Dorchester Town Football Club

04 November 2006

Dorchester Town manager Mick Jenkins has sealed a deal to bring Exeter City defender Danny Seaborne to the club on a three-month loan deal. Jenkins managed to secure a deal for the 19-year-old earlier this week and has now confirmed the Grecians youngster has joined the Nationwide South club.

Seaborne signed his first full professional contract with Exeter in May 2005 and has so far made five league appearances and scored one goal.

Jenkins told the Dorset Echo: "Danny can play as a left centre-back or a left-back and I am glad to have him on board. He is a strong player who has a really good character and I am sure he will be a great addition to the squad. Hopefully we will see his worth over the next few weeks."

Jenkins is also hoping to sign Aldershot Town utility player Chris Giles, who can play as a centre back or up front. Giles is a free agent and has been training with League One side Yeovil Town.

He added: "I am still pursuing Chris at the moment. He picked up an injury playing for Weymouth Reserves and he was having treatment on that yesterday at Yeovil but I am hopeful we can sort something out."

Former Portsmouth and Oxford United defender Terry Parker has signed a two-year contract while former Barnet midfielder Guy Lopez has penned a one-year deal.

Jenkins has also secured the services of highly-rated goalkeeper Richard Martin on a season-long loan from League One outfit Brighton and Hove Albion.
