything about Huddersfield's facilities or chairman? I'll give you the promotion one, but then again who fancied Burnley last season? Again it's a case of a Boro fan jumping in and having a go at little old Huddersfield. If I was you I'd have a look at Canalside and Dean Hoyle, oh and when you do when Dean sold his business he got a bit more than his wealth is quoted at. He spilt the money with his wife 50/50. Next you'll be telling me the quality of the air is better up your way too! £3m and he's yours!

Oh and the big fish comment was more the money spending times you had when Robson was in charge. Every single time I come on here it's another long list of unrealistic targets from the Boro fans. Have you lot not heard about fair play? Gibson money doesn't matter when you have a transfer embargo in January! Either you put another 15000 on your crowd or come back to planet earth.
But like I posted before these are all just my opinions!

Has Huddersfield signed anyone this season? Probably not there a below average team who sell there best players he would jump at the chance to join Middlesbrough we have a manager who could easily manger any team in the prem, one of the best facilities in England, a squad that did really good last session without real goalscorers and for the first team in a few seasons money to bring our top targets in things are finally looking up for use and the attendance will go right up this year because Middlesbrough are showing they mean business this year

Fu your right most of haven't heard about your facilities at Huddersfield but all Boro Fans know we all about ours, one of the best academies in the country, Rockcliffe again one of the best training grounds in the country and by far an away the best in the championship and every football fan with a brain knows Steve Gibson because season after season he's proved to be the best chairman in the world not just investment but the support and patience he shows managers he essentially saved our club. I'am sorry never heard of yours. we've had to build these facilities because its not always easy attracting players to the north east, most decent Boro fans know our limitations and are realistic, but with a good young manager who created the tightest defence in the championship and the backing of Gibbo in the transfer market money to buy the strikers we craved last season (when we threatened to make the play-offs last season and would have done with a half decent striker) we are looking a decent outside bet to get back to the premier league.
P. S last I checked this is a rumours site people can put any rubbish they like dosen't mean we all believe it look at the signing of Kike no-one saw that and for 3 million you can keep him there's better out there for less we won't go that high.

14 Jul 2014 17:58:02
3m is a ridiculous fee for Clayton, one yr left on his deal and still lots to prove.
I would pay 1m plus Kamara, if he is happy to join Huddersfield.
As Callaby32 said, for 3million you can keep him.
3 million gets you a proven international midfielder in today's market.

To ' FU ' you are disrespecting Middlesbrogh Fc as you are jealous of our ambitions, we are forking out millions for a champions league striker and our manager may have been unproved but has kept the tightest back line in the back end of the championship last term. Middlesbrough on paper are streaks ahead of lowly Hudderfield who are a big fish in a small pond. Middlesbrough are winners and have controlled the euros league in the past after rising back from the ashes. Hopefully we can get back there.

I think its been well proven town won't sell players unless its a stupid offer that comes in plus clayts says he's happy at town. Imo both teams gna b top 12 but too many good teams this year. Just hope we seal briggs n pritchard deals asap

16 Jul 2014 10:35:26
And it's been shown Boro won't pay over the odds and would rather walk away then be ripped off, guess it's stalemate then. See who blinks first. Anyway good luck to the Terriers as long as they finish behind Boro I'd be more then happy if you got second spot behind us in first.

Hearing rumours that Forrest are interested in Clayton (£2m)? Could be truth in it as Pearce was manager at Man City when Clayton was in the youth team set up?

17 Jul 2014 08:21:44
Callarby 32 hope it is a stalemate but he has never said he wants to leave either so its not as if he's on the transfer market so forest can't be front runners for anything and if I was you I wouldn't be shouting from the roof tops pearces time at city or any part of his managerial career in fact he omly got the job at urs because of playing days & pos one of worst managers in league in MY OPIONION & wouldn't want him at town

17 Jul 2014 14:21:33
fair play, personally I'd love to see him in a Boro shirt just as much as you'd clearly love him to stay. I didn't mention Forrest it was the post after me but I can see where your coming from in my opinion Forrest don't seem to have much of a scouting network because they only ever seem to chase players we show an interested in our players alraedy at our club. Leadbitter and Albert to name just two!! How do you feel about the mooted swap deal for Clayton involving Butterfield or Kamara? Butterfield finished the season strong but I woulsnt lose sleep over him going and anyone is welcome to Kamara!!

That's right terrier85. He has not got a league management record to be in any way proud of.

Come on fans . No real info on possible new signings at all. What's really going on. ?

I like butterfield was gutted when we didn't try get him from nprwich but seemed to fade away he was quality at barnsley under mark robins so he could prob get best out him again but not in swap for clayts n I can't see us takin someone from you whilst bluntly turning you down lol

I attended a business event in huddersfield on thursday and was speaking to the huddersfield town representative nigel clibbens. He said in so many words that adam clayton will be leaving in this transfer window. He was touting for business for buying vip boxes and player sponsorship. He said not to sponsor clayton as he will be leaving and clayton hhimself has made it clear that he wants to leave. I found this strange because he's out in portugal with the rest of the squad and all seems well? Sean Jarvis tried to play it down when people were asking further questions? Don't know what to make of it?

19 Jul 2014 22:36:59
Funny how we do all our business behind closed doors since deano arrived yet for some reason they were telling you I presume in confidence and you dive straight on here to tell us. Plus I think clayts will already have a sponsor don't suppose you know where and how much was mentioned too do you so I can pop to the bookies.

Charlton look set to pounce for Kieran Agard, after the striker turned down Rotherhams latest contract offer, but face stiff competition from Leeds united.

Looks likey that he will sign for Leeds as it's closer to Rotherham.

Still only in early stages of contract negotiations its his agent that's come out with the story and steve evans has publicly rubished him shunning the contract he's happy where he is from club source

Arent leeds still under a winding up order? If so doesn't that make them unable to buy players?

13 Jul 2014 00:56:33
we have bought 5 in the past week so I doubt it

Fee of around 800 thousand as been agreed between Rotherham and St Johnstone for Stevie May. The latter are also after Michael Tidser on loan as part of the deal.

Rotherham have rejected a bid of 450 thousand for Ben Pringle from Brentford. Leeds are also looking at Pringle and also Agard.

Rotherham have already mentioned that they want 3 million for pringle agard probably won't be cheap either

Pringle will not be leaving rotherham this summer despite a lot of interest being shown in him. Agard however, has encouraged the luff interest in him and given that he has only 12 months left on his contract, Rotherham would be likely to let him leave this summer

Brentford are in for Rotherham's Ben Pringle.

Would take a rather large sum of money for the millers to part with one of there best players

Bradford City and Crewe are interested in goalkeeper Scott Shearer, who is a free agent after being released from Rotherham United.

Crewe are apparently set to announce the signing of Shearer at some point today.

Yep, he's just signed for Crewe

Coventry City look favourites to sign out-of-contract Sam Hutchinson, the 24 year old is also a key interested from several other clubs including, Bradford City, MK Dons, Peterborough United and Rotherham United.

Apparently already agreed a deal with us (weds) just waiting for takeover to be finalised

He's on his way to Sheffield Wednesday

Port Vale are set to see an influx of new faces arrive after losing several key players. Former Plymouth Argyle defender Durrell Berry is high on Micky Adams' list, as well as former Crewe Alex pair Byron Moore and Kelvin Mellor. Michael O'Connor and Billy Clarke are also on Adams' radar after leaving Rotherham and Crawley respectively. Adams is looking to build a squad capable of challenging for the Playoffs next season.

26 Jun 2014 20:10:27
Kelvin Mellor has signed for PLYMOUTH ARGYLE he turned down Vale's offer, Durrell Berry will start pre season training on trial

Ipswich have been looking at Cardiff 'keeper Simon Moore to give competition to Dean Gerken following the departure of Scott Loach to Rotherham.

Moore who is around 23 years old, signed for Cardiff last year after a great performace throughout the 2012/13 season for Brentford but has failed to get into any team, never mind the bench, and McCarthy believes he would definetly give him some selection dilemmas.
