Livorno President Aldo Spinelli warns Lazio he will only accept £5 million cash for Marco Amelia and not player exchanges.
The goalie was repeatedly linked with the Stadio Olimpico side after Angelo Peruzzi chose to hang up his gloves in the summer.
'Negotiations are simply not happening,' said Spinelli. 'Lazio have only offered us other players in exchange, however we have a 26 man team and are not looking for anyone else. Either Lazio have given us the money we have requested, or Amelia will stay where he is. Livorno require their goalkeeper.'
The shot stopper with a World Cup winner's medal has also been of interest to Betis, Sevilla and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Next week Livorno will present their 4 new transfers to the Press – Francesco Tavano, Fausto Rossini, Massimo Loviso and Emanuele Filippini.
