Ed's any Rotherham news about loans or transfers for now or in the summer? Also I've seen on ssn from 19th February this year that Rotherham were waiting to complete a 'club record' deal which would've seen the player arrive on loan and then be made permanent in the summer, any idea who this could be or if it may still be on?

any more news about what strikers middlebrough are keen to get?

I believe we're still in for Vossen, Le Fondre, Aritz Aduriz. Graham mentioned, Doyle thankfully not.

I'm sure they will be eyeing one or two others. All depends whether the club can raise a bit of cash (hence Wiliams) and also make some room in wages for a decent striker.

AFC Wimbledon are looking to complete a loan deal for Rotherham striker Danny Hylton. The forward needs to first shake off the groin injury, which curtailed his spell at League 2 side Bury. This is not the first time the Dons have been linked with the controversial ex-Aldershot forward. Hylton has been constantly linked with a move to Kingston-based side, dating back to when the Dons were in the Ryman League, managed then by Terry Brown.

Swindon Town are set to lose Nial Ranger if he manages to win his court case in Jan, Harry Redknap has been watching Ranger and wants him for QPR, this is the real reason why Rangers contract was not cancelled, a nominal fee of 250k has been agreed.
Swindon are again struggling financially and could also lose Wes Fodderingham as both Ipswich and Wolves have had him watched, Leicester are still interested in Louie Thompson and Rotherham want Jay Mckeverly.

Could be a very harsh last week of the transfer window for Town with at least three players leaving to balance the books.

Nile ranger are you having a laugh

15 Jan 2014 13:04:33
Obviously some Swindon haters out there, not sure where your information is from but it's way off the mark. Sounds like a Bournemouth fan to me.

15 Jan 2014 13:26:08
Be helpful if you could spell the players names as you have spelt them all wrong which goes to prove you are not an STFC fan. Way off the mark with your comments for a start Nile Rangers court case is February (did you see how Nile was spelt).

Spelling the names, wow that makes me a fake fan, grow up and smell the coffe, Swindon are about to lose two important employment cases which will result in players being sold as Power has already put in well over 500k additional money to get us through this season, he may not want to stump up the money we will lose in these cases, in which case players will be sold.
come back and ridicule me at the end of the transfer window and let's see who is right.
Oh and I am a season ticket holder in the Town and and have been for the last 21 years

Rotherham manager Steve Evans is set to sign
Sanmi Odelusi on loan from Bolton

22 Jan 2014 17:34:51
Slumdog - were skint yet signed a player today for 200k so I think you are more like a scare monger rather than knowing any facts.
Smith signed today from Charlton 200k and Power has stated he has the funds to cover us for this season. I expect a couple of players to go in the summer as we need freshning up any way and the Spurs loans will go back and no doubt some new loan players for next season.

We need an experienced central defender / midfielde battler to sure up the team

heard from a good source that Nakhi wells deal is off due to lack of interest from both players. Seems that Dicko wants to fight for his place at wigan but is happy to go to Rotherham on a season long loan deal because the fans love him.

01 Jan 2014 16:59:16
A number of championship teams are planning to swoop for Rotherham's Ben Pringle. The Miller's midfielder had been very consistent this season scoring 5 goals. Pringle has scored over 23 goals in his time in south Yorkshire.

Nottingham forest, Huddersfield have been mentioned to be favourites to snatch him.

jon18

This if norwood leaves. ben pringle is rated from what I hear hopefully forest don't get him

nobody will get Pringle, Evans has said that no first team player will be leaving. and if he was to leave it would take a massive bid of over £1 million.

30 Dec 2013 16:03:54

20 Dec 2013 17:32:36
David Flitcroft will have a major rebuilding process at Bury over this January transfer window and in the summer.

he will try to offload many of the flops and deadwights in january by selling/loaning them out, he will get rid of most at the end of the current season when most of the recently signed players 1 year contracts come to an end.

Flickers has already signaled his targets to Mr. Stuart Day (Bury Chairman), one he states is a 'young local non league talent', Mike Pollitt has also turned down the chance to join from Wigan as a player/goalkeeper coach, there may be 1 or 2 more in January with many more to come in the summer.

those rumored to be heading out are;

Jessy Reindorf (Jan)
Shaun Harrad (Loan Jan, perm in summer)
William Edjenguelle (summer)
Andy Proctor (summer)
Gareth Roberts (summer)
Richard Hinds (summer)
Rob Lainton (summer)
Marco Navas (summer)
Euan Holden (summer)
Trevor Carson (Portsmouth deal already agreed in January)

Loanes going back to respected clubs;

Anton Forrester (Jan) -Blackburn
Scott Harrison (Jan) - Sunderland
Dean Howell - (Jan) - Fleetwood
Danny Mayor - Sheffield Wednesday

The other loanes that will be signed permanently in January;

Shaun Beeley - Fleetwood
Danny Nardiello - Rotherham

bury have no money to buy new players

21 Dec 2013 10:05:27
Bury have been taken over by Stuart Day, a property developer, he has quite abit of money but will NOT spend it silly, they have also just been boosted by the JD Stadium deal, as well as various other sponsors.

23 Dec 2013 15:06:05
Mayor is here until the end of the season, Flitcroft is set to bring in 2 Centre backs, Left Back, Centre Midfielder and another forward (not including nardiello but he will sign in perm in january) and a left winger possibly. Also Beeley could sign in January

07 Dec 2013 00:07:50
My dad is very good friends with Lee Power, Mark Cooper and Centre midfielder Ryan Harley. They met at a local pub and chatted about possible transfer targets

Wes Thomas-Bournemouth
Alex Pritchard-Spurs-Permanant
Nicky Ajose-Peterbourgh-Permanant
Harry Kane-Spurs-Loan
George Elokobi-Wolves-Money Move or Loan as not playing
Issac Hayden-Arsenal-Loan
Lee Frecklington-Rotherham-Money Move
Paddy Madden-Yeovil-Money Move or loan

Obviously some might not happen but some will#COYR

You couldn't afford frecklington a big toe. Dream on

08 Dec 2013 15:23:57
Hugo Colace maybe ll sign

09 Dec 2013 15:28:59
Your dad won't be trusted again then if you are telling the whole world their plans if you are an STFC fan you would keep quiet about it to stop other teams trying to get a steal in on these players if these rumours are true of course.

18 Dec 2013 09:30:32
we need some experienced players in the squad as we have a very young team. A centre back and striker are key for us and an experienced midfield player. A couple will be going out so we hear which is Wes in goal to the mighty Bournemouth and maybe be one other. we neec the experience in the side as away from hime we are poor and need to start picking up points.

Eddie will probably sign Lee Camp on a permanent deal, so we won't need another keeper!

Afcbpete

Have to agree, why pay for Wes who is about the same age as Alsop, when we will have the opportunity to sign Lee Camp on a free and who has a vast amount of experience in the Championship. The money saved will make a nice deposit on Terrence Boyd. Sorry I'm still banging the same drum but looks ideal for AFCB!

andymann

You bang one side of the drum, I'll bang the other! Come on Uncle Maxim, please make Terrance Boyd a late Christmas present for AFCB fans :)

Afcbpete

What's the point in spending £2,000,000+ on another striker who plays in a god awful league? granted he looks impressive physically, but we need a proven goalscorer in the championship IMO.

Dan-AFCB

Dan. Happy Xmas. Can't disagree with buying a guaranteed championship goalscorer but is there such a being? Jordan Rhodes, cost 7 million, that clown Zigic who cost 5 mill and fell over like bambi when trying to celebrate a are goal at our house or Daniels who was a cheap addition to billionaires row at Loftus Road at 4 million. Doesn't matter whether the big man has 50 mill to spend it comes down to the FFP rules, what a joke. Those evicted from the Premier league start with 23 million more than any othervclub and with our attendances another load of dosh more than us. We need to trust in Edie to find the real deal and IMO we need a Terrence Botd or someone similar to provide a real threat from the crosses that our class wingers could provide, if nothing else than to give the opposition something else to think about and perhaps provide the pivot/ lay off man for some one like Rantie and Grabbs to feed off. At the moment we are one dimensional and for the giants of the championship defences Rantie/Fraser and The rest hardly pose an aerial option or threat. With that option the rest of this league would sh- t themselves every time the ball went wide. Any other suggestions who might fit the bill? Admit he plays in a poor Euro League but he scored goals in the Europa League and to me looks the dogs gonads. Here's to 3 points on boxing day and a number of headed goals to prove me wrong. UTC
Ves every time we went forward.

andymann

I know what you mean with the big man on top, in this league it seems like every team but us plays with the target man. The only target man I can think of of the top of my head is Becchio from Norwich. big target man, experienced goal scorer in this league and doesn't play regularly to my knowledge. a loan move for him could be more suitable then spending so much money on an unproven player.
Anyway i'm sure Eddie won't disappoint us with whichever player he chooses. UTC

Dan-AFCB

Ashley Barnes (Brighton) 600 is the one to get because he's tall better than pitman

Lee camp will most probably sign for the cherries on new years day for free.

28 Dec 2013 15:20:49
Still think we need a BIG CF to go with Ritchie, Fraser & Rantie. Our squad has a lot of fantastic players but we're so lightweight & one dimensional. The amount of shots we get must be right near the top, stats wise but we can't put them away along with quality crosses always wasted. Need a big fella like Fletch. not prolific but a nightmare to defend against. We play attractive passing style but we need route one sometimes. Anyone any suggestions for a big man?

02 Jan 2014 10:24:59

Ben Pringle's pretty much on his way to Reading in January, Nick Blackman on loan to the Millers as a sweetener in the next couple of weeks as Daniel Nardiello 'Will never play for Rotherham again' and has been loaned out to Bury.

DSMiller

20 Nov 2013 12:59:04
tony stewart should keep ben pringle until the end of the season to get us in the championship if not then sell him.

20 Nov 2013 20:08:54
Every player has their price but it would take a very big bid from Reading or anybody else to get Pringle.

26 Oct 2013 18:21:33
Reading have had scouts at Rotherham United's last three matches watching 24 year-old attacking midfielder Ben Pringle.

28 Oct 2013 12:13:39
Possibly in return of le fondre?

28 Oct 2013 16:49:01
typical Reading this. No doubt trying to get our best player on the cheap again, wouldn't even entertain them for less than 1 million.

29 Oct 2013 20:53:48
derby has a sell on clause

Rotherham would happily accept 500k or over for Pringle depending on his form at the time, Tony Stewart has however said that every penny we get will be put back into the squad.

Hi you are gona get a new right back, from newcastel on loan quality young player played for newcastle in europe 21 yrs old big future ahead. mate tells me he is class but still need to learn a bit

24 Sep 2013 16:43:05
Phil Parkinson has said a few loan signings have turned down Bradford City because they weren't guaranteed first team football, these city rejects were expected to be Haris Vučkić from Newcastle and Tom Eaves from Bolton Wanderers who joined Rotherham United last week.

JammyBantam

This is because Bradford have such a strong squad and as Rotherham has only 2 class players in each position - loan signings - especially class loan signings - like Eaves - will only be squad players - but they will learn something from the international players and experience class pro's. Eaves wouldn't get any game time with Bradfud - because they are so good!

lbj

{Ed003's Note - early season delusional positivity is great,I just love it :) }

25 Sep 2013 09:20:59
Sure the millers are above Bradford. And eaves won't start for us either he will be used as back up to revell and nardiello. Tubbs is also back up so that shows how strong our squad is

Ed003's Note - early season delusional positivity is great, I just love it :)

Dear Mr Ed003 - I am a MILLER and I was being sarcastic! Up the MILLERS!

lbj

{Ed003's Note - So I have gathered,good start mate,dare I say promotion Ibj ? }

You may say so - but I couldn't possibly comment! I'll just say, so far so good! We're ALL MILLERS aren't we!

lbj

Eaves got 5 mins v Peterborough and made a difference - an impact player - will be a great player for us to have in the squad! If Peterborough game was boxing match Rotherham would have won on points and Peterborough would have thrown the towel in - battered them! They'll be champions!

Billy McKay of Ict going to Rotherham

So hope we do get Billy McKay.

Very well done millers you beat blunts easy lot of respect for your manager he walks the talk top man like him.

Rotherham United have bid accepted for Inverness forward Billy McKay.

Just seen Billy McKay at Scotch Corner services on his way to sign for Rotherham United!

Well this didn't happen

02 Sep 2013 19:10:15
hearing Ipswich interested in kayoed odejayi of Rotherham on free

Yes I heard this they need somebody to replace murphy due to his poor form!

Town in for Barnet striker Keanu Marsh Brown.

From a Barnsley fan I really hope for your sake you don't sign him. he's terrible strike rate is terrible especially at championship level he scored 4 for us in 80 games his control is terrible, he's by far the worst striker I've seen.

02 Sep 2013 16:32:13
Mansfield are to sign kayoed odejayi from Rotherham united

04 Jan 2014 18:31:54
Mansfield interested in Marlon King, the striker wants to stay in the near by area after been released by sheff U however he's waiting to see if any more league 1 clubs come in for him, and with chesterfield already interested in him as well, it looks unlikely he'll join, as chesterfield are by far the superior team to mansfield.

02 Sep 2013 12:59:59
Rotherham have offered Danny N'guessan a 1 year deal after he was released by milwall

{Ed003's Note - Think it's Swindon}

Could be a good signing, only 26/27 but why only a 1 year contract, I think it would take atleast a 2 year contract to even get him interested.

Signed for swindon

02 Sep 2013 11:13:03
Rotherham want to add a right back, winger and possibly centre mid to there squad today. They are in talks to sign Sido Jombati from Cheltenham for undisclosed fee & a loan deal for Ryan Hall at Leeds is almost complete. Another possibility is Hope Akpan on loan from reading but Adkins is still undecided as to wether to keep him as a squad player or let him get some first team football elsewhere.

Sido has was sidelined after poor performance last month or so, but came on as sub on Saturday after 3 defenders are out with injuries for 3-4 weeks, there is no way Cheltenham can afford to lose any players right now.

And Billy Jones has left the club on mutual consent, so even less defenders available

Why has their not been any transfer movement for Reading? We can't get promoted by this! SORT IT OUT!

02 Sep 2013 16:42:29
Mariappa's gone Palace, but we're not making any moves? We can't go up with a team like this! I'm fuming

02 Sep 2013 17:04:47
PSG's Mohammed Sissoko is in talks with Championship side Reading.

Anton Zingarevich is

{Ed003's Note - can't post accusations like that mate even if you are frustrated it's libelous.}

Better be some movement in the next few hours, just sold kebe, and mariappa and not got anyone in, looks like we will be staying in the championship longer then we expected.
reading need to sort it out, thinking we can just 'make do' with what we've got.
i know were a club that like to be sensible and all but this is getting ridiculous. we need to spend some money. NOW!!!

If no signings are made let's show our frustration and boycott matches.
Ita a crazy situation.
2 days ago Nigel was confident in bringing in 3 players.
I think I just spotted him at Propect Park

03 Sep 2013 00:00:40
@Ed003 - what does libelous mean?

well done reading. couldn't be more furious right now, if I hear any of this oh we have no money, we should ask for the profits of the hotel to be pumped into the club. that's what its there for right? to sustain the club

{Ed003's Note - search it,anyone can have a rant but folk can't accuse folk of things like he/her said.}

02 Sep 2013 11:03:24
Sheffield United have had a bid rejected for Ben Pringle that was nowhere near his valuation. My mates who works at rotherham told me, however the millers are preparing themselves for more serious bids from at least 1 championship club today.

Not a chance why would we sell to our competition not in a million years up the millers

If we really wanted him I don't think you would be able to refuse what we could offer

02 Sep 2013 20:49:46
pringle value will rise, why sell now.

"If we really wanted him I don't think you would be able to refuse what we could offer"

Good grief - this sounds like the massive syndrome is mutating across sheffield. That money your'e getting is a whip round from the lads at the co-op don't spend it all at once!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Big Club" (cough) Sheffield United will still be looking for a striker, having failed miserably to make a serious offer for Clarke and Wilson from Coventry.
A tip for you SUFC, if a club say they want £3-4m then try offering that amount.
All the investment in the worl will be irrelevant if you don't actually try to spend it properly.

Been reading postings on the Coventry rumours, don't forget that just like us (the blades) coventry are a third tier club, very very few players are worth over £500k, Clarke has already proved he can't hack it at a higher level and Wilson is unproven!

I don't think for one second that either Wilson or Clarke are worth £3-4m but that is the price that they have had put on their heads.
SUFC asked for Clarke on loan and wouldn't go higher than £350k for Wilson which is insulting.
McClean from Hull would be an amazing signing for Blades though,
Still wo'nt be near promotion this season I'm afraid though.

02 Sep 2013 00:48:19
Rotherham have had an offer rejected for Crawley defender McFadzean.

Hope Akpan on loan three months

Yes an offer less than half that Bristol city were going to pay last January. Evans is in cuckoo land.

He is staying in the South if he moves, trust me :-)

Rotherhams bubble will burst soon there's no way they will stay in league 1 why would Macfazdean join them when he can join blackpool

Love the Rotherham haters its a great time to be a miller, the only way is up.

Crawley will be changing the ground to all seater council have agreed this with crawley as they try to attract more fans

Need to fill the seats we have before changing the Terraces

Yeh but changing the ground to all seater will attract fans

Yet the Terraces has the biggest consistant attendance.

05 Sep 2013 17:46:47
Were is the money coming from the council won't help with the cost I don't think people realise the cost there's no point in reducing the capacity just to put in seats

A tip for seating: millers at millmoor allowed a supporters vote on seating - first come first served or allocated seating. fans voted first come first served so singers / mates could sit together. the club then forced upon us - allocated seating - killed the atmosphere at a stroke. a miller. good luck

{Ed003's Note - Doesn't allocated seating/tickets have to be done for the old 'elf and safety reasons, not following you A.Miller ?

A Miller - Perhaps that's why the allocated seat scenario was implemented BUT we did actually have a vote on the subject and the supporters wanted to sit where-ever on a first come first served basis: So the boys could sit and sing together! If, all the "singers" don't buy all the seats at once they were "allocated" tickets all over the place - therefore killing the singing / atmosphere. At New York stadium you can pick your seats, within reason - but at Millmoor they allocated them!

Just a brief follow up - you must remember that in those days the Millers couldn't organise a knees up in a brewery!

30 Aug 2013 16:14:31
Rotherham United have signed Pablo Mills til the end of January.

Omg steve evans will be calling Rotherham, crawley united soon practically have the crawley conference side bad bad bad sighning i'm crawley and still laughin paplo mills REALLY

No signing fee - FREE AGENT - FIT - SOMETHING TO PROVE - UTILITY PLAYER - GOOD SIGNING FOR ME!
And for short term contract - what's to problem - Millers have 2 players per position plus - UTM

Ainsworth from Rotherham to Motherwell on a loan move.

17 Aug 2013 23:08:30
Rotherham have made an enquiry to take Doncaster's Kyle Bennett on loan.

Rotherham are after a Defender and possibly a striker. Not another midfielder.

They can have him for free he thinks he's better then he actually is

Rotherham are in for ex Doncaster and current Chesterfield FC centre back Sam Hird. Deal almost done and he is playing very well.

Please take kyle Bennett Rotherham
he needs match practise so when he drops to a team in the conference wich is his level he will be ready to play. don't know why Doncaster gave him a two year contract.

What about micheal duberry, he a free agent and would do a job for us, I no he's 37,

Ill drive Bennett to rotheham myself

When we played Donny last season (pre season) he looked a lively little player, I think he scored as well.

No good then?

Nahh he's not really that good, he's not really that fast either, can't really cross hardly scores and lazy I'd rather him leave he's behind cotts copps Duffy in my eyes

The reason he would have played well in a pre season friendly is that it would have been against a lower level team and that is his level.
He struggled to make an impact in league One and will certainly not make the grade in the Championship.
At times he looks like a boy playing in a mans league.

Midfield is not an area of concern for us
