Hibs manager John Collins has scrapped signing talks with Cameroonian defender Thierry Gartheussi.
The 25 year old had impressed on trial with the Easter Road club however the deal has now collapsed, with Collins now turning his attention elsewhere.
"The deal is dead, it′s disappointing it had taken so long for him to reply, however that′s football," mentioned Collins.
"We have a few trialists for the same position coming in, so we′ll move on and see how they do."
International full back Gatheussi shone in the friendly triumph over Brechin City and during the club′s pre season spell in Austria, before returning to France to consider his options.
Meanwhile, Collins informed the Edinburgh Evening News that Marisu Tomislav had not done enough to secure a contract, inspite of the Slovenian forward scoring the 3rd goal in Saturday′s 5-0 triumph over Stirling Albion.
