Eugene Galekovic made his debut in the 3-1 loss to Carlton at Epping. He went on to perfom really well against Marconi and his career took off. He is now understudy to Melbourne's number 1 goalkeeper, Dean Anastasiadis and Galekovic is also a current member of the Australian Olympic squad, known as the Olyroos, The Olyroos are preparing for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games
