Iraqi star Hawar Mulla Mohammed will become an Arminia Bielefeld player as soon as January's transfer window opens.
The 25 year-old star of Iraq's 2007 Asian Cup victory has been angling for a move from Cyprus outfit Apollon since Bundesliga clubs became expressed their interest earlier this year.
The midfielder, who will become the first Iraqi to play in the Bundesliga, will leave Apollo a year before his contract is due to finish.
"I have reached a deal with Apollon and they will allow me to move to another club," said Hawar to the Asian Football Confederation's official site.
"I will sign with Arminia Bielefeld after Iraq's first leg match of the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Pakistan,' added Hawar.
