World Cup forwards Ivan Kaviedes and Agustin Delgado were omitted from Ecuador′s team for the Copa America in Venezuela later this month.
The pair helped Ecuador to their best finish in Ecuador′s 2nd appearance in the finals in Germany last year, losing to England in the 2nd round.
Kaviedes has lost form following injury, the team′s Colombian coach Luis Suarez said. Delgado has seen little action for 6 months serving a suspension lifted in May for his part in a brawl in a league match.
Ecuador are in Group B with Chile, Mexico and holders Brazil in the tournament which runs from June 26 to July 15.
