Ben Foster

Birth Date: 03/04/1983
Birth Place: Leamington Spa
Birth Nation: England
Height: 188cm
Weight: 80kg
Nationality: English
Position: Goalkeeper

Ben signed for Stoke City in 2002. While at Stoke he spent time on loan, first at Kidderminster Harriers, then at Wrexham. Manchester United stepped in and paid £1million down for him in July 2005 even though he had yet to play a first team game for Stoke. It is possible the fee could rise to as much as £3million, dependant on first team and international appearances. Man Utd manager, Alex Ferguson, saw Foster play for Wrexham while watching his son, Darren, play in the LDV Final.

Ben spent the 2005/6 season on loan at Watford, where he helped them to promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs. He performed so well he even made the England standby list for the 2006 World Cup after Robert Green suffered an injury ruling him out for the tournament.

Foster has returned to Watford on a season long loan for the 2006/7 season.
