01 Jul 2015 07:53:19
Wouldnt worry about it. I think its probably just media rubbish again, it was reported by the Daily Fail after all. Karanka is too intelligent for signings like this.

01 Jul 2015 07:47:26
He's going to Wigan . thankfully

01 Jul 2015 10:17:52
There are 3 Scotland strikers consistently in the top 15 in the championship and a further 4 strikers in last seasons top 20 that played in the SPL.

01 Jul 2015 11:05:33
He has signed for wigan.
a colleague of mine works in Norfolk and unfortunately for me he is a Norwich fan that I gave stick to last season after doing the double over them (that came back to bite me in the end), anyway he'd heard yesterday that we are preparing an offer for Cameron Jerome and that Norwich have said we can buy Hooper but not take him on loan till January which had been our initial enquiry.
A decision on Jerome depends on them landing two of their striking targets so we might have a lengthy wait for developments there.

Norwich City are interested in signing Dundee United midfielder, Stuart Armstrong and Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray this transfer window. There is also interest in Peterborough United defender Jack Baldwin.

Baldwin has been out for months and is not set to return to action before pre season. Good prospect but can't see Norwich stumping up cash for an injured player.

31 Jan 2015 20:19:14
lol, Gray to norwich, that's as funny as Gray to bournemouth

Baldwin out for the season so I would have another think about that one.

07 Jan 2015 06:51:48

Swansea, West Brom and league 1 side Sheffield United are also interested but Holloway hopes he can convince him to join the South London club & could try to push it through this month has the Lions battle relegation in the Championship

Burnley set to supplement their Premier Leavue squad with the signings of Stevie May from St Johnstone and Ryan Gauld from Dundee United. The two Scottish prospects are very highly rated by Sean Dyche who had them scouted on at least five seperate occasions last season.

Checked my Sources after reading this and found it to be untrue.

Pepe Mel spent Sunday clarifying his options with West Brom officials.
Albion want to reduce their wage bill by 10% in the current window but conformed to Mel yesterday that funds raised above that figure will be available to him but must include both transfer/loan fees and any new contract commitment.
Mel will today tell Shane Long to sign the contract extension on the table or leave the club. West Ham and Celtic are believed to be willing to pay the £5m asking price should Long decide to leave.
Mel will also sanction the cancellation of Nicolas Anelkas contract by mutual consent and the release of Markus Rosenberg and Diego Lugano on free transfers. He will then however have to wheel and deal in order to bring in some new faces.
A swap deal with Sunderland involving James Morrison and Craig Gardner looks likely. Mel will also seek to sign Roque Santa Cruz from Malaga on loan and Ruben Castro from Mel's former club Real Betis with Rosenberg perhaps being used as a make weight in a permanent deal. Moves for Bolton's Tim Roth and Dundee Uniteds Andrew Robertson which were being mooted prior to Mel's appointment will also go ahead.

There are strong indications that Andrew Robertson is on his way to Everton

14 Jan 2014 03:42:31

09 Dec 2013 14:25:57
Celtic looking at Ings and Vaughen in the championship at Burnley and Huddersfield, and McKay at ICT as strikers

And are looking at Armstrong in midfield and Gary Mackay Steven on the wing at Dundee United, and McGinn at Saint Mirren

09 Dec 2013 17:42:12
Can't see you getting Vaughan unless you bid big. and I can't see that. At least £5m before they'll even answer the phone.

09 Dec 2013 18:55:07
I am not a Celtic fan. Just letting you in on what we are reading up here. And Celtic have the money, with having no Rangers in the champions league sharing the pot with them. Plus they sold players and netted 20 million. And need a new goal scorer to replace Hooper. As there new strikers like Balde has been duds. And the others are hardly setting the heather alight.

09 Dec 2013 20:17:14
It's in the papers down here as well. I don't know much about Celtic, but I did read their transfer record is £6.5m. I just don't see Celtic matching that for a player who's had a very injury prone career! I also don't see the Huddersfield chairman selling him on the cheap!

Local Huddersfield paper says "not for sale" but we've seen that before!

09 Dec 2013 21:10:35
Well they signed Sutton and Hartson who were injury prone, and they became legends for them. Also they have signed plenty of players in the same ball part as 6.5 million before just under. All he needs to do is lift the phone to Arteta, Jelavic, Naismith to ask what life is like in Glasgow. Or about how big Celtic is a club. Even if they only knewthem as the rivals.

Look all you want bfc have put 10m on Ings

11 Dec 2013 16:41:48
Celtic are a massive club, no doubt about that. Shame they play is a not very good, one horse league. A league similar to putting Chelsea in the conference.

I'd also guess that Championship wages aren't much (if any lower) than the Scott's prem. Yes, he might go to Celtic, remember though Vaughan lives in Liverpool and is more than happy there. He's just got married to a Liverpool lass and in four months into a three year contract. My guess is he's stay at little old Huddersfield till at least the summer and then if he's stayed fit and keeps his form, he's off back to the English premier league. The place a fit Vaughan belongs.
Yes I am a Huddersfield fan and I hope we keep him a long as possible, but wish him well in his career.

16 Dec 2013 12:52:44
Celtic won't be able to afford either player. Sad times when a Champions League club is priced out of Championship Strikers.

19 Dec 2013 18:40:42
Ings has had half a decent season & now all of a sudden he's valued at £10m. Utter nonsense!

20 Dec 2013 10:28:07
First of all it takes some if not all new players time to adjust to life and football in Scotland.
That is a fact so do not judge a player in there first year of a 4/5 year contract in Scottish football.

31 Aug 2013 14:46:59
Leeds United scout Kevin McAllister, scouting Dundee United players Stuart Armstrong Scotland under 21 and Gary Mackay Steven again. Could be bidding on both players soon.

Best get bidding quick then

Well it would want to be quick as the window shuts Monday.

01 Sep 2013 21:43:32
Need good English youth players like we've already have in the academy no needs to spend mediocre second rate jocks

You're right, all Scottish footballers are s****. Bremner, Lorimer, Jordan, Strachan, McAllister, Snodgrass, McCormack - dreadful players.

Lorimar. A Geordie mate you mean Grey.

Or even Gray!

Peter Lorimer is Scottish, born and bred in Dundee.

23 Aug 2013 01:56:12
Great News coming out of Blackburn for their fans- Gary Bowyer has reassured fans that Scott Dann and Jordan Rhodes are not for sale.
On the in comings Blackburn have approached Dundee United in a 500,000 bid for Gary Mackay Steven.
Blackburn have also handed a trial to Dutch winger Marvin Zeegleaar ahead of a proposed loan move to Rovers
Blackburn are also keen to bring in a attacking player and Billy Sharp of Southampton and Max Clayton of Crewe let the list of targets
The Outgoings include Morten Gamst Pedersen going to Copenhagen have broken down.
Gael Givet is in talks with 3 unamed clubs
10 Days To Go- at Ewood Park

You've got more chance of the venkys leaving than getting mackay steven for 500,000. you'd be better putting another zero in that
