Southampton have named former captain Jason Dodd as their new 1st team coach.
Dodd has stepped down as manager of Conference South club Eastleigh to take over the position left vacant following Glynn Snodin′s departure to West Ham.
The 36 year old earned himself legendary status during his 16 years with the Saints and manager George Burley informed the club′s official website, "I am delighted Jason has agreed to join us and very grateful to Eastleigh for releasing him. He will be a big asset."
Burley added, "He has fantastic passion and enthusiasm and he knows the game inside out so I am looking forward to working with him."
