Norwich City are interested in signing Dundee United midfielder, Stuart Armstrong and Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray this transfer window. There is also interest in Peterborough United defender Jack Baldwin.

Baldwin has been out for months and is not set to return to action before pre season. Good prospect but can't see Norwich stumping up cash for an injured player.

31 Jan 2015 20:19:14
lol, Gray to norwich, that's as funny as Gray to bournemouth

Baldwin out for the season so I would have another think about that one.

07 Jan 2015 06:51:48
Millwall boss Ian Holloway will make an offer to Dundee United winger Gary Mackay-Steven whose contract is up in the summer. The Scottish international has stated previously that he would like to play in England but United are hopeful he will sign a new contract. Swansea, West Brom and league 1 side Sheffield United are also interested but Holloway hopes he can convince him to join the South London club & could try to push it through this month has the Lions battle relegation in the Championship

18 Aug 2014 01:41:21
News coming from Blackburn Rovers;
Crewe and Blackburn have agreed a compensation fee of around 950k for attacker Max Clayton.
Blackburn have agreed a 1. 75 million pound fee with Dundee United for Gary Mackay-Steven. He expected to go for a medical on Wednesday.
They have also agreed loan deals for Manchester United duo Tom Lawrence and Michael Keane, who had a successful 6 months at Ewood Park

Looks like judas has asked to leave you according to press today, watch out for the transfer request soon, you were warned, just as he did at town, once a judas always a judas Rhodes.

21 Jul 2014 01:39:48
Barnsley are considering loan moves for Liverpool's Ryan McLauglin and Burnley's Luke O'Neil to fill the currently vacant Right back spot. Also they considering fresh bids for Scunthorpe striker Sam Winnall and Dundee United winger Gary Mackay Stevens

Really hope we get mackay stevens

15 Jul 2014 09:56:58
Hull City are expected to sign Harry Maguire either today or tomorrow as a fee og £1. 75 million rising to just over £2 million has been agreed.

Any Dundee United rumours?

17 May 2014 17:24:43
Burnley linked with young Dundee United star Ryan Gauld. However United are keen to keep hold of their young talents

16 May 2014 12:57:16
Burnley set to supplement their Premier Leavue squad with the signings of Stevie May from St Johnstone and Ryan Gauld from Dundee United. The two Scottish prospects are very highly rated by Sean Dyche who had them scouted on at least five seperate occasions last season.

Checked my Sources after reading this and found it to be untrue.

08 Mar 2014 22:49:36
A. S. Roma will submit a bid believed to be around £3 million for Dundee United pair John Souttar and Ryan Gauld.

13 Jan 2014 07:46:11
Pepe Mel spent Sunday clarifying his options with West Brom officials.
Albion want to reduce their wage bill by 10% in the current window but conformed to Mel yesterday that funds raised above that figure will be available to him but must include both transfer/loan fees and any new contract commitment.
Mel will today tell Shane Long to sign the contract extension on the table or leave the club. West Ham and Celtic are believed to be willing to pay the £5m asking price should Long decide to leave.
Mel will also sanction the cancellation of Nicolas Anelkas contract by mutual consent and the release of Markus Rosenberg and Diego Lugano on free transfers. He will then however have to wheel and deal in order to bring in some new faces.
A swap deal with Sunderland involving James Morrison and Craig Gardner looks likely. Mel will also seek to sign Roque Santa Cruz from Malaga on loan and Ruben Castro from Mel's former club Real Betis with Rosenberg perhaps being used as a make weight in a permanent deal. Moves for Bolton's Tim Roth and Dundee Uniteds Andrew Robertson which were being mooted prior to Mel's appointment will also go ahead.

There are strong indications that Andrew Robertson is on his way to Everton

14 Jan 2014 03:42:31
what a load of rubbish anelka will be here till the end of the season albion want 6.5 mill for long rosenberg will not go on a free santa cruz come on who makes this crap up

10 Jan 2014 17:28:49
Everton close to signing Andrew Robertson from Dundee United for £1.2m, the full back to remain at the Scottish club on loan until the end of the season

09 Dec 2013 14:25:57
Celtic looking at Ings and Vaughen in the championship at Burnley and Huddersfield, and McKay at ICT as strikers

And are looking at Armstrong in midfield and Gary Mackay Steven on the wing at Dundee United, and McGinn at Saint Mirren

09 Dec 2013 17:42:12
Can't see you getting Vaughan unless you bid big. and I can't see that. At least £5m before they'll even answer the phone.

09 Dec 2013 18:55:07
I am not a Celtic fan. Just letting you in on what we are reading up here. And Celtic have the money, with having no Rangers in the champions league sharing the pot with them. Plus they sold players and netted 20 million. And need a new goal scorer to replace Hooper. As there new strikers like Balde has been duds. And the others are hardly setting the heather alight.

09 Dec 2013 20:17:14
It's in the papers down here as well. I don't know much about Celtic, but I did read their transfer record is £6.5m. I just don't see Celtic matching that for a player who's had a very injury prone career! I also don't see the Huddersfield chairman selling him on the cheap!

Local Huddersfield paper says "not for sale" but we've seen that before!

09 Dec 2013 21:10:35
Well they signed Sutton and Hartson who were injury prone, and they became legends for them. Also they have signed plenty of players in the same ball part as 6.5 million before just under. All he needs to do is lift the phone to Arteta, Jelavic, Naismith to ask what life is like in Glasgow. Or about how big Celtic is a club. Even if they only knewthem as the rivals.

Look all you want bfc have put 10m on Ings

11 Dec 2013 16:41:48
Celtic are a massive club, no doubt about that. Shame they play is a not very good, one horse league. A league similar to putting Chelsea in the conference.

I'd also guess that Championship wages aren't much (if any lower) than the Scott's prem. Yes, he might go to Celtic, remember though Vaughan lives in Liverpool and is more than happy there. He's just got married to a Liverpool lass and in four months into a three year contract. My guess is he's stay at little old Huddersfield till at least the summer and then if he's stayed fit and keeps his form, he's off back to the English premier league. The place a fit Vaughan belongs.
Yes I am a Huddersfield fan and I hope we keep him a long as possible, but wish him well in his career.

16 Dec 2013 12:52:44
Celtic won't be able to afford either player. Sad times when a Champions League club is priced out of Championship Strikers.

19 Dec 2013 18:40:42
Ings has had half a decent season & now all of a sudden he's valued at £10m. Utter nonsense!

20 Dec 2013 10:28:07
First of all it takes some if not all new players time to adjust to life and football in Scotland.
That is a fact so do not judge a player in there first year of a 4/5 year contract in Scottish football.

31 Aug 2013 14:46:59
Leeds United scout Kevin McAllister, scouting Dundee United players Stuart Armstrong Scotland under 21 and Gary Mackay Steven again. Could be bidding on both players soon.

Best get bidding quick then

Well it would want to be quick as the window shuts Monday.

01 Sep 2013 21:43:32
Need good English youth players like we've already have in the academy no needs to spend mediocre second rate jocks

You're right, all Scottish footballers are s****. Bremner, Lorimer, Jordan, Strachan, McAllister, Snodgrass, McCormack - dreadful players.

Lorimar. A Geordie mate you mean Grey.

Or even Gray!

Peter Lorimer is Scottish, born and bred in Dundee.

23 Aug 2013 01:56:12
Great News coming out of Blackburn for their fans- Gary Bowyer has reassured fans that Scott Dann and Jordan Rhodes are not for sale.
On the in comings Blackburn have approached Dundee United in a 500,000 bid for Gary Mackay Steven.
Blackburn have also handed a trial to Dutch winger Marvin Zeegleaar ahead of a proposed loan move to Rovers
Blackburn are also keen to bring in a attacking player and Billy Sharp of Southampton and Max Clayton of Crewe let the list of targets
The Outgoings include Morten Gamst Pedersen going to Copenhagen have broken down.
Gael Givet is in talks with 3 unamed clubs
10 Days To Go- at Ewood Park

You've got more chance of the venkys leaving than getting mackay steven for 500,000. you'd be better putting another zero in that

26 Jul 2013 18:46:23
Bristol Rovers Gary Kenneth to dundee united on 6 month loan deal to regain fitness before continueing with bristol rovers career. United had neal trottman on trial but they have decided not to pursue him and opt for bringing kenneth back to his former club.

Very unlikley and mixed reaction if he'd be welcome back at United

No chance put simply.

10 Jul 2013 00:34:34
Nadir Ciftci set to sign for Dundee United on Friday.

I have heard that bristol city are going in for him aswell.

Neal trot man would b a fantastic signing for Dundee united. He's big strong great in the air an he also has pace. Jackie boy sign him up.

04 Jul 2013 18:49:26
Kudus oyenuga & calum butcher both signed for Dundee United. Great work united

03 Jul 2013 12:14:36
Leeds to make a 850k bid for Dundee united winger Garry Mackey- steven.

03 Jul 2013 15:04:08
I would prefer him to rowe

Almost definitely a lie but would be great if true. But if he's going anywhere it would be for a lot more than 850k. he's 23! that immediately bumps up the price by about 2 mil

He'll be a very good signing if brian can do it.
will definitely get me on my feet when watching him at ER

He wouldn't cost 2 million, 850k is about right. Look at Johnny Russell's fee to Derby,

17 Jul 2013 21:49:58
Ed seems to think there is a very good chance he will be playing for Leeds next season I Can't see him saying that if it was a no no, think it would be a bigger fee than j Russell though il go for 1. 23 million

02 Jul 2013 20:59:40
dundee united have completed the signing of david goodwillie from blackburn on a initial six month loan

02 Jul 2013 14:02:44
morgaro gomis looks set to re join Dundee united with prince bauben

29 Jun 2013 16:55:21
Dundee United have given up on their pursuit of David Goodwillie and are now after former Rangers hero Kris Boyd, as well as Hearts defender Danny Wilson

They haven't given up on goodwillie, blackburn are waiting to see if they receive anymore offers if they don't he will join utd. whether he joins or not doesn't have anything to do with the boyd bid

29 Jun 2013 16:57:29
Dundee united approach danny wilson and kris boyd with view to signing them

27 Jun 2013 18:00:20
dundee united will complete the loan signing of david goodwillie friday morning

25 Jun 2013 20:39:47
DUNDEE might want about 2 Mill for GMS, but that would b fraud. Mayeb better making an offer to Dundee UNITED.

24 Jun 2013 21:41:16
Gary Mackay Steven of Dundee United set to stay for at least one more season with several clubs mooted to be after the winger

24 Jun 2013 16:31:42
Ipswich to bid 700k for Dundee Uniteds Mackay-Steven

I wish we could sign him. He's been on my personal WISHLIST for the past two seasons but I'm 99. 9% sure it won't happen because we can't afford 700k on one player at the moment and Dundee Utd will want a lot more for him I believe.

If only were true, really good player, but not at that price! Near 2 mill proberbly!

I wish, Dundee will want around 2 million I bet, but I doubt we could even afford 700k atm!

Ipswich won't be outlaying any transfer fees, not with so many excellent free transfers available. In fact we can barely afford to take anyone else on as it is. The only way this would be possible is if someone is successfully sold.

This is possible

25 Jun 2013 13:43:45
700k. do yourself a favour, add £1m to that and you might get close plus I think he is destined for bigger and better things that Carlisle. no offence meant.

18 Jun 2013 19:03:04
Dundee United are interested in city rivals Dundee's Ryan Conroy.

18 Jun 2013 14:17:43
Even dundee utd could offer more than that ha ha at least there he has the chance to get back in the Scotland set up. He only wants to sign for dundee United any way. Who wants a player that does not want to be at the club

17 Jun 2013 23:51:30
Dundee United have ongoing negotiations with Blackburn about David Goodwillie coming on loan. First bid was rejected due to wage demands. But Dundee united are back in talks.

16 Jun 2013 23:26:31
Rotherham are trying to break their club record transfer fee of about £250k.
But who will it be?
Tyrone Barnett has been mentioned but chose Ipswitch over us last year on a loan.
Lee Croft has supposibly been seen at NYS with his Porshe, but doesn't own one.
There are some low league players been knocked around but no record fee.
Billy McKay and Rory Donnelly have been announced false by Evans.
Names such as Taylor were said but that's all quiet now.
David Goodwillie was at Dundee United but won't be there next season on loan as there are better offers.

So is it Goodwillie? Who else could it be?

Won't b goodwillie for 250k LOOOOL

250k was the previos record which Rotherham are hoping to break. That was just to show how much it was. Not how much we have been offering. We could be offering 450k for example.

14 Jun 2013 08:35:40
Your right Dundee don't have any money. Dundee united don't have much either though!

04 Jun 2013 17:55:27

Derby have had their third bid accepted by Dundee United for Johnny Russell.

03 Jun 2013 12:42:32
Johnny Russell has never scored a goal for DUNDEE. He plays for DUNDEE UNITED.

01 Jun 2013 10:37:12
Derby have made an offer of £1. 25m for johnny russell, and before all the dundee united fans come out moanin about him wantin to play abroad in italy an italian club has to actually make a decent bid first

So have derby there bids are all with add ons catania was straight 800k cash

27 May 2013 09:01:35
DET bored it seems and have done a top ten free transfers etc. Players included Kevin Davies and Gary Taylor Fletcher etc.

Not rumours as such just seeing who the Rams fan would take from the list.

9. 00 am J. Russell still a Dundee United player.

24 May 2013 00:16:48
Would love to see some new talent next year, think we should sign:
Max Clayton - Crewe
Tom hateley - motherwell (out of contract)
Lewis dunk - Brighton (out of contract)
Gary mackay-Steven - Dundee united
Nick Powell - man united (loan)
Johnathan Williams - crystal palace

What team are you referring to?

Why do so many people do that? Infuriating!

To annoy you. Obviously.

14 May 2013 18:40:19
I saw players on that list that were non Auld firm. And it mist out guys like Noel Hunt with Dundee United getting promoted at Reading. Or Hoovelt going up at Southampton a Celtic reserve player. Also every player has there price, even players in England. So that is a stupid thing to say. What if Inverness sell players, there boss makes up a new squad the next year from free transfers and his youth system. Butcher is a miracle worker, with what he has done for them. Sutherland is a good young ICT player, likes scoring against Celtic when they win.

13 May 2013 18:27:32
Derby County's search for their 4th striker (Sammon, Martin, Ward and. ) will begin to take shape in the coming weeks.

Potential Signing:

Vaughan - Norwich City
Jackson - Norwich City
Russell - Dundee United
Nugent - Leicester City
Fryatt - Hull City
Griffiths - Wolverhampton Wanderers
Ebans Blake - Wolverhampton Wanderers (Injured)
Ashley Barnes - Brighton and Hove Albion

Vaughan is the clear target however Huddersfield Town and Derby have massive interest in the player and both are waiting for eachother to make the initial bid to Norwich. Expect the Terriers to bid first as they will have been speaking to James about a potential permanent move while he was on loan there.

Can have chopra for a fiver itfc Steve

Barnes no way near

29 Jan 2013 19:49:30
The interest in Johnny Russell is hotting up as rumours from England suggest Crystal Palace have taken the front row seat ready to offer Dundee United asking price following the sale of Wilfred Zaha. This can ultimately rule out Derby County due to insufficient funds to compete and a inferior league position going forward.

Dundee are reportedly holding out for 1.8 million rising to 2 million (with sell on fee and premier league appearance bonus). With the contingency of championship clubs (huddersfield rumoured interest too, less so recently) wanting to pay maximum 1.5 million.

Time will tell.

May not take him as they are signing george boyd from peterboro, deal almost done just to agree personel terms

Boyd is a different player and has a left foot and can play midfield.Russell is a out and out striker, who should bang the goals in down there.Would be happier if he moved abroad though, and came back in a few years to the EPL.

20 Jan 2013 12:14:42
It amazes me how this boy has slipped under my radar. As a Dundee United fan who regularly watches the U20's. Adna regular watcher of the Scotland U21's also, I've never heard of him!

20 Jan 2013 12:15:22
Another point, Dundee United don't have £25k to spend on a player

05 Nov 2012 10:10:03
I expect Owen Coyle to be appointed Blackpool manager within the next few days, here is waht I expect in the january transfer window from Coyle

Djezziri- Released
Noguera- Released
Nathan Delfouneso- Recalled
Scott Robertson- Dundee United- £200,000

Tom Barkhuizen- Recalled
DJ Campbell- QPR- £750,000- when loan at Ipswich ends
Marvin Sordell- Bolton- Season loan

Matt Phillips to stay to the end of the season at least.

Tom Ince to stay anyway

Much too optimistic and unrealistic for Matt Phillips and Ince to stay as Blackpool appear to be in a continuing struggle and there will be better teams, even in the Championship, who will be in for them. They must aspire to improve while regularly playing.

12 Sep 2012 09:54:30

27 Jul 2012 13:38:44

Peterborough United ins- Nathaniel Knight -Percival- Wrexham , Danny Swanson-Dundee United , Jonson Clarke-Harris-Coventry , Robert Olejink-Torquay , Nick Powell LOAN-Man Utd , Luke Freeman + Michael Bostwick -Stevenage , Jon Daly -Dundee United also close to signing , Daniel Nardellio and John Fleck

You were doing fine untill you got onto thr Powell loan, all down hill a bit from there though.

Charlton Athletic want John Fleck, and play in the championship. And can offer him more money.Even Sheff Utd and Coventry in league one, could offer him more money than Dundee United. All they can sway him with is Europe. And he has had that already with Rangers. If he actually got on the pitch.

So how are Dundee going to sign Nardiello who joined Rotheram?

28 Jun 2012 13:15:29

Paul Dixon-Dundee United-Free
Jody Morris-St Johnstone-Free
Bradley Wright-Phillips-Charlton Athletic-£250k

Peterborough's summer spending is being funded by the sales of Paul Taylor £2.5m, George Boyd £1.5m, David Ball £250k, Nicky Ajose £250k, Mark Little £200k all this is on top of the January sale of Ryan Bennett to Norwich £4.5m. Posh have also got high earner Joe Lewis off the wage bill and there chairman Darragh MacAnthony has also made additional funds available on top of any sales and have already attracted Danny Swanson from Dundee United to Posh, they really could go very well next season as they always recruit well. A lot of clubs are starting to copy The Posh's transfer policy of signing young and hungry players and selling them for big profits. For me Posh are dark horses for the play offs next season and are a club clearly on the up.
